i cant finish one of the missions, i play mass carriers and i kill everything on screen and my ships just fly back and forth until the whole screen lags. its 57 difficulty, mission flank and left bottom cornerish
not sure if this is intended but at later stages of the game, since u can't choose the skills ur allies get, you get to a point where you can stack more than 100% reduction in enemy damage and they end up doing nothing to you almost indefinitely when you add in abilities that give you damage reduction. eg belittle+powder bomb+pepper bomb+sub zero. This seems a little broken as i have over 300 hp and end up taking only poison/burn/bleed damage every battle which is only like 50hp at most.
in terms of the fighting, the white bar that you must click on to get more damage isnt very well done. sometimes i get the bar so thin its just a single line, and other times the bar is located right at the very beginning and i cant get it even if i double click really fast, just makes it seem really screwed up
some of the buildings arent very balanced....the third Campaign, when you get to control the infected, you just need to build the first turret. it infests so much and cost so little that u just keep building those and u cant lose. the frigate also seems a little op, its not that expensive once u build medium ship factory but its pretty dam strong, makes the battleship a little useless since it cost so much more
overall i loved the game, nice concept, nice gameplay
idk, i sorta liked the game, but at the same time i didnt. i played for about 5 mins before i realized that i had no idea why i was still playing this game. this "this feels sorta pointless now" feeling came crawling, after all, i can only do the same thing over and over again so many times. Perhaps you should add something that gives some drive to this game? i thoroughly enjoyed the humorous text at the bottom and would have like to see more of it as the game went on. It makes it so much more interesting and theres something pulling you into the game, making you want to find out more about "the core", "the text" and the game as a whole
Yea, I know what you mean. The game sort of picks up on lvl3 where you get a lot of 'danger pieces'. The reason for it not picking up before that is inherent to how the mechanics work. It does need something more though, I completely agree and I'm working on some stuff that will show up soon-ish. =) Thank you for your comments.
just went back to play 3 again, firstly, the battle screens were much better in 3, this one is too focuses and not tall or wide enough, doesn't have that epic feel. secondly, no mini map, thirdly, the unit sprites were way better in 3, they moves and changed. now the units here just stand like statues and walk forward. fourthly, mana bar looks way out of place, and so does the menu button during battle scenes. fifthly, some of the attacks are just way too over dramatic, like the wizard guy, the black gushing of magic attack. doesnt look good, doesnt feel good.
did anyone find that all the other units were pretty much useless compared to the basic unit? by the time i got the first unit to max upgrade, i pretty much just won the game with them...a little op maybe?
most games, you just have to get the concept. This game, be late by 1 second and you have to repeat another 20 seconds just to get back to where you were the last 20 times. I'm glad it only had 13 levels, any more and i think i would've stopped. But aside from the perfectionism of this game, i love it and it kept me going all the way through 13 lvls, and to come out the other side going, yes i freakin did it!!!
and why doesnt the anti-biotics work on the blue infected cells? also, found the game really easy once u got to like 3-4 reproduction. eg last lvl u had to spawn 55 and i got that in like 10 seconds....
the thing i love most about this game is how you can begin a lvl, totally out numbered and going wtf, and then beating the lvl and going yeah thats right purple tentacles, you aint got nothing :/
i think one thing you could with a game like this is to have a group of say 5-10 people as a specified "unit" or maybe even more. This makes it seem a bit more realistic as having like 40 people declare a constitution and then win is a bit wtf. so instead of having just 40 people and winning the game, you would have 400 people, which doesnt change the game mechanics but does make it seem a bit more realistic. same thing with the buildings, i'd like to see some buildings take up more space. this way, u can look down at ur little city and go yeah thats right. its all mine, rather than just having like 25 squares of farms and apartments
