(light spoilers I suppose)
After the dark maze, I exited to the right and found myself in a room with a save point and some strange robed guy in it. I didn't get a good look at anything though, since it had placed me at the right exit, even though I had entered from the left. So I moved the right arrow key to walk into the room and ended up in the final boss fight. It's a good thing he wasn't too hard or I would have gone back to a much earlier save. Is this strange placement intentional or a glitch? I have a nasty suspicion that robed guy I didn't get a chance to talk to sells you battle mode.
fantastic game... but I'm only here to complain that my mighty and accidental 7,434 km shot was not recognized as a high score. And no, it wasn't the last shot of a hole.
forgetting your biology? cilia are the little hairs around the boss - what else is moving that you'd eat off of him?
3/5, too easy (I didn't get injured until the boss level, and then only twice)
strange and interesting... as expected from the artist who worked on Gish and Tri-Achnid. I can't remember the name of the Gish programmer, but it might be the same guy.
Darneria, if you look in the top right you'll see the maximum number of balls you have left to use. Each ball you create after passing the limit takes one life away.
On my first game, I got all the achievements and ended up suiciding on level 33 from boredom. I guess this means I'm really good at... filling a screen with balls. Pretty fun, anyways. And, thehandsomedevil, I believe you're thinking of Quix.
At any given moment there are maybe 2 different things to click, and generally any problem is solved if you try both of them five times each. The artwork and creatures balance the poor gameplay just enough to earn it 3 stars.
