So I downloaded the SWF to peek inside the code to see what's going on with the badges-- it looks like the way it reports medals is like this: "_root.kongregateStats.submit("deadeye", 4);" The Kong API is only set to track the value of any medals earned and not the actual statistics. If you get a "4", it means you got bronze, "3" is silver, "2" is gold, "1" is platinum.
Belanar -- Hah, my broken counter beat you by 1!
Also, every requirement of the Impossible badge got stuck at 4 as well, that can't be a coincidence...
The miniature delay when swapping dimentions sometimes causes the game to not register a "key up" command when you let go of a key just after dimension swapping. This causes you to go flying past where you intend to a bunch. Should add an additional key check just after swapping dimension.
Are badges broken? I've been trying to get them for quite some time now, and it won't give them to me. I also noticed that on the achievements tab, nobody has been logged within the past week.
For some reason for me, about 80% of the challenge badges (the timed ones) count to the number directly before the required amount then just stop :(
Anyhow, well done Mr. Shinks :D Nothing makes you feel like a badass quite as much as having your speakers loud enough for everyone to hear while playing "Hole In The Ground"... lol
This game (on a different site) used to have its difficulty ramped way up, I feel like. Also, for some reason even though this is my second play thru the game, I manage to neglect to remember that I need to click to continue after every level X.x
getting 15 "kw" words is friggin' impossible, even with a cheat sheet. There is no guarantee that you'll actually get a starter or ender that you need even if you scramble every time you have the chance. Even getting 5 is extremely difficult.
So I went all the way thru the game to get the black key in the bottom right corner only to find out that I don't have quite enough jump power to get out of the area, and the save point is in the pit. I'm not playing this entire game over =/
Game really needs to check which directional key is being held while executing attacks. It's immensely frustrating just flying off a cliff because apparently the left key didn't register before a kick.
yeah! love that bit
