2d14h17m -- Bought two levels of health regen and a +50% med kit. Be interesting to see whether finishing the tree while still using a machine pistol is game over or winnable...
2 days 22 hours 36 minutes. Can definitely be done faster if you a) don't buy all the health regen upgrades (I skipped the armour upgrades entirely), and b) make sure to be researching or growing the tree every spare moment (e.g. while reloading). I slacked off a bit on the latter, and it probably cost me a wave.
I haven't managed to procure the morningstar yet, but faster weapons like the assassin's dagger and dartagnan's blade seem to be superior to the vindicator because they have a much shorter cooldown, so you can swing with 100% power more often.
"Once a notorious gangster..." Wait, wait, wait. I thought the entire reason for the demon's assault was that they couldn't find any evil in the critters to use?
Frayz: I don't think it's a glitch. You gain the same income per turn, whether you won or lost. Winning gets you more income per turn though (the second number on each system is how much conquering that system adds to your per-turn income).
