As everyone is saying now, all 4 flags and weapon number 4 work miracles for the hard, I got 30k with no trouble at all by getting flag 4 first, then flag 3, then weapon 4, then flags 2 and 1, 4 being the best.

Know what sucks, dying as you kill the angry flame version of the last boss and ending at 99%. Then doing it twice in a row. All in all an awesome game though.

Haha, I love this game. I like how you incorporated that arcade style game-play in which you have one life and you try to get the highscore, but also allowed players to continue. I laughed at the final boss dying, because i was like "Hmm... That seemed easier than the second boss..." then I slowly creeped up to it to collect the diamonds/life and BOOM it exploded into a bunch of shots. overall, 5/5

Loved this game! Really addicting game! The way I did it was with the following method and some 'farming' to increase my starting money ($3615 max)! Maximize income, power and speed. Start game and then directly go to your Shop: Buy 4th Treasure upgrade. Buy Ship upgrade LVL 1 +2. Buy 3rd Treasure upgrade. Kill sharks till you can get 3rd Weapon upgrade and Ship upgrade LVL 3. Then save up for your 3rd Speed upgrade. Sell your 3rd Weapon upgrade and buy the 4th Weapon upgrade. Sell and upgrade your 3rd Speed for the 4th Speed upgrade. Save up money and sell your 3rd & 4th Treasure upgrade at the start of the "Final Boss"! Use it to buy the Fire Rate upgrade LVL 4 and the Pirate Flag LVL 4.
Final Boss Fight: Stay at the outer circles and move from bottom right to bottom left at the Final Boss fight. When Thunder comes, don't let him get close and keep moving. I needed 3 Anker’s to be sure. Hope this helps and looking forward to part 2 of this game ^^!!

Why is everyone freaking out about the sharks? They are obviously the red pirates ships, but disguised as sharks. See? I've figured it out.

Focus on getting all the flag upgrades first. On the second boss, sell the lowest flag upgrade and grab the +3 weapon so you can kill him easier. After that, upgrade the ship, exchange the +3 weapon for the +4 and get all the flag upgrades. From then on it's just a matter of avoiding the cannonballs. Much easier on a mouse, I was stuck with a score of 18,000 playing on the laptop, switched to a mouse and got 32,000 on my second try.

(Fight 2) 1st Mate: Captain, there a small ship that destroyed our ships in self defense, but we have a sub, so we can get him without him noticing us until it's too late. Captain: Where's the sport in that? We have to surface our submarine, put up our revolving bubble shields, and shoot at him like that. 1st Mate: But we can get him like this! Captain: You will be executed for mutiny if you don't follow my orders!

@maverickrenegade There is allready a mute button. Go to the pause menu and pull the music/sound slider back to left. This will mute the sound.

My tactic for the hard badge was quite an odd one, but it worked for me. Some people say that the final boss is impossible without a speed upgrade but I do not think so. In this, fourth is best, first is worst. I did fourth chest, upgrade ship, third chest, upgrade ship, fourth gun, upgrade ship, fourth flag, upgrade ship, third flag, upgrade ship, fire rate, upgrade ship, sell third chest, third flag. Hope it helps!

Excellent game! I really enjoy the gameplay and levelling.
I am having trouble getting the High Score badge to register though..
For upgrade strategy, I think people are over-valuing the flags. The flags are good when you have tons of money, but when I was first trying to beat the last boss, upgrading Loot as much as possible early was much more useful. That way, you'll have enough money to get the good offensive upgrades. Also, in the unlimited mode, I much prefer maxing out Speed over Firing Rate. The number of enemies will eventually be too many to out-shoot, so it's better to run away and dodge. My endgame strat is Lvl 4 Loot, Lvl 3 Flag,Lvl 1 Loot.
Once I can afford Lvl 4 Flag, sell Lvl 1 Loot, buy Lvl 4 Flag. Then Lvl4 Gun, Lvl 4 Speed.

its kinda hard to keep track on score and you are virually unbeatable after you beat the final boss so just use a rule of thumb. When you have around 25k and a maxxed ship you should be done with a 30k score.
