What sort of a general is in charge? the choices are, send a single ship through enemy resistance all the way around, or send a land force in a territory that doesn't seem to be occupied. We need a new general.

Wow great game challenging but not to the point of not having fun anymore.
First play through I followed HAVESTSUNS advice I died a bunch on boss cause I just sucked haha but I played through again mixing his advice with FIRANVE's advice the extra bonus from accuracy adds up quite a bit looking at my 2 saves the difference is 346,000 gold vs 388,000.

What really makes it worthwhile is seeing those little cannon dots destroy everything. I found that really satisfying.

If you get the ship hull upgrade to max on the admiral difficulty, your ship becomes such a HUGE target, and your accuracy becomes dog shit. It's awesome.

First 2 levels: Sit in front of their spawn. 3rd to 9th levels: shoot 1 cannonball (and it) then sit in front of their spawn. 10th to 12th levels: Dodge and shoot.

I don't about harvest sun's comment but I maxed out shipcrew, reload, weapons damage, speed and turn speed and let me tell u final lvl 12 IS NOT A BREEEZE. I think maybe at year 2010 it was easier? could the developer have adjusted the game?

OOPS!! I just checked one of my saved games and it says NEXT LEVEL: 6 GOLD: 85168......so if you can't win with that much loot, play Birdy Flap

all you need to do is to bulk up on Crew and Reload after the first couple levels. Add a Speed upgrade or 2 so you don't get killed that way. By Level 5 my loot is over 10k each level passed....so now damage, more cannons, shot speed, etc makes it real easy to crush every ship. Over 48 cannons that load in less than 10 seconds?? Yeah, my hot metal balls reign!

Useful trick for if the ships are getting to far down the screen in the last couple levels: They won't fire up screen, bu they will try to follow you upscreen if you go above them. You can lure the ships upscreen to buy some space and then go below them again and keep on fighting.

That moment when you defeated the Fallen Angel and sunk it and then you lose against the last ship with 2 of their men still alive >.<

You know...now I really dislike the game...when you "usually" kill a master boss in a game everything else follows and just dies...but no..I gotta go through the whole unfair level finally take down the boss but have to take out just one measly ship...of course I was already low on men and did not stand a chance...pretty cheap if you ask me.

Things to remember when doing close-quarters (Pirate) battle: 1, you're men are a LOT stronger than the other ships men (you can kill over 6 pirates with 1 pirate basically). 2, you have a lot more casualties if you're combating multiple ships rather than just one (try to drive away if another ship tries to help fight you). 3, doing pirate battle makes all the gold on the enemy ship stay safe, so you get more cash than shooting it from a distance and break it, losing quite a bit of cash during it.

Another helpful tip - if you keep your ship at the top of the map, the entering enemy ships will always do a 90 degree turn away, then turn 180 degrees straight back at you - this prevents them from being able to launch a broadside of cannonballs at you, and is VERY handy. + to keep on top!
