Good version of game. Agree with sgtdroopy's suggestions. Also, prefer boards to have single solution, these frequently have multiple correct configurations.

There also needs to be a way to see what islands are connected beyond simply trying to follow the bridges with your eye.

If there's no unique solution, how can you consistently apply any strategy? Whenever I get stuck, there's the nagging question of whether it's because I haven't searched deeply enough, or just because there are multiple actions that will work equally well. It kills the enjoyment for me.

great programming. This is the best version of this game that i know of. The only improvement i see would be to be able to see the islands (when there are are more than 5 island connected change the color for the corresponding bridges)

Quite fun, despite the times where more than one solution would work. Being able to play a practically unlimited number of games, even 32x32 (which would be a huge pain to verify manually) certainly makes it all worth it, in my opinion.

I'd like to see some puzzle sizes larger than 32x32. I'm now at a point where the biggest puzzle is not a challenge...

I wouldn't be surprised if people had killed themselves due to frustration from the 32x32 puzzles. It really does deserve the name insane.

Looking at the high scores, I cannot wrap my head around how any mortal human being could possibly complete the game at master level in 83 seconds, or even in 183. My hand, let alone my brain, simply doesn't move that fast.

@cbowen4
Yes, Hashi is supposed to only have one solution, but I would rather have unlimited Hashi in one place for free than having to buy loads of puzzle books or download individual puzzles from other sites. I give it a 5/5

I think zooming would be useful for the big puzzles.
I also think saving would be useful if you are going to try something you can't prove.

Ah, further playing revealed a problem with the code. I'm guessing each puzzle is randomly generated, but the problem arises when there are two valid solutions. Since the game seems to work backward from one solution, it only marks that one correctly. I'm not sure what could be done with that, but it is a major sticking point for puzzle fans.

Excellent game. One suggestion though: what about enlarging the playing area, specially for the toughest levels? it gets a little bit crowded. Tks

Add a timer pause that hides the puzzle. Save the game to flash storage every so often (perhaps after each move, if it's been longer than 30 seconds or 3 since the most recent save, save again?), so you can pick up where you left off if you accidentally close it (or browser crashes) mid-game. Also, the idea about highlighting island chains is interesting, but please make it optional. Some would feel it cheapens the game.

My life has a whole new set of pet peeves since becoming addicted to this game. For example, I'm racing along, doing great, maybe even heading for a new record score...and suddenly I'm sitting there staring at the screen, stumped. I call it hitting the wall of sh*t.

there doesn`t need to be a unique solution. The problems with the multi solutions only apply to small parts of the puzzle and if you spend enough time with the game it gets easier to recognize the situations in which they occur. I think the game is more challenging with the multi configurations

There is definitely a bug in the works: Many times I have solved the thing correctly and the clock keeps going, refusing to acknowledge that I solved it. If I ever make record time and it does that, I'm gonna be pissed.

Adobe is blocking the play of this game now, even with SWF Enabler installed. So long, and thanks for all the challenging game play.

In reply to krtake's Mar. 26, 2016 question:
Hashi Ex-Machina is "scored" in elapsed time, displayed as seconds.
It won't display your score in the list until you switch the display to look at a different puzzle size score list, then come back to the size that you just finished, and it takes up to five seconds to finally update the list, if the score function is even working at all. Sometimes a bug prevents best scores from being recorded.

All node green, activate the check function and game got stuck for some reason. Since you are able to detect that all node are green, it is not difficult to mark this solution as correct. I agree it is difficult to build a generator that provide a unique solution but at least allow success for any correct solve. I'm sorry but this is clearly a major drawback!

i think that muddisguise must be doing something odd, i mean how do you even click all of the links of trivial in 4 seconds?
