Has potential. The game could be improved with more content. For example, more things to upgrade and buy, more kinds of loot (rare loot?), more locations and enemies, etc.
It looks like it's possible to get extra stat points in every stat (gym membership) except CON and you can even buy skill points later on, so it might be a good idea to invest all of your starting stat points into constitution. I didn't put any and now it's my lowest stat by far.
There were at least two occasions where an enemy appeared right next to the exit and then simply walked out unchallenged, causing me to lose a life. It would be nice if that didn't happen.
Nice, the developer pays attention to feedback from comments!
More feedback/issues:
I also thought the grey hound and green hound were mixed up.
The word 'lose' has been misspelt at least three times. 'loose' has an entirely different meaning.
There were some strange sentence structures, I can't be very specific about that, unfortunately.
The main thing that made lvl 13 difficult was the hard to target bombers. If you want to reduce the difficulty, add slightly more space between the bombers and crowds of other enemies.
Thanks!
Green\grey issue will be fixed in the next update.
There are 27 pages of texts in the game, and it is really hard to make quality proofreading of such texts. Some errors still occur, and I'm fixing them due to feedback.
Lvl 13 - Playtesting it now, trying to figure out why it is so difficult to players. I can pass the game with my eyes wide shut ) However, I'll add more waypoints, it will spread the incoming crowd.
An interesting achievement could be completing the levels without killing any enemies, e.g. "Pacifist". It forces you to use extreme acrobatics and speed in order to get past enemies while taking minimal damage.
Ignore what I said earlier, "Not a scratch" isn't actually too hard to get. You only finish the game on full health, meaning have full health when fighting the boss and then not taking damage.
But maybe there could be a hard mode where you only have 1/6 health or something similar.
The wave bonus depends on how many enemies you killed in relation to the amount of time spent. Boss waves will give less bonus because the enemies are stronger but zerg waves such as wave 41 will give big bonuses.
Focus upgrades on attacks (don't forget your base turrets) to get bigger bonuses such as Master Corporal Tank, Demon Hunter and Demon Lord.
Pretty interesting, but the only problem is that there seems to be a lot of luck involved. A lucky few shots at the start of each round has a big impact.
I also love how the achievements are actual tasks/challenges, not just milestones such as "destroy 50 enemies".
And the medals look really good too.
More ideas for medals could include:
getting "top gun" on higher levels,
Having 75 allied ships on-screen at the same time
Nice and strategic, but controls could be streamlined a bit more.
What if by holding a certain key while dragging you only select one ship?
That would help with the "divide and conquer" part.
Having played up to level 20, here are my thoughts so far: It is very difficult to play aggressively against the AI because they can nearly always out-aggress you. The main strategy I used was to play defensively, responding to attacks, until I gained enough of an advantage to strike back. Easier said than done, the opponent's constant attacking will keep you on your toes.
Overall, very fast paced (even on min speed), which makes it stand out from other games with similar concepts.
