@VStriker: I know that feeling bro :D there is just less equipment than in other games and it is harder to get. but im used to it (already playing on another platform)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Servants that intercept damage should also die from it eventually. It's useless in normal PvE but PvB goes on long enough that it would matter.
(Also, what sort of pants-on-head retarded design process was used to limit combat to 5 rounds or less...)

@LordTyphus: the coffin is just an example, when I level up for instance, the first thing I do is look at the merchant if there are new itens available, and every time I'm disapointed
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well the coffins and boots arent the big problem. the mounts are! its realy difficoult to get one, even in higher levels. the only one you can get in an normal amount of time is the battle charger, which is bad if you dont do much pvp cause you dont need his buffs. the other ones are too hard to get.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@LordTyphus: ok, thx on the info. But I still don't like it. There could be some low level coffins, mounts, etc. because I don't want to have a hole as coffin until higher levels
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Vstriker: boots are quite rare. Most of the boots in the game are dropped by CovenBosses (the droprates there are very low, though). sere are only a few boots at some merchants at higher levels.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
way to go dude, i've reached level 10 and still can't see any available boots in any shop. Stop being lazy and make more itens
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Shadogun: There are already mouse over descriptions for the buffs and curses. I dont see your problem. example: berserk - mouse over description: chance to deal extra physical damage. If the mouse over description isnt enough for you, there is also a wiki. just go on the ?-icon and then click on wiki.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The pve/pvb talents are meant to be slowly build up midgame...the pvp talents are fairly easy to obtain. The buffs and debuffs can be checked by mousing over the small icons next to them, or checking the wiki

Well. I have mixed feelings about this game. On one hand it's not that bad. On the other it's mechanics is down right shit. Definitely revamp the "tutorial" or beginner area and provide a limited week boost to us newbies so we can rank up with out having to devote to this game. You're talent tree thing needs to be changed for per level up, because I'm not going to attempt to find 100 damn Skeletons. Most importantly of all, Have some sort of guide in the game or mouse-over descriptions. I need to know what the buffs/debuffs do, Just having a few thousand battles doesn't teach me what Curse does to me or the enemy. Take this in consideration, and you have a much better game. I'll give it a 4 for now, because you have massive potential to work with.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
On second thought, it is good for PVP as if you find little victim to hunt that boost double victory points, just change into the avatar with the most victim!!!!!!!!!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@gnostic85: actually, the newly introduced avatars improve the PvP situation a little bit. One can get these avatars via donation only. When you start a new game, you have the same choice as before. The new avatars, wich you have to donate for, are special, though. You can buy the donation avatars you want and change your avatar to one of them (or to your normal one) every 48 hours. So, if you are annoyed by the new avatar-war enemys on monday, you can simply change to an donation avatar youve bought where the enemys are more common.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This new avatar business is bad, there are not enough PVP target to begin with, to entice the new players to new avatar may result fewer targets in higher level

I play on Armor Games and CoB Stand alone and none of this screen bs occurs there - it is these stupid ads at the bottom of each screen (not page) that screws these up. Kong needs to figure it out, the others did. I can't even see the merchants offers past the lifestealer, real useful.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
oh, great now your window is smaller, but i cannot fight a boss anymore due to the fact that i cannot reacht the "attack" button anymore - honestly....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
thanks for your kind answer, pktime. I correct myself and sugest that not only on the icon, but also on the name should the description appear.

I would say this game is actually pretty amusing just watching. However, I think this game would benefit from a bigger bloodlust bar, because it's frustrating to know that someone who decides to click hunt-speedattack over and over in the middle of the night will get about 30% more exp/stuff. Also, I think a faster grind-fight would be nice, because it's also irritating that I spend more time waiting for the battles to load than clicking speed attack and hunt. It would also be nice if you could make more choices more rapidly, because right now I basically make a decision once every couple days or so when I actually choose what to buy.

ELdesi, going into those places "thaumaturge, jewellers, buffs" will make it pretty much obvious what those places are for. Secondly, items like grip of darkness with procs (shadowcurse 1) can be checked by mousing over the small icon next to the "shadowcurse 1" text. The same goes for vampiric powers. Agree about tutorial though.
With regards to PvP, its not as big a deal as you think - granted, you wont beat donors; but the vast majority of the low lvlled players are not donators yet; furthermore its not as if there are PvP tournaments or something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
6.- Don't make such a big difference between paid and non paid players from the very start. That only made me avoid PvP.
7.- Improve the tutorial A LOT. I know that there is a text help to look at, but you should cover during the game the ropes and not only "click hunt, level up and that's all".
8.- Now I'm level 7 and there is a lot of tags I still don't know how they work (i.e. jeweler, thaumaturge, buffs). If those are options for players w/ more lvl, you should keep them out till they are useful. And if I can use them from lvl 1, please guide me to use them well.
9.- If you sell this as a horror rpg, please put the horror in! Or say this is a vampire fight rpg to avoid disapointments.
All this (and other things) makes the game to lack flow, which translates in loosing of interest from players... and the worst part is that Kong gave you a badge, which is a bad point for both of you: you don't have what other games with badges have and Kong looses appeal duing this.

This game needs a lot of work to make it worth it.
Here are some things we, players, would apreciate:
1.- Although there is in general a graphics size problem, shops graphics are specially innecesary huge.
2.- If you are going to have skills, it would be great to know what they exactly do. The same goes to scrolls. We, players, don't want to go chasing data to know if it's good to use a scroll.
3.- Simplify the menues improving the interface. It's quite annoying to start looking all the inventory tags to know what did I exactly won.
4.- Speaking of items, they have the same problem with skills. I won a "grip of darkness" that gives me "shadowcurse 1", and I still don't get what does that mean.
5.- If you are going to have weapons proficiencies, you should give more variety of weapons to buy/ win. If I need to kill 3k creatures to go up 1 lvl, it should be great that I can have the same type of weapon if I lvl up.

I measured the height of the game screen, and unless I misplaced my measurement markers, it's 905 pixels tall.
The top bar in Google Chrome (no bookmarks, just address bar and tabs) is 61 pixels tall.
The process bar in Windows 7 (with small icons) is 30 pixels tall.
All in all, playing this game in a standard browser using the absolute minimum of vertical screen space requires (905+61+30) 996 pixels. That means it barely fits on a modern 1080p display.
Do you really need that much space? No, no you do not.

I happen to like this sort of game, the kind that has some depth and several different mechanics in place, and makes you try and resarch. I guess to each it's own.

the most thing i see is people whining over a little competition, since when has it been a bad thing that a game is hard, if you dont like it dont play it jesus!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@r2d2go. I agree with you that you need to play at least once every 3-4 hours for max growth; but even playing twice a day (in the morning and after coming back from work) is enough to make significant progress; besides, you can proceed at your own pace. Agree with you about how powerful donation items early game are; but remember that all of them are designed with the late game in mind which means that they have to be godlike early game. In terms of power, most of the best stuff is from playing the game itself, not donating (with the possible exception of servants, some accessories, and mount - although there are mounts for pvb that are far stronger than anything from donating)

This needs to be an online RPG with multiple class choices (Diablo series, Elderscrolls), limited but significant storylines that unlock gear and skills, but mostly PvP play, preferably using the Elderscrolls engine. The time for text based games is long past, bring on the persistent online 3D worlds!

It's also moderately depressing that people appear to upvote mostly already stated things that have momentum without much thought to either those or other comments.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@PK and Fabio: This game seems to be more like something that would be idle. You have about as much influence as an idle game. I've played for awhile and it's SHOULD pretty boring, but it sucks you in and is fun because you can watch your grow. However, to reach maximum growth you need to come back every 4 and a bit hours - WAY to often. Also, it's incredibly easy to pay to win. A low-level who puts 100 bucks into this (and I've seen plenty of people paying 30 bucks a month or more into games) has a frightening advantage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Hamuka: "after a few attacks you need to pay money to play this game." Seriously? I've been playing this game for about a month now, and haven't payed anything, you DON'T have to pay to enjoy this game... you just need to like this kind of game, just 'cause it's not your style of game, doesn't mean you should just bash it. Many people like games like these, and many people like this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When a game is twice as tall as my 1680x1050 monitor, something's really wrong. Oh, and the game is pretty bad, since there are few options in combat, and after a few attacks you need to pay money to play this game. Paying is simply not worth it, after a few minutes you run out of diamonds and pay again. If you can stand this game enough to play for a longer time, and even pay for diamonds, you can waste 30 bucks in an hour (!!!). That's enough for a K+ subscription that'll last FOR A YEAR!
Overall, my opinion is that instead of blood, this game sucks a huge amount of money out of you, even without giving an acceptable game for it. Therefore, I give this a 1/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It is meant to be slow going at the start. As you progress, your hunting becomes more efficient, and your gear accumulates giving you setup selection headaches (just because an item is lvl 50 doesnt mean its definitely inferior to a lvl 100 equip). Back to energy, a non donor can achieve 6 BL per hunt (or pvb/pvp combat) and 3 bloodlust regen every 2 mins (or 1 min 45 if he takes the pve talent for regen), giving him 1 action every 4 mins (or 3 min 30s with talent). Don't think thats very slow...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Welcome to this game, we wont tell you what skills do or when to use them. Hell, we even dont have a decent tutorial. We just want you to GRAB YOUR WALLET and fork out the cash.....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Gansebom: You have a somewhat valid point, but I completely disagree. The problem is not slow energy, the problem is this is practically idle. You sit and wait, then click hunt-speed-hunt-speed until you're out. I would prefer even 5 min per 3 bloodlust - if it actually DID something. but all you get is watching your guy grow, no thought, hardly any choice. It's, as i've said, pretty much an idle game and should either work towards that or have more tactical battle. Also, the energy regen is fairly decent: other games have you wait anywhere from 10 min to an hour and a half for a battle (but you get a huge energy stores later so you can play 1/day) to like 30 sec to click something, once, to 8 min ot do anything. Really it doesn't matter to me, as long as you have at least a 12 hours between maxed energy and decent gameplay. No energy is actually worse most of the time because then the devs must force grinding to make money.

2 min 30 seconds for 1/4 the ability to do anything? TOO SLOW! 10 minutes per action is ridiculous. other games have it to 1 min 30 per action and i got bored with them because they were rather slow too. If they change the reset to 30 seconds for 3 bloodlust then it would improve overall gameplay tenfold. What is with this trend of unnecessary delay? Sorry but I actually like to play the game instead of waiting forever. If i was able to play it more I might actually donate. TAKE UNDER ADVISEMENT.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
bloodlust cap 300 every "hunt" use 12 and every 3 minutes 3 bloodlust is refilled ¿what does that mean? that means that every 5 HOURS you can hunt 25 times and your bloodlust will be refilled 100% in other.... 5 hours :c so bad other game that try to slave us
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think if they marketed it as a more passive game (as the wiki puts it), they'd get better reception. It's pretty decent if you say it was SUPPOSED to be hunt-speed-hunt-speed.... and you're mostly watching your character grow. If so, they could market the interaction as new and moderately interesting. But they didn't. So the game for what it was meant to be according to what it is stated to be is a festering pile of dog shit. A little sad, really.
