I didn't really like level 10, since it was unintuitive (the one where you have to do a ton of wasted moves), and difficult for someone who's used to doing things as efficiently as possible.
I would like to see a version allowing split-logic (a basic if(cond, if-true, if-false) structure), and a sandbox.
Either that or make the next one functional, rather than procedural *evil grin*
This game would have been FAR better if it has had a specific goal. For example, 19 lvl + boss, etc. As it is without any goal, it's a great engine with mediocre use of it.
I would love to give this game a 5, but can't. The controls killed it for me. Yeah, the hearts were kinda hard and require planning ahead, but I won't rant about them.
The problem is twofold:
1. I like my controls to be more responsive. When you're flying across the screen, with an obstacle on the other side, holding down an arrow key for the whole distance should be enough to slow you down... it's not.
2. that would be OK, if at least you could bounce right. But the ground is sticky. I got taken out a lot in the beginning because I was under the mistaken impression that if you're on the floor and press up+left, you will accelerate up (to get out of the stickiness) and left. I was wrong.. you slowly go left, and don't lift off at all. You have to go purely up, and then go left.. and get killed unless you were looking really far in advance.
Basically I'd rather the controls perform more closely to the other Ragdoll games, as opposed to them tuned down to 1/10th responsiveness.
It has potential, but is too slow.
I played it for a bit; couldn't find a way to get new spells/power/health. IDK if that's an option, but either it takes too long or it needs to be added.
I also saw no point to most of the villages; I went off the path once to see if I could get anything... no result.
The only problem I have with it is the keyboard controls. I both have a problem with spacebar+arrows at the same time, and the directional controls interfere with each other (for example, you can't hold up and right, then up and left, then down and left, then down and right without letting go each time-- and when you've got a unmaneuverable mail carrier, you don't have that time to spare.)
This would be good. Except that, when I get attacked, the interface stops working properly. So any ideas I had of building more defenses, repairing things, etc. are gone.
wuppumatte: Click the X in the upper right corner of whatever screen pops up...
The game: It's good, but the combat could go faster. In a big fight it takes ages to get through all of it.
4/5 for two reasons:
1. It crashed firefox a few times, but loaded back to where I was so I only had to replay one level (forgot to save).
2. I don't like timed levels where I can't sit back and experiment with the different weapons. Because of that I basically never used the shotgun or saw, and rarely used the flamer (only on the last boss).
It's a decent TD, but there are a couple flaws:
1. Too damn slow. After IDK how many hours, I'm on level 120something (and still going). It got to the point where I would just leave it going while I left to do other things.
2. Quality. It maxes out one of the cores of my C2D, and is VERY laggy, to the point where placing anything is difficult.
3. Highscores. After that long a time, I want a score.
Pretty good. I mostly liked it, except that the player is too weak. he gets killed in like 2 hits, and doesn't regenerate any more (a couple times I've played entire levels and not gotten a single health-restore). Coupled with the absolute devastation that the fire-dudes throw out, you don't last terribly long.
Still though, possibly the best boxhead one yet.
I jumped ontop of the boss, and am now kinda free-falling in the middle of blacknes..
But yeah, it's pretty good. An interesting idea, though it could use more complexity.
It's pretty good, except that with my copy of flash (might be me, doesn't really matter) some of the things are misaligned (for example, my grade), so were hard to read. Other than that, it's a good concept
Amazing game.. deceptively simple, but really hard to continue predicting what will happen.
Note: Don't say it's too easy until you're on the highscores.
