Interesting but basic on line chess interface. The piece movement gameplay needs some fixes to be more smooth but it's not a big problem.
It could be better but since we CAN play chess, i will give it a 3/5.

had a game vs deeppink where i checkmated it w/ a rook protected from a diagonal by my queen, and the enemy king captured the rook so i literally killed its king and it kept playing till i resigned. i think part of the problem was the rook would've been blocked had i not done an en passant capture beforehand.

Nice game, I only found one glitch when you try to move a piece and it doesn't move, but your turn is still used. And I'm wondring if you can pass in this game because none of my opponents used it.

had an even buggier game vs deeppink. first off i was white and did 1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nc6 3.e5 Nb4 4.c3 Bg4 5.f3, so right off the bat it just hands me a huge advantage, then the game continues i just do a bunch of filler moves building things up, then i complete my move and it doesn't move after 2 minutes, the i look and amazingly it's still my turn for some reason. so i kill its bishop w/ my knight, and it moves as if i never did this, then i take its rook, still it ignores the knight, then i attack a pawn, then the knight teleports on top of one of my own pawns on the other side of the board where i cant move it.

i was playing hal as black, first off hal does some extremely retarded openings sometimes and some pretty good openings other times.. i face its free pawn for nothing opening and i get to a part where i capture its rook w/ a pawn while queening, and it won't let me queen the pawn, so the game just freezes till im forced to resign.

how to demolish HAL3000 as white: play e4, d4, Nf3, Be3, castle, Qxe3, Ng5, Qb3, Re1, Qxb7, b3, Qxa7, Qb7, Qc6, Qa4, Qb4, Qc3, Nxf7, bxc4, Qxc4 and you're up 3 pawns in the first 20 moves. it does the same stupid moves every time. rybka is a million times better and is practically impossible to beat.

I was actually under the impression that I sucked... Until I brought a chessboard into school the last few weeks of school last year and decimated all but one friend. xD;

HAL3000 and DeepPink are bots, computerized AIs probably linked to an online chess archive. They move instantly every time (no human can do that) and they are textbook perfect on every move. If they're real people, ill jump off a cliff -.-.

To castle, you move the King into the position that you would when you castle (2nd in from the side). Remember, though, if that Rook OR your King has already moved, you can NOT castle.

Castling does work, though I didn't expect it to. Harder to play than real chess (Maybe simply due to nature of having the physical pieces), but a faithful recreation. 4/5

Ok now when your king is in check & the the enemy piece is next to the king you can't take it,why this? Please fix this.

Several months after and it is still the BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. One question still eludes me; why is no one ever in Fischer random?

nice chess client, did you update the computer?.. it seems to react differantly to my openings now, i had a fool proff opening that it fell for everytime but now only works occasionaly. looking forward to the flash server update when multiple people can play against the computer ^_^.. being able to log in with a chesshotel account from a 3rd party site would also be nice, co it would record the ratings :)
