It's not bad but... I've finished, and there's no feeling of having done anything. No puzzles to work out, nothing to think about - just 'put cog onto board, put another cog onto board'. Maybe getting high scores needs that, but... you don't even need to think to complete it. It did take me back to playing with little wooden cog sets when I was a kid though, so an extra point for that.

2/5. The ides is interesting, but waaay too little creative thought went into making the puzzle components. I mean, come on: plates? All those do is hinder the puzzle by blocking the view and ultimately they only frustrate the user. Another thing: how come gears' teeth are allowed to pass through one another??? why can't you just make it FAR LESS FRUSTRATING (I seriously spent about 2 minutes attempting to get the large gears teeth to touch) and have a RADIUS for each GEAR instead of the frustrating "but this .gif has to touch another .gif to function" Come on. Even a single person testing this could have told you that. Or maybe the smallest bit of common sense.

It's great but add some different cogs that do other things. No matter what anybody says, no level is broken. I got every silver gear and ended with $8000

level 13 is broken, the 2 silver gears leading to the blue don't touch, nor does the blue and silver. (i.e. the 3 in a row don't at all.
level 6 is, in fact, scored better just going for the blue, since 50 cost of another wheel>25 bonus. this happens in a lot of stages.
good game otherwise, though its pretty easy overall, since aiming for silver lowers your score.

The idea is really nice, but the game lacks something that really makes it a puzzle. Maybe some more components could make it more interesting :)

The mechanism for selecting a custom level seems very awkward.
Also, is it at all possible to get scores which aren't multiples of 5?

seriously, you made it easier? what the hell were you thinking man?
don't go by the comments, most of the users of the site are fairly incompetent...
it's like a movie studio changing the ending of a movie based on test audiences.

"Gear connections are FAR easier now"
If they're easy now, I'd hate to see what they were like earlier! They're insanely hard on some levels!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I could actually play it now that the connections are easier. Unfortunately it made me realize just how easy a game this is, but it was still entertaining. 3/5

its much too hard to actually play. The gears are too jumpy. besides it is a little too easy... ok way too easy...
and if ppl say that its easier now im afraid to play the old version...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this was definatly unique. although when playing i ran into a few things that got kind of annoying: 1st-Most of the time i ended up buying gears and not using them because i sometimes couldnt figure out if they were the right size and that led to the second problem- I couldnt sell gears which i didnt need.
other then that, pretty interesting.
(sorry about all the lame posts below me that are so negative)

I thought this would be way cooler...I line gears up and have red dots where they touch like normal but the damn thing pops out anyway.1/5

+1 for detailed graphics. Otherwise boring. Gear detection is just weird. I can buy myself into debt (negative dollar amount) so why am I buying in the first place? 2/5
