Spacebar would be much better than E for dash. It's easier to hit while running and having your other hand on the mouse.

You have a mistake "an attempt to escape an endless cave" that isn't really possible because if he knew it's endless then why would he try to escape ? think pink !!

Just a couple suggestions...
1. Add some powerups, like health drops, etc.
2. Do something about dash, it's useless and only gets you killed.
3. Do something to counter the fact that jumping straight up often puts you in the direct path of a bullet you could not possibly have dodged.

It's a rough start, died about 8 times before I figured out if it was bad controls, bad jump/collision logic, or getting shot at from very hidden baddies.

scrolling should stay at a constant speed (not jump up because you got higher on the screen)... being penalized for staying ahead of the game is lame.

This game was so fun, but it just could be so much more. All this game needs for it to be a top ten game on kong is. 1. A story, doesn't matter what type of story. 2. Instead of buying upgrades buy equipment. 3. Instead of it being just endless have it be levels where the character has to get to a height, or get this amount of diamonds. Yet in the main menu have an endless button. 4. Boss battles after a set of levels.

@Purplekjw I guess 48 hours is 1-2 weeks or longer, assuming they work 6-8 hours a day (which is A LOT) and don't work on weekends.

Great game...if you hadn't mentioned the 48-hour constraint, I'd have never guessed it was made so quickly. I'm really looking forward to the additions mentioned int he Updates section.
Also, anyone else have a lot of trouble with the boss at 10,000 meters? I had the beam addon from the hidden room, but I can't figure out his time travel attack.

suggestion:for story mode I hope there are boss type monsters - increasing your damage in this version isn't great since most enemies die nearly right away anyways (rapid fire>damage)

Double jump with holding up to jump higher doesnt work for me, jumping max. height is very hard because you have to hold it, let it loose, and hold it again. A way to improve it is to set jumping to max height as standard and using down to stop jumping up (so down=letting go the up key) Sorry about double comment btw.

Love this game! I'll admit it does get tough towards the 700m mark, the last achievements i have to unlock are the distance ones, but maybe i just suck. People say "this game could be great with more development" but i disagree. This game is already great in its own right, and making a story mode is something for the sequel. It would be like putting a story mode on pacman, its just not necessary. I would have liked to see more variation in the terrain, especially more areas which favour one upgrade over another (maybe some straight hallways where high speed is needed, and maybe fill them with slimes so you need a good weapon too) so that you feel like each skill is equally valuable. Obviously i congratulate you on making this game in such a short amount of time, but i don't think that its such a good thing. I would rather play a game that the developer has polished 'till it shines.
