So I played the game some hundred times, and the bug that I found is that when a zombie detonates a mine, the number that appears on that square sometimes includes the detonated mine, sometimes not. There was a 1 in the detonated square, and I tumbled on a mine diagonal from that. Another time with the number being 3 or 4 it counted the detonated mine. And it would be really helpful for my all-clear run in puzzle mode, if the detonated mines's flags were not so well hidden with they being a faded red compared to my flags. Half the time I don't notice them and *boom*, blowing myself to smitherins.

Don't you just hate it when you see that really pretty flower you want 60 some meters away, across a minefield, during the zombie apocolypse? Oh well, better get that flower.

a little hint to cope the mass of zombies:
if u got the brain, you can put it on a mine to lure the zombies to it. just before they step on the mine, right-click the brain again so you get it back to your "inventory". with the right timing, the zombies explode and the brain is unused :)
rate this hint if u like it

First off, let me just say this game is incredible. I've liked minesweeper since I was a kid, and I've always loved zombies. Putting them together is one the best ideas anyone's had. The 'only' problem I have with this game is when a zombie steps on a mine that has already been flagged. There seems to be inconsistency when it comes to whether or not the number on that exploded square 'counts' that square itself in the number or not. I've been pretty deep into a hefty field of mines, only to be screwed over by not knowing whether or not the number in the exploded mine counts itself or not. Please, explain in the instructions if it counts or not, because I've seen instances where it has and hasn't. It's a small blemish on an amazing game, and it's bugged me since I started playing.

Puzzle mode is way too hard. You should at least be able to bait the zombies into the mines better, but they dodge them all when they are chasing you. And then, if you do blow one up, another just pops up.

@GunWraith: you misplaced the flag to the right of the 4, there were no mine there. The mine was on the 4 indeed. BOOOM!

Puzzle mode: 1. Zombies only respawn when one is killed (type is random), so don't kill unless you have to. You'll end up with mainly snails, mushrooms, and blind wolves/bears which you can usually dodge. (They might run into a mine on their own though.) -- 2. If you want to kill a zombie, try dodging till it runs into a mine. It conserves ammo and possibly opens up escape routes for later dodging. -- 3. Take your time, reveal the whole field, mark all the mines. That's what gives the main points in puzzle mode, and it allows you to safely backtrack and dodge when some chasing wolf/bear appears. -- 4. The first two areas are too small for the hard badge. The third area might work but only if you can kill 30-40 zombies for the remaining points (difficult because very narrow and few pick-ups). The fourth area is huge (over 1000 points for whole reveal) and also wide (makes dodging feasible), it only takes a little practice to get the badge there.

Gripes: would prefer the option of Keyboard arrow controls. The numbers should change when a mine explodes. Monsters should stop spawning after a set amount from a single hole, or there should be an item that stops a hole from spawning more (i.e. the gravestone eater from PvZ)

Tips for getting this game's badges. The easy badge is easy. Any level except for possibly the first level in each column will have at least 3 bullets in the stage, which will give you the 3 kills. The medium badge is even easier. Just use the trick SkyLe posted, and plant 20 flags anywhere. For the hard badge, you don't need to complete the level. As soon as you get 500 points, you'll be awarded it in the middle of a level. To REACH 500 points, make sure to explore everywhere. Even the dark squares you can't step on, if you get near to them so they would normally be revealed if you could step on them then they will give you points. You also get points for placing flags, and killing enemies, except for the mushroom enemies. Note that the first 2 levels in each column are definitely too short to get 500 points, and you'll only get 500 points in the 3rd levels if you are lucky. The 4th levels will easily give you 500 points though, as long as you don't die.

Why is it so hard to lure monsters into the mines? Do they know what the flags mean? Should I stop placing flags and let the monsters sweep the mines for me?

Surely it doesn't count as a "puzzle" if you're having to run from zombies instead of carefully planning out your moves...

Nooo! 97% on the last level. Those wolves are the most annoying enemy ever. Couple of suggestions: a way to take back accidentally planted bombs, and optional hotkeys for bombs and finders - I've clicked them by mistake while trying to click on a square. Great game though, but too addictive

Seriously excellent production! The music/mood of the whole things is great. I find minesweeper terribly boring but the tension you added with ambiance and monsters is just perfect. My only suggestion would be for the mine-detector to not be quite so OP. Revealing all the tiles on screen seems to be a bit too easy of an escape. Otherwise brilliant.

Shame that a game with potential is ruined by horrible balancing issues. There should be a cap on zombies alive at any time as it is easy to get so many on screen at once that there is no possible way to survive. The failure to provide a fraction of the number of tools needed on the larger levels makes no win situations common. Wolves are seriously overpowered. In fact simply allowing people to play the game without wolves would improve the rating by at least one star. As it is the game is interesting but broken 2/5

nice variation on a classic. but am i the only one, who never gets his badges for unity games awarded? this is probably the third game that doesnt want to give me any badges.

Playing on a Mac, ctrl click only works as a right click sometimes (approx 60% of the time - this occurs on most other unity games too). The other times it's treated as a left click. Of course when this happens the heroine walks to the spot you clicked on, which you KNOW is a mine, and promptly decorates the forrest with her innards. An option to use spacebar for eg to plant flags would be appreciated. I really like this game, I just can't play it :(

What I did for hard:
Grab ammo
Search any extra squares if I could
Flag so I know where I'm going
Run like hell on run like hell
If I still didn't get 500, go back and kill more zombies/explore more square, you're rewarded the badge even if you don't get the flower

I want this music... it's so great. I just wish there was a "peaceful mode" or maybe a easy mode in puzzle where I can enjoy it a little more.

For the hard badge, try puzzle play "sweep this!". It's usually quite wide open. Take your time and dont waste bullets/bombs. The wolf eventually commits suicide if u keep evading him. Just stay calm and walk known paths where u can escape in more than one way so that u dont get trapped. Another thing, walk the edges for bonus points. Use items only when absolutely neccesary. Also, stall enemies like wolf getting near so he tries to bite and inmediately go away, u wont lose life and u'll buy some time to think ur next move. Doing this and marking all the mines, u'll get to 500 points before even reaching half way in this one with no sweat.

I'd like an alternative to right click / ctrl click for flag placement. I'm on a mac (I know, it's a terrible twist of fate) and I'm disappointed that I cannot play this - what seems to be - well made twist on a game I used to love. My suggestion would be the 'F' key acting as a ctrl click on a square, but I'd really love to see any fix to this problem for potentially almost all mac users without an external mouse. (It does look awesome though!)

An interesting way to add score easily: Go by the edges of the paths. The scenery for some reason gives you extra points. 5/5 + favourite easily, because the game actually made me get interested about Minesweeper!

Basically you're just running around, trying to dodge the werewolves until they blow themselves up. For that, -1.
Anyone going for the hard badge I recommend playing "Storm Before the Calm"with the narrower road. You have to go back to the menu and select it again, just "Again" won't do the trick. Just clearing the level will (almost) get you there. With the help of some upgrades and some mines you'll get your 500 points soon enough. Be sure to explore the edges, for there are a lot of points to collect near the trees just off the road.
Good luck!

I don't comment very often, but this is one of the better games I've played using the Unity platform. Game-play is smooth but the perspective does make moving the character on the map a little tricky at times. All and all, it's a fun take on the zombie genre app based game.

from what I have deduced: Scoring: you get 1 point for every number space revealed where the correct number of mines are flagged AND all 8 spaces are either revealed or flagged. You also score for every flag which is part of a completed number space.
Rabbits blow up if they jump OVER a mine- use this to clear them &/or kill other nearby critters.
Bears tend to blow themselves up if you stay away from them.
Don't advance too far if you have a bunch of critters out- if you are swarmed there's not much you can do.

For a hardest "Speed Play" mode "Run Like Heck" is surprisingly easy -- you get so many shotgun shells and so little traps (mostly in a 1\2 mine patterns) that "What's With The Bunnies?" actually proved to be a bigger challenge for me. But it's still incredibly fun to just run through that level at the highest speed you can muster!

I keep marking mines and the stupid girl walks over them and explodes anyway. I'm sorry, I love the style and the music, but that's got to be fixed.

If I was a little more precise with my clicks I figured out you can alternate 2 squares and run forward without activating any of the tiles you step on. XD I got half way through the last map before I messed up and landed on a mine

"If it's a 1 on a corner, it's a mine! If it's a 3 against a wall, they're all mines!"
"What if it's an 8?"
"Then God help us all..."

Whenever an animal steps on one of the mines and a number pops up under the mine that he just stepped on, don't listen to it, for some reason that number is lying, I just died because of that exact reason, kind of a piss off because i had 482 points -.-

Good idea not so well developed. Mine counter isn't based on real mines so on puzzle levels you just have to place random flags to make an high score. On first puzzle level if you play correctly you just get 2 stars. Awful. -_-

Easy way to get hard badge: speed run lvl 4. Don' worry about the time, do a full clear. If you don't have enough points, keep running around untill the critters run on mines.
