Hmm... When I use flood it seems to... not work. I will have a small portion of my empire up at 2 squares high, and the rest of the world is at 1 square. Then I cast flood, the water raises to above my 2 square level, and random islands appear all over, kinda like the world reset everywhere but by me. Is this just the amazing fastness of the computer player? I used to be able to use flood and reduce the computer to tiny islands that it creates while keeping my entire civilization... I'm just confused and disappointed.

Crappy rip-off of the old Populous game. A little too fast to be interesting for my tastes. No strategy involved, just who can click the fastest. Lame.

When I want the land to go up it goes down, when i want the land to go down it goes up. Also, the game screen is waaaay too small to do anything, it needs a full screen mode

(1) I encountered some kind of bug where completing a level on Easy pushed me into the Normal campaign. I wasn't able to back up to Easy to complete all of the levels to get all of the achievements. I'm trying to reproduce this bug now, but it involved starting over from scratch, so it'll take time. (2) The "Flat Land" achievement is too strict. At the end of the game, the World Map was so covered with dots that I couldn't figure out where the bumps or holes were in the terrain. I suggest relaxing this to "Flatten 90% of the world".

What an awesome game. Populus was the first game i ever played on super nintendo when it came out. You have ectaully made the land section part of the game (raising/Lowering) even better controlled then the original. YOu have done a great job, 5/5. I do ask for a mini map though. Game needs badges! thumbs up!

Good game, I like it. Just ran into a bug though, called Armageddon and now my hero and his hero are just standing on each other walking back and forth, gonna have to quit. :( Still, it's fun so far. 5/5

1. the skill icons look all the same.. some colorless jibberish. looking at the picture doesnt tell me anything about it unless i put my face right in front of the screen for a moment.
2. you never know if he raises or lowers the territory when using left click.
3. of course an experienced populous players always raises territory to level 3, reduces it back to level 0 (water) and then fills the whole to get a nice 6x6 flat ground. doing this with the mouse wheel is extreme painful. this was better in the eightys with real popolus.
3. the figures are all sprinters. they don't walk they ruuuun.
4. With 1 mana you can change any territory.. no matter how many earth you actually move.
but when you have more than 1 mana stored up .. its costs much more! that doesn't make any sense. a big mountain costs 10x 1 mana when i'm almost broke, but 1000 mana when i have a lot of mana?

3/5, it's an awesome and fun game, I love it. But there are two issues that bug me enough to take points off:
Lag, -1
The way 'leveling' the land works, sometimes the things it does when I click are just ridiculous and make no sense, -1

It is just a horrible game. It's a fun concept at first but it's like Civilisation wars if you've ever played it, it's all about clicking and only clicking, the strategy is very obvious. To win this game you got to be fast and that's not what some people are about, i like a game where i have to think to win, not have the fastest mouse.

realy good game! but it could have some adjustments like we are able to make maps and have a speed up option and mabey a minimap. other then that i rate it a five star!

For some reason after clicking the follow battle icon the game kept scrolling mindlessly around the field and I couldn't get it to stop.

I am unable to lower ground without clicking on corners of ground and for no reason all of my game history was erased. Love the game though and I would happily replay all of the games :)

what the hell? i use armaggeddon when they have about 11 people and i have 180. my people start rapidly dying for NO REASON and i win with 1 person left. WTF?! also no level is different from another. you (probably, cause i didn't play past the second level) do the same thing for 25 levels. 2/5

Good game. However it gets annoying when the sea level is raised and the AI is able to raise a quarter of the map almost instantly, while you can hartly save one or two of your drowning villagers. This means defeat if your main army is a converted leader who cant build houses and is soon overwhelmed by the AI.

@petesahooligan This game isn't probably flash because the characters are in 3D. Probably blender game engine. Hurray for 3D! ^_^
