Okay, to farm weapons and levels, use the freeze bomb on the grinder (last level from second planet) at the beginning, get to the left side while it's frozen, and follow it through the level while carrying a weapon you want to upgrade. You need even not shooting.

This is essentially one of the best platform shooter games on Kongregate. Quite an improvement on Thing-Thing at least.

I was disapointed when I figured out that there was only 2 different types of armor, but I liked the fact that you made a harder and 2nd playthrough so we can also make a weapons stronger! (5/5)

This game is much too laggy. There should be a way to turn down the quality more so that other gamers can enjoy the experience instead of being stuck with a game that slows down every second a new enemy appears on the screen.

Very fun game, Though I'm already paradoxed, maxed almost all weapons except the black hole one (Lv. 8) at level 50. :p

Decent game, if entirely unoriginal. I was soured to it by the sheer level of greed needed to have so many "premium" items. I'm glad flash game developers are learning from good role models like EA when it comes to game marketing. Just charge for parts of the game that you would've included for free a decade ago; it's not like that is a total d-bag move or anything. The saddest thing is, I feel certain a multitude of fools actually paid for it. I loathe you, Arkuni, and the human pocket lint that supports this kind of gaming model.

just wondering a few things 1 what is the money you get for if ever frigging thing you can buy is with kreds. and 2 why do you have to make us buy all that stuff with kreds.

if you have a mochigames account you can have the M1 Garand (premium item) for free if you have logged in (not sure if kongregate allows it though)

pro tip guys: when completed campaighn keep going on a level with high money and play on it over and over then go on paradox mode because to upgrade eny of the weopons you have to have more that 10k the highest is 18k i think

i found a trick so ure guns can level up on the 3rd planet on the 1-3 level you get a gadget that freezes enemies go back to the 2nd world and on the giant grinder level freeze it run behind it and use ure weopons and try kill it and around when you thinks it about to die use the gun you wanna upgrade and fire at it if your guessing is good and its almost dead you should kill it with the gun instantly leveling it up and if your lucky you might level twice

for the mission 3.4 (that with random weaps) it would be so usefull being abble to dissable perks, because with the ones i taked, even if i stay ALL the game without shooting, the enemyes kill each other and my life doesn't fall less than 25% to achieve the challenge, and the last achievement of kongregate should be hard for time consuming, good game thought, always laugh on meaningless dialogs :D

Dam IT I play 1 level for like 2 hours now and not got the Challenge and all of my gun are level 10 and i am level 42

A truly brilliant game, one of the best flash shooters I've seen. The dialogue is hilarious. 5/5
If you were to make a sequel I would suggest adding in a slider for the volume. I want the sound on but at points it gets a little bit to loud so I have to pause the game etc etc.
Still, a truly brilliant game!
Versus Umbra is a spiritual sequel to The Final Death Wish which is a spiritual sequel to Madness Deathwish 2. The fun thing is: Madness Deathwish 2 is nothing like Madness Deathwish 1 and Versus Umbra 2 will be nothing like Versus Umbra 1.

A great game game - Nice graphics, fun gameplay with replay value, funny dialogue and item/weapon descriptions as well as a great assortment of different style weapons (and that is without trying any of the premium ones). Definitely 5/5
