Had this beautiful web. Made it to level 10 after many tries. Bat comes in. Goes in through a corner. Repair the corner quickly. It's such a beautiful web, full of lines and super strong. Bat comes in straight at the center, "I've got him I think!" Smashes EVERYTHING except a little corner. I survived for a little while, then died...

I have a little different strategy(as you can see i hold the top score so you can trust me, it works)
Basically all you do is focus on the OUTSIDE of the entire circle always attaching your webs to the wood wall as much as possible and keep going over your web over and over and try to build the basis of your web with the golden web. this makes the web extremely strong and impossible(yes i mean impossible, if done correctly, to break.) The only reason i even lost was because i just gave up and died because i got bored lol. Msg me if you need any personal tips ;)

NOTE: Build only a 1/2 a web, this way, instead of having a big, weak web, you have a medium sized stalwart one, it really does work alot better then trying to cover the entire screen, and its also easier because you dont get as many bugs, so they dont rip through your web, ♥♥KEEP THIS COMMENT ALIVE MY +♥♥

No way...this game is SO frustrating !Even if we think have the best web, a damn BEE fly in an aweakened spot and destroy all the web !This is so exasperating !Otherwise, it's the best bug-game i have ever seen ! 5/5 !

Tip: create a small web in a corner, keep adding web to it until it doesn't let you place anymore, keep building it bigger and you should be good, never build in the middle after bees and other web destroing beasts enter or they willruin you, once one corner web is big enough start on another corner,

See fireflies tutorial. Assumes that keeping them alive is a good thing so does that, then 500 moths suddenly appear and destroy everything.... EVERYTHING!

A protip: (see my profile) Make a web consisting of as many lines as possible, the strength of the web is in numbers. A line of length 0.01 is still a line that can hold a bee, together with 6 neighboring lines.

It would be interesting if surviving longer meant that the spider now has energy to mate, thus having baby spiders to maintain the web with you so that the entire web doesn't just self destruct at higher levels. Good job though!

In real life, spiders struggle to survive. In this game however, spiders struggle to eat all of the insects they catch before their web breaks. XD

Bugs: Fly = basic bug. Ladybug = bonus health. Moth = bonus webbing. Bee = damages your health when eaten (not a big deal, just make sure you eat something else afterward). Dragonfly = temporary speed boost. Stag beetle = temporarily lets you build stronger golden webs (try to fill your webbing meter before eating this, to get maximum value from it). Firefly = summons moths (very dangerous; eat it immediately--unless you're absolutely desperate for webbing, in which case let it sit for a second or so and then eat it). Queen bee = summons bees, damages your health when eaten (even worse than a firefly, even more urgent to eat it immediately). Butterfly = takes a long time to eat (better hope you don't get a firefly or queen bee while you're eating it). Hummingbird = hovers for a moment before flying through, giving you time to reinforce your web in front of it. Bat = gets weaker over time as it breaks webs (maybe? it tends to be very bad news the first time it hits).

well that was a waste of time i get to the end and all tat happens is the bt breaks 3/4 of my web and than a queen bee breaks the rest and i starve

I was doing quite good and randomly my entire web just starts falling apart for some reason and I jsut sit in the corner waiting for my death

Kasic, you can catch birds in your web if you build it right.. and the ONLY way to lose an entire sector, is if the main structure lines from wood to wood break, so dont have a structure line that spans the entire distance

Oh these first 4 levels were a piece of cake. I've missed all of the stag beetles and bee's. What'chu got, game maker? Fireflies? HA! I can take these on! *2 seconds later all of web is filled with moths and breaks* ._.

wish there was a way to upgrade, a queen bee finds the one piece that isnt golden and then calls 50 bee but the web stays strong and then those damn moths..... i hate this game:)

Having a full on sandbox mode where you can spawn all creatures, switch between golden and regular webs, etc would be cool, instead of just bees

wow.... man there is nothing that can even harm this web i cant even see through it! 1 bee later.... HOLY FING SHIZ THIS ENTIRE THING CAME DOWN! and that is just one 1 bug of the many bugs of this game's bugs

Guide (thing): At the beginning of the game, go for coverage instead of concentration, so you can catch more food. As you progress, reinforce webbing. Stag Beetles, though really good for, well, reinforcing webs, can easily destroy areas that AREN'T reinforced. If you're looking for Stag Beetles, keep all places heavily webbed. Fireflies. They may sound really useful at first, but turn out to be very problematic. You can get a fair amount of webbing from flies, and the high amount of moths that fireflies attract can completely destroy your web within SECONDS. I would recommend eating all fireflies ASAP. (And that's as far as I got. Because of fireflies.)

Three bats attempted to destroy my outlines, and succeeded, before one finally fell into my grasp. A somewhat simple, somewhat complex, all around very thought-provoking game!

How to Bat: Build webs in corners. Work until you have a funnel around the outside. Bat just takes a little time. Stopped eating at stage 14, with about 60% of my outside web solid gold thread and tons of stuff trapped.

wow, was doing great until butterflies.... one butterfly, went stright ot the middle of my web, had it to where i could hold 3 stag beetles at once, nothing was where the butterfly flew into my web, entire web broke....
