PROTIP: To avoid getting completely and utterly annihilated, build a mini-web on the corner once 1/2 or 1/4 of your main web breaks. That way, you can still have a backup plan even if your main web gets bombarded by 9001 bees because of 5 queen bees. It will result in a small amount of foot being brought in, but it's better than dying.

My strategy is to leave a big hole in the middle of the web. This makes what's left fairly strong, avoids getting more bugs you can eat, and limits how much of your web can be destroyed at once. Granted, losing half your web still sucks, but you should easily be able to replace the other half before it's too late.

While that web is too loose, it does provide an ability to withstand a loss of a corner or two. This web http://static.diary.ru/userdir/1/8/4/7/184721/36630145.jpg however allows infinite survival, provided you repair it constantly and add more layers so that core structure remains intact.

My God. Solidgear3's web is godlike. I caught the second bat at full health when it hit a corner. Since the web has four foundations, it's almost impossible to lose your entire web, even when the bees and fireflies start to swarm.
On a different note, if anyone ever sees a spider trying to build a web like that, KILL IT. I don't care how much empathy this game gives you for a spiders life, KILL IT THEN AND THERE, OR IT WILL BE THE END OF US!

This is the best method i found to catch everything and avoid collision with unwanted things http://prntscr.com/19ocrn

I try to keep an alloer design, but eventually the breaks and repairs leave with with a horrible scribbly mess, and it seems like jsut a few strings need to break for the whoel thing to fall apart

Stag Beetle Takes out Half of net. "I Think i can still live."
Fire fly calls hoard of Moths. "Dear God."
But seriously, i didn't really die to stags, sure they made holes; but i was never fast enough to take out the Fire flys before they called moths to rip my whole web apart. I Think that needs to be toned down.

so first I'm thinking OK, there's a nocturnal lady bug. Then im thinking AAAhHHHH GIANT HOLE IN MY NET. then i died trying to eat a bee. NEVER EAT BEES ON LOW HEALTH OR IN LIFE IN GENERAL

According to the help, bats get weak sometimes, and that's when you can catch them. Otherwise they're just a drunken cruise missile demolishing through your web.

I never thought eating bugs could be so much fun, but it is! Yeah it is. It really is. In fact, I'm eating bugs at this moment. Mmmm... bugs. Whee!

its too easy to fall behind on everything. the whole game needs to be a bit slower so that you can plan routes and stuff.

You should have 4 independent webs, so that a loss of one due to a bat (or fireflies) won't starve you outright. Of course, have a couple of tasties in each for backup. And build them as dense as you can manage. Early on you can do with two loose webs, while there's no bat, but watch for fireflies and whack Space if one comes. If a queen bee comes (or two), get full HP then eat em asap, then recover again.

Catch a butterfly- ''well, there are no dangerous bugs around here, so i think i can eat it'' start to eat, and then i catch 3 quen bees, 2 fireflies and get rushed by 3 stag beatles.... and my web broke.

Had this beautiful web. Made it to level 10 after many tries. Bat comes in. Goes in through a corner. Repair the corner quickly. It's such a beautiful web, full of lines and super strong. Bat comes in straight at the center, "I've got him I think!" Smashes EVERYTHING except a little corner. I survived for a little while, then died...

A protip: (see my profile) Make a web consisting of as many lines as possible, the strength of the web is in numbers. A line of length 0.01 is still a line that can hold a bee, together with 6 neighboring lines.

Ok, You humming bird are sure an shitbag, waiting 'till 1 fireflie comes then crash where the fireflie got caught, together with a swarm of moths, destroying almost my entire web, then a queen bee crashes and i accidently turned off help, so i didnt know what it was, Them boom, only yellow crap on the screen, then where is my web? DESTROYED! .-.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I noticed, if you only have half a web (only one side) it's much easier. You don't need to fix your web every time, but you still get enough bugs
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you think the bees are annoying, wait till the goddamn humming birds start aiming for the most vulnerable parts of your web!

*Bee comes and tears up my web*
Me: Come on man that's my house!
Stag Beetle Approaches.
Stag Beetle: Eviction notice b*tch!
Rips My web to pieces. FML
Still though, good game.

builds a web on the entire left side of the screen, only queen bees hit. next three fireflies cause enough moths to destroy all of my web. hooray!

For those wanting the badge? Don't fill the screen with webs. When the web breaks, all adjacent parts of the web break, too. So make a "funnel web," with 4 smaller webs in each corner, and a huge hole in the middle. When one of the smaller webs breaks, it's a much simpler task to repair that corner, especially with the 'income' from the other webs. Also, it's nowhere near as hectic the whole way to the bat.

I beat it using a fabric pattern rather than classic web pattern. PROTIP: You can build a small web about a third of available space, so you can eat all the insects you catch.

This is one of the shortest and easiest hard badges I've seen, gotten in 10 min. Basically ignore your center web to start (Let it break if you've got health) and build up your corners. Make them basically solid. Whenever you see a Stag and a Dragonfly, eat both and build up your edges more. Stock a few moths, at least one dragonfly and/or stag before you eat them, and some ladybugs. Whenever a firefly or queen comes, cancel all else (yes, even golden web) and go eat it. Eat butterflies and birds ASAP, they hurt, try to get them after eating a dragonfly. NEVER expand, just keep reinforcing. Eventually a bat will hit your near-invincible web, and you can eat it. Try using a dragonfly to eat it and get rid of big bugs/summoners before starting.
