I just had a "connection failed" so I came down to the comments here to see if anyone else is having that problem or if it's just me.
I have now spent the last 15 minutes reading the 12DogKnight vs. the rest of the world thread here and I have to admit, I haven't laughed so hard in quite awhile.
All I can really add is: how many people have to inform a certain someone that they're a flaming bag of dog biscuits before it starts to sink in and they reevaluate their social skills...

12DogKnight is getting stressy over the fact that some-one said that he wasn't a pro at chess. Not only that, but towards the end of his reply, it seems his insults, are somewhat flat and dull. My suggestion is stop playing chess.

Geradi, YOU'RE the one who was so concerned about my rating and comments. I couldn't care less if you're "impressed". You're a nobody so who cares what you think? I'm not a "Pro" either and I too make mistakes- not just in the opening but the middle and endgame as well. Heck I just lost to a bankrank mate with rook in a completely won game. No big deal. Humans make mistakes. So get over me, get a life, and find someone else to stalk you pathetic loser.

Yeah, I found this little chess game last Sunday, 2 months Kong doesn’t mean I have played everything. You couldn't tell me anything impressive either, been there done that would be the right answer I guess. An experienced player wouldn't bother to tell everyone how many wins he had. As I said, the players here aren’t Pros, you can see that most of them make mistakes in the beginning. So please, spare me your arrogance.

One more thing. The ratings online- in case you haven't figured it out yet - are often padded by losers who play themselves, or acheived through the use of programs such as Rybka, Shredder, or Fritz. This cannot be done over-the-board play at USCF events. My rating is 100% earned. You can continue being impressed by the loser cheats here online. You're probably one of them.

I am past president of the Riverside Chess Club (CA) which boast past members such as: GM Larry Christiansen, 3-time US Champion, IM David Strauss, former Califoirnia state champ, 15-yo Perry Youngworth, winner of the American Open ahead of several Grandmasters. We also had 9-time Toronto Champion John Patty as a member. I'm nowhere in their league. Don't claim to be. I'm just a rated expert, which is one class below master. So go ahead and spew your ignorance Geradi. It amuses me.

Geradi, you may not have "time" (I prefer the real term - "talent") for that but you've been a member here almost two months longer than I have and if you weren't so ignorant you'd know the rating start over from 1200 everytime you leave. The ratibgs posted are from the other chess game. I figured that out immediately. I've been a member barely over a month. And if you want to talk "ratings" I have a REAL rating - 2023 through the USCF In case you don't know and I'm sure you don't, that's United States Chess Federation)

@doggy 56-0 is not really that great, I don't have the time for that in the evening, but I could do it. Most players don't play very good. I never saw you getting a good rating, with 56-0 you should have a very high rating that should show in the alltime list.

@DogKnight: it might be politicly correct what you say however i doubt that people who haven't played much would actually understand you xD
besides if the player here are too easy, you might also consider search for a bigger challenge like going to a chess club or something. because most people here have very little chess experience.

and barrywise go ahead and look at the top scores. Also look to see how long the tope scorers have been members here at this site. Most of them have been members since 2008 (some 2009). I've been a member since Jan22, 2010 - barley a month. I was 56-0 the first day dummy so your 20-0 is laughable to me.

kibotu, a queen is worth NINE points - not 8. The three phases are the opening, middle game, and endgame.
The opening is for development of the pieces, center control (either by pawns OR pieces)
The middle game is where the strategy and tactics take over (or positional maneuvering aiming for a superior endgame)
The endgame is where there are minimal pieces left and usually consists of king and pawn endgames or king, rook, and pawn endgames.

Too many bot players. You can tell if they favour moving their queen out in the first possible moves, but not trying to capture the centre board.

3rd: there are 3 sorts of advantages:
- you exchange figures and win a whole figure compared to your opponent
- you and your opponent exchange figures and you gain any coins under the bottom line)
- you can position your figure in order to bond an opponent figure, like a knight can't move because if he did his king would be under check, so your opponent has that very knight technically less to his command)
4th: random guideline:
- avoid moving figures to the border at all time
- never ever move the same figure more than once in a row without a damn good reason (a reason would be winning a direct figure or at a least some coins)

well it might be easy to look the rules up, but it's hard to actually see the wood for the trees.
1st: assuming a pawn is worth 1 coin, then a bishop and the knight is worth 3 coins, the rook is worth 5 coins and the queen is worth 8 coins. keep that in mind when you trade figures.
2nd: there are 3 phases in the game and each has different objectives:
- opening part (here try to get the centre, try occupying as many fields as you can get, don't think about getting to the opponent king yet)
- middle part (the more fields you actually occupy the more opportunities will lie open to you: objective try use bonds in order to get a advantage)
- end part (try to get a pawn behind the lines of your opponent in order to get a new queen, use this to get any advantage you can get, keep the king at the side that would be able to run through your defence)

jarjojo408 the rules are simple look them up online but it takes a long time to really grasp the game and understand how to set up your first moves and make the best of each unit...and 12DogKnight the first day of playing this i went 20-0 so for you to play 56 games is no big deal i'm not sure if anyone really cares how good your doing we can just look at the highscores and see you at the top of it

56-0 so far this week in chess. 1-min games up to 10-min. I must be good. And BilltheFroggy claims to be "11th best in America 2004" lol when he was eight years old. Oh brother!

Hint: if you don't want your opponents to use the tactic of "not do anything until you resign" just play with a timer. ._.
