The last level of the demo on extreme difficulty would require a level 15 archer with armor-piercing skill. But my party is only level 10. Btw, you can reskill archers to max.poison against those pesky armored skeletons, this works fine as long as there are not too many of them.
Endboss Veznor is so funny, I often die stupid because I'm watching him to say something. Wizard Tower teleport-upgrade: "You shall not pass" - Veznor: "Yes we shall pass!" LOL :)
Grindy game. They put you against enemies before anyone can beat them. Only by rinse and repeat you can upgrade your units enough, but that's no strategy to beat them but a waste of time.
A random map generator might be a good idea considering how many people want more levels! :) Like Freecell, a number like 23.743 generates a unique dungeon .. to see if every dungeon is beatable.
Thank you so much for this game! When you learned to play the game, it becomes too easy. When you put a soldier in defense mode, he has infinite attacks. Keep up the good work!
Important: To easily win in nightmare difficulty, play game on easy and win by writing a constitution. After the highscore table appears click on "Keep playing" and check your city hall. There's a new mission "rescue another city", so train your 5 best survivors up to 10/10/10/10 in everything. You get to start a new city of your choice of options (including huge and enormous city maps) and carry the best survivors over into a new game.
Really liked that Last Flake can raise health regeneration up to 15% and raise her health to 200... she went back to max-hp every other round during the final boss fight :)
To be more precise I did some Excel work: When you have 10 skillpoints, somebody who invests in Wisdom first has 11 skillpoints. When you have 16 points, he has 19, and so on: 20vs25, 26vs34, 30vs40, 35vs47, 40vs 54. The break-even point is at 50vs70 Skillpoints, when he has those 20 extra points needed for Wisdom.
@LordBucket there's a HUGE mistake in your calculation. You forgot that the exp return from later missions pay back it's investment cost very quickly. You buy wisdom cheap (50,100,...) in the beginning but sell their bonus very expensive (3000 + 40% = 1200exp bonus?) in the later levels. With my compound interest rate I have wisdom 20 by the time you have Ranged 15, and when have level 20 there, I get to have 20wis AND 20 Ranged, too.
@ChessTyrant: Yes, I'd recommend going straight for wisdom 20 because it's very effective once you hit 2000 exp needed for a level-up. Then the exp curve becomes flat, only increasing by +100 per level forever (next is 2100, 2200, 2300... and so on)
Look at the highscore tables :) It's proof that every level is beatable on the first try. I think level 15 is the hardest, but with paying attention to the details, then it's possible. _=*Victory*=- Rixmith thanks for this game./Do you have email? Let's chat. (wickych-at-icqmail-dot-com)
Every level can be won easily with only the 2nd flyer unit (the air-alien which can attack both air and ground).. gound enemies cant even shoot back!
+1 to bring this to the top
Finally I beat all 20 levels in challenge mode with perfect (check the highscores xD)
This was a monumental task which requires a looong holiday right now!
Attached are screenshots at the end of each level if you want to see when and where the heroes were positioned.

PS: Please to remove the feature which unpauses when a hero levels up, keep up the good work!
Lol, the award for reaching level 5 goes to: a Tree !!
His exceptional summon, by Nirvana, receives the reward of +1 intelligence and disappears off into the woods with the achievement!!
This game plays, like a survivor joins your group and brings a rifle that explodes in his face. Then he passes it on to the next one so it can explode in his face too! After everyone had the rifle once, it goes around again and again until everybody lost five eyes!
