Did anyone else get a tutorial at level 2 about the arrows? I never seen a tutorial on those. All I remember are the tutorials on verticals and those stupid spirals.
The medium badge is incorrect in its description. It is impossible to get 8 amateur awards by getting only one perfect and all bronze. The last song requires 17 points and 1 perfect plus 6 bronze does not give 17 points for the last song to unlock.
The diazepam's hotkey needs fixing. Apparently, the people who made this game don't know that the right click also brings up extra options for whatever's being highlighted or hovered over.
The game is an abomination of a tower defense. I know better tower defenses that came out long before this game. The only reason I'm here is for the most tedious of the "Badge of the Day"s.
Going for the "Fully research 20 specimens." achievement. The fastest way to do it is to kill the specimens after fully researching them. The funniest part of this is what the character says as he does this.
Alex (first research): Knowing this about my specimen will help me control it.
Alex (second research): I think I now understand this... person... better. This will be helpful.
He then shoots the specimen.
I would like to think that at this point, he says his line but thinks something along the lines of, "Yep. That information was definitely helpful for this experiment."
This game has a neat concept, but the cons outweigh the pros, in my opinion. The fact that the layout is random with no stable algorithm leaves the game too many options to screw the player over. For instance, I had one run with no way to replenish my lifespan because the game never spawned a soul shrine. Another death came from not having any way to heal other than getting more armor. Let's not forget that the only way to kill a dragon is to have either a really good run where you max armor and weapon before even meeting a dragon, or to have the Divine Edge on you when you encounter one. The only problem with this is, there is no way to tell if the next monster is a dragon or not. Basically, this game boils down to one thing. Luck. With no upgrade system to speak of, this game receives a 1/5 stars in my book.
This is a really good TD game. I am a fan of this genre and this game just added another mechanic that made it more interesting. I am somewhat sad that this game doesn't have an "Endless" mode to play in after the game is beaten.
I'm not going to lie, this is a really good game. The difficulty curve is kindda steep, but there's a good reason for it. Good way to train your brain to think about more than just one thing at once.
I found this to be an extremely enjoyable experience. The end got a bit dark so the buttons were a bit hard to see, but the game as a whole was quite fantastic. 5/5
A lot of the stuff in this game doesn't make sense. For instance, what's the use of going on quests and saving the town? Seriously, YOU have to pay to save the town from monsters? Is it just me or does that seem wrong? Then there's the battle systems (yes... systems... plural...), I don't know about anyone else, but the systems seemed to weaken your character(s) too much for it to even matter. What's the point in upgrading if all that's going to happen is you're not going to get an improvement? The combat and game are slow paced, and, in my opinion, these types of games and combat systems need to move faster. The supposed lag issue fix doesn't even work. I switched to low quality and am still lagging. I'm running on an Alienware desktop computer as well so there's no excuse for this lag other than it comes with the game.
seriously... what's so bad about programming in WASD as alternative movement keys? what if people's arrow keys are messed up, making platforming becomes difficult?
