Honestly, these barely count as games anymore. They are all the same rehashed confusing UI, energy burner/time based games with payment incentives. I wouldn't even call it free to play, because there's almost no "playing" involved. It's mindless clicking, and deserves badges about as much as the 10 other games that involve knights/vampires/werewolves/gangs. You throw a different coat of paint on an overly sexualized female helper, and that's all it takes.
Sorry Nerdook, but I can't bring myself to like this one. I'm a huge fan of everything else you make, so maybe it was my high expectations that screwed this one over. You churn out quality games faster than I can even imagine, so I can't fault you too much for this one.
I understand you were going for a "minesweeper" feel, but apart from the lax strategy involved, the game was very passive. Even on normal mode, I only beat the first boss, and ended up faceplanting at every other fight. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I could say "Well, I'm clearly not very good at this game". But, I feel like there's nothing to really be good AT.
Sorry for being a bit harsh. It's only human to mess up every so often, and with how many good games you've published, finding one I wasn't a fan of was a bit overdue. But hey, return to form on your next release, and I won't even remember this one existed!
Who else noticed that Evony is censored in chat? If you haven't yet, go ahead and try it! But just another one of "those" games. I am probably backing out of it after the medium badge. At least S&P tried to be fun
It met my expectations. It was a promo game, and as such, it was barely enjoyable. The customization was minimal, and the combat for me just involved mashing my mouse forward for half an hour. When I got to the dragon boss, I just sat there and hacked at the air where his head used to be, and even when he was holding his head up, blood would still come out of the poorly drawn hitbox. Overall, 2/5.
Very good game, but small adjustments would be nice.
-To my knowledge, you can only have a primary and secondary (pistol). It'd be better if you could have 2 primaries, and simply pull out the worst pistol if you get downed.
-This is a HUGE stretch, but online? I know it's a lot of development, and probably requires rebuilding from the ground up, but it would be AWESOME if you could play it just like CoD's zombies.
It's a shame that this can be considered a game, or even original. Every one of these new games that gets tabbed as "intense MMO action" follows the same pattern of people with less than 3 articles of clothing trying to entice you into doing a combination of mindlessly grinding away at clicking tasks and spending money on fake objects. It's a shame that Kongregate brings these games to their site, if only for the income made off of Kred purchases.
Not much different from the original, but the new control scheme sets it apart from other shooters. Also, to anybody who posted the "z for auto-shoot", thanks a bunch. I play on a MacBook, which makes holding down the mouse button and aiming really hard.
Not that great, especially due to the whole "waiting" aspect. Only playing to get the badges at this point, the fact that it's in a "dream world" is apparent only by the fact it's named as such. Though granted, I could probably fall asleep before my energy came back.
There are certainly far better games out there. One of the low points of this one is the inability to get any batteries from levels that you don't pass. And the few that you do earn from the enemies cause you to go back and replay levels over and over again just to get one upgrade. 1/5, if it was better than its precursor I would be more lenient.
Hahaha, if this game didn't have an achievement, I would have stopped at wave 10, when it stopped being original. But, silly me thought that the game would get decent as it progressed, obviously why Kongregate gave it a "wave 30" badge. Turns out its the same garbage, with traps that fire different orbs and weights that when spikes are attached, do the same damage but fall more often, which makes perfect sense. Yeah, complete garbage. 1/5.
One thing that really needs changed is the ability for the cannon to shoot over bugs. Once a bug gets past the first row with a set of papers, he is basically invincible. Apart from this slight flaw, a great game overall.
Yeah, I really was expecting better than this. With the continuous mission feel and lack of variety, this feels like one of the spin-off games. The bolt rifles have almost no advantage over the LMGs. I was hoping that this game would be worth the months of anticipation but you should have stopped at the trilogy mark.
Definitely better than most of the "top" games out there this week as of Saturday (Skateboard Adventure, admittedly stolen King's Island) Although it's not all that original of an idea I like the different theme, and it'd probably be better if the selected piece was highlighted. 4/5 Good effort.
The concept gets a 5/5, but the multiplayer function causes the game to lag beyond belief. Even lowering the quality to low showed no improvement. It's a great concept, and the only thing more fun than winning at this game is watching others fail, but maybe a better programmer could have improved the lag issues...
not sure how people are still figuring it out, my computer can't even give a correct loading percent. I am getting 888% like many others. When I WAS able to play it before, it was very well thought out 5/5
I liked it, but I accidentally did the comp game before installing matter encoder, which made it so i couldn't progress, I would have liked to see the ending but still good game
