(to all the ppl screaming "Ripoff") lol u guys realize this is the same people who make Achilles right? its not stealing if they use their own stuff

I like this a lot more than achillies. I don't know if its the ability to hire henchmen, buy armor items moves and lives, or if it's just naturally pretty.

good solid improvment on the achiles gameplay mechanics, can't wait to see what you do with the next game you do in the orignal warlords style.

Could do without the auto-look at enemies. It makes it to where you're screwed if you're surrounded. basically an upgraded Achilles.2/5

WTF?!
i thought this was like a better
version of warlords: call to arms!
BUT WTF is this?!
exact same crap as achilles!

it's buggy as many people said.
also, in the menus wasd controls should be active. the controls require two hands on keyboard.

Blech. Very pretty, and completely not fun. Beat-em-ups are a classic genre, but there has to be a chance to, you know, SUCCEED. Go back to pseudo-tactical game design - you do that better most around here.

It's Achilles with all of Achilles' flaws. More than 1 enemy will occasionally stunlock you with chain kicks, sometimes you'll kill an enemy in 2 hits, sometimes it takes 15, and worst of all enemies can hit you when you're standing on top of them, but you can't hit them. The lives and the upgrades were a neat idea, but first fix some of the problems that made Achilles suck

i really liked the game till i came to one lvl and got stun locked by 3 swordsman and 2 mounted spearmen took out my whole party

i love it. its a mix between warlords and achilles, with a lot of sweetness thrown in. 4/5
cant wait for it to have achievements
*hint hint*

Levels on any difficulty other than 'easy' are an exercise in patience and frustration. Since so many enemies flood you at once it's like a whole 'one step forward, two steps back' kind of thing, especially when many come from behind and you start to LOSE ground. Enemies clump up and make it extremely tough to attack them since hitting one opens you to attacks from another. It's essentially a war of attrition - one you will eventually lose. Hirelings are necessary to moving on, but at the same time they drag you down since they hang around and fire at every single enemy. Overall, this is a good idea for a game but really needs some tweaking. (3/5)
