Great set up! It is definitely worth adding more levels to, though I would recommend making respawning reset guards so you cant just use suicide kills.
You may think the character looks like a cat with the little "ears" in the hair. Now, imagine those as horns and the "bangs" as teeth. It now looks like some sort of parasitic demon creature. Fits well with how the power-ups are flames and the goal is to escape a cave. Perhaps the person wondered in and is now being used, since the demon can not handle the keys. Even scarier if you imagine yourself as the demon, controlling them to escape your prison. Though just cause your red and have teeth and horns doesn't mean you could be a not-so evil mind controller.
"Hey guys, wanna go put some radios on those islands" "Won't that weird guy see us?" "No way, he goes to sleep as long as there isn't any noise, besides he's colorblind" "Ill get the boat, go get some radios" Much later "HOW DID HE JUMP THAT HIGH!?"
The reason the air controls are "backwards" is because when you spin the wheels to forward(clockwise), your vehicle goes counterclockwise. Its not bad, its realistic.
