That was absolutely brilliant. I felt as though I was on an existential trip the whole time... would love it if there ends up being a sequel.

In the end, I'm all alone,
In this room where I cry and moan.
I wish the shrink would come back to me,
So I can at least tell my story.
If Kathryn were here, i would be sane,
And I would not have to feel this pain,
But time is something i cannot bend,
I've lost all hope, and this is the end...

This is THE GREATEST puzze game I have EVER played. Most puzzle games are "Oh, you're stuck in this one place and you have to get from here to here." But, this game actually has an amazing storyline, with awesome mechanics (unlike most other puzzle games). This is the easiest 5/5 I've ever given. Keep up the great work!

I loved this game!
As @Sttjp said, the game goes back to the start of the first room when you complete it.
It would be great if this was fixed.

I just realized something: Kathryn can jump on his head, but he can't on hers. This keeps you from switching the roles on the fateful level, but it's also kinda deep how it fits with the story...

the multiples of himself could represent the many times he has had the same "shrink" interview and bit by bit helping himself progress

to this day, this probably remains the most fascinating game i have ever played online, i keep coming back throughout the years. excellent concept, great music, enough mechanics to keep it interesting, brilliant storytelling. everything rounds up to an amazing gaming experience. Congratulations sir, in my mind you have created a masterpiece.
If these words get to you somehow, just know that your work, after all these years, is still loved.

I remember the first time I played this game, I thought it was like any other. I had a feeling the name, "The Company of Myself", was meaningful, but I didn't think much of it. A few levels in, I didn't think much of the game, other than "oh this is a puzzle game, I like puzzle games".When I reached the end, I was hit head-on with a fist full of story. Saline liquids were leaking from my eyes. The music choice was incredibly fitting, I don't think I would choose anything else. Mysterious yet still quite saddening. I don't think I've played a single game (as in, a game not in a series) with so much story in such a simple design.
Of course, I love this game more than any other.

My film group is currently working on a short film based on this game, we're hoping to do a good job and we should have it out in hopefully two weeks or less =). Legendary game.

at the last level you just keep jumping off the cliff and pressing jump as you fall. eventually you'll have so many clones that you will start jumping off their heads when you fall, and get to the other side =)

This is the most: Lovely, Sad, Depressing game that I've ever considered to actually make sense. 11/10. This is so touching.

If you are a person who loves emotional games/stories this game is perfect for you. If you cry a lot remember to BRING SOME TISSUES

Such an amazing game, I really can't say more, I don't know what to think because I'm close to tears. :( But for those of you who are stuck on the final level, simply keep moving forward to the edge and jump, push space to repeat and keep doing this process. Eventually you'll land on top of your clones and you'll get higher and higher till you finally make it to the other side. Developer of this game, you are amazing! <3

Love the story! Not really something amazing, but what could I expect from a short Flash Game? :P The gameplay is great, too.

Professional work. This is a sad story and such a sad story deserves a 5/5. Ah, i love when developers made games like these....

This game is short enough that it doesn't have time to get dull. The story is saddening, I really feel that I have made an emotional connection to Jack. Thank you. I really should have gotten around to playing this before. 5/5, favorited.

This is one of few games I keep coming back to, long after I've gotten the badges, long after I've completed it. why? because it is a perfect game. Unique gameplay, awesome story, great music... a perfect game indeed. 6/5

Revisiting this game after Fixation, I have to say that I think Fixation is the greater work. Fixation builds up into a greater ending, and along the way introduces a greater number of interesting game mechanics, all of which are then incorporated into the final product. This game does that too, but there are fewer mechanics and they are less fully explored. I think perhaps many people say they like this game much better do so because this one came out first and they're nostalgic for another similar experience, while Fixation was a bit different. Not that that's a terrible thing--it's only possible because this game is great too. But I must say that people who say "Fixation doesn't even hold a candle to TCOM" are completely wrong--in my mind, both are wonderful, but Fixation is clearly superior.

this game was so sad and touching at the same time. i didnt know if i should be happy that i got my badge or sad that 'the shrink' never came to visit him anymore :(

idk why but I did not cry at the end neither was I sad I read the story from beginning till the end and I did not feel sad does that mean I am cold hearted?

there are only 2 hard levels on this game... it is completable in under 30 minutes... and yet it doesn't stop me playing every time...
