I usually hate this genre, but in my opinion - it's certainly the best pokemon-like game on kongregate. I'll give it 5/5, but all the unecessary walking should be seriously removed [there's no need for guy with a map and absolutely no need for these empty passages between rooms]. On another (small) note, evolving don't feel epic at all and my favorite creature has only 2 forms :(. Maybe, it should happen less often, like on 25/45 lvls or requiring special items?
Badge for clicking squares... it's not different than giving achievements to click-based idle games. I guess game is suposed to be 'adorable' in reception, but that's not what I'm looking for during play.
Overall: 1/5 as game, nothing original. As for story - likely the same.
Bonus points for ducks? Not this time.
Below mediocre. For me, it simply represents that developer is able to make a basic shooting game. It doesn't feel like a game at all... maybe for kids, but I also doubt it there, due to difficulty curve and design [focus on defensive playstyle and skipping levels without killing enemies?]
'Need 1 new badge to get shiny kongpanion'
Okay, I've free trime, let's do this.

Nevermind.
'Hey, I still didn't rate THAT ONE 1/5!'
I hope it's correct place to leave opinions.
A) Please add more rare tiers of students, like 1/10000, 1/100000 and so on
B) it would be nice to be able to loot items from missions, tiers can be similar (random)
C) VA II is missing replayability, make quest-chains replayable on harder level?
D) Maybe try to add something like endless dungeon with harder and harder opponents
Thank you for your suggestion. The new VA is on Kickstarter now, it's called Valthirian Arc: Red Covenant. Please support us :D https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/agatestudio/valthirian-arc-red-covenant
Petition to players:
If (for example), you see card on bazaar for 1999 and 2000, buy the second one.
Low cuts are kinda a-hole strategy and no-one benefits with them.
True, and they are overall more comprehensive. But this game is a useful way to test yourself nonetheless, and it allows you to realize many of your "mistakes", and let you know which characters you still haven't memorized and you wouldn't know that otherwise. My classmates and I all used this game in the beginning of our Japanese course, and we all agreed that this game was helpful. Not to say that books are faster or slower, but books don't render this game pointless.
oops sorry
