yay i started in madagascar, so the hardest country is infected from the start...
day 67: finally a ship left the country. only 5k healthy people in madagascar while the rest of the world doesnt even know about the disease x)

Why do the boats just like, randomly float around? Madagascar wouldn't be half as hard if the boats actually had semi-intelligent senses of direction.

This game would easily be 5/5 if it weren't for the incredible amount of luck you need to get even close to finishing the game. It took me over an hour and a half of restarting to finally get a Madagascar start that lead to full infection, but once I did all frustration was gone and the game's greatness came back. Somehow exterminating the human race is fun :)

Some suggestions for this:
-Countries need to OPEN their borders again if your disease goes into hiding, or recession, or something. It needs to be something other than "Oh, a random event triggered, I lose." There needs to be a way to get around it. Whether it be through just lowering visibility, or having a dormancy option, or something. Alternatively, there needs to be a way to spread into countries with closed borders (why doesn't having airborne or waterborne transmission do that already?)
-Zero infectivity needs to result in your disease dying out. Zero visibility should guarantee that you will spread everywhere without having borders closed (as it should be impossible to get zero visibility, due to the above issue of your disease dying out). Clearly, some numbers need to be tweaked behind the scenes.

what I don't understand is...if your virus is 0 visibility , has no deaths no symptoms why dose the hospitals, transit etc are shutting down is like :
we have to close the country and vaccinate people because of nothing! we can't see the virus we don't know if it really is a virus out there but we still have to close the water plants and whaatever......

Relaxed mode is much harder than realistic. I did the impossible badge on realistic, but I always fail Ultimate Relaxation Badge, thanks to Peru. When I start from peru, than Madagascar misses..

"Relaxed"? I am not relaxed at all. There is a closed shipyard in Madagascar that stands in between me and relaxation.
