This game is so frustrating... you have to build up speed by performing perfect, then once you are about to use that speed, you mess up with lik 1 degree angle and have to start over again... 2 mins wasted over and over again. Really wish there were some upgrades or faster way to gain the speed required. Performing the same over and over is NOT fun.

Ok, I lied: getting the impossible badge is mostly about luck. You're supposed to get up enough speed while going horizontally to vertically launch to mars, then launch yourself at ~45 degrees, then do real short star slides followed by quickly jumping off, which sends you sailing way high. Problem is that whether or not there are actually any stars in your way to slide on is totally up to chance, but ofc that's the only possible way to do it. You'll make it to jupiter, MAYBE saturn without exploiting the weird way jumping off star slides works. So basically you're stuck playing over and over and over again, spending ~ a minute and a half getting up to speed, jumping, and hoping you'll run into stars at exactly the right spots (which there's absolutely no way to predict), then doing it all over and over and over again until you run into stars in the exact right configuration or, more likely, get pissed off and quit.

cool, but would be nice to see a shop that you could spend your points on. buy stuff like fish population and ring chance, and maybe even a ocean floor upgrade, to give us more room.

I'm so glad I have spent hours and hours mastering the mechanics of this game with the hope of obtaining the impossible, only to realize that it depends a lot more on luck than skill to get it.

Just think about the physics of this game....... you're dolphin possibly traveling faster than the speed of light. No matter how much you travel through the freakin shallow water, the ocean never gets deeper, you can go faster than the speed of light without screwing yourself up. There's a restaurant in space. I love this game.

So basically the key to getting the achievements is to grind the same flip-jump routines over and over until you're magically lucky enough to snag a couple random rings in a row?

Does anyone else hate it when you hold down an arrow key and suddenly realize that the key doesn't turn the dolphin anymore? Drove that cute mammal several times into mud because the key went unresponsive after some event. Sad dolphin. =(

Original Comment : Man, getting the impossible badge is mostly about pure reaction time...by the time you get to mars you pretty much have a fraction of a second to turn once you hit the ocean. Get up to jupiter and you have a fraction of a fraction (which would still be just a fraction, but w/e). There's gotta be some trick I'm not understanding, because I can't imagine anyone being able to react fast enough by the time they got to any appreciable height...

The BOTD is actually really easy. All you have to do is get about 5 nice entry's in a row and then you can leap pretty far.

Also, when you restart when you have "collected" fish with you, they will count after you restart, this can be used for over a 20-tuple school bonus to start.

I can't access the main menu again once I start playing. I want to go try Free Swim but I can't without refreshing. Please add a menu option for this? Thanks

The mark of a good game? I got the Restaurant badge back in July of '09, and I regularly come back here trying to get back there. Got back today and was just as happy as I was when I first got there!

I feel I would enjoy this game more if a few tiny touches were changed, such as the angle for entering the water and keeping speed was a little less exact, and the water was a little deeper so that any time I end up splashing down after making it to at least the moon doesn't result in the Dolphin getting a seabed concussion.

I hate it when you have a great speed going, but lose ALL of it in one small mistake. In order to get any good score at all you need to be able to keep speed up for two minutes straight, and that is way to hard.
