I have just played this on NewGrounds and I have to say thank you for uploading this on Kongregate. Bullet Hell games seem to be getting popular on Kongregate and it should.
It is a fun genre that provides a different challenge than games like Super Meat Boy.
Not to mention you have enough upgrades to keep people playing at least 3-4 more times.
A Bullet Hell game isn't a Bullet Hell game until you add great music too and you supplied that.
Overal 5/5 and hope to see more of these on Kongregate.

Fun game, but upgrading could be better. I would rather pick my own upgrade and have the next level "adapt" rather then pre-made choices. Also, can you really call this a bullet hell, it was pretty easy in my opinion.

When you get to that boss (3rd to last) that shoots a streak-spread of three bullets, graze the shit out of it. I got up to 33 extra lives that way.
Also, shield is VERY IMPORTANT. Without it, grazing will be much less effective.

Wow that level with the crazy laser beam which I grazed for so long gave my 6 lives. (the level where the 2 paths patch back together)

first of all, the graze bar fills up WAY to slowly, as i most of the time you die before it fills up. second, the mutations are kind of random, and the there is no explanation on how to fill up the bars. also, its way to much of a gamble when choosing which path to take, as the upper path increases your weapon, making the game far to easy. also, when you click new game, the ship is in a fixed line at the bottom, making the game way to difficult. just some things to fix if you want your game to win the contest. please + this so the developer can see.

This is the first shooter game I've seen that forces you to risk your lives to rank up. Great feature and great game! 5/5

Awesome game, wish it was longer and had a hardcore mode: No wave lines, bosses have way more hp (maybe a boss hp bar) and way more bullets. Great game 5/5

FIX THIS PLEASE: I accidently cliked new game instead of a retry and had and now i have to start over. I would like a confirmation before we start a new game to prevent this from happening ^_^

ok, don't play this game when you're drunk! Otherwise excellent game. Love it when new ideas pop up in a genre you thought everything was already done!

Nice. I like this upgrade system better than the ones that inevitably end up involving a lot of grinding of ingame currency.

Just to let you know, Shooter =/= Frantic. I'm tired of seeing comments "looks like frantic" "ripoff of frantic" on every shooter game I play.

A fun shooter with an upgrade tree and good graphics. 5/5 and yet the overall rating is 3.75 why?
I hope this game gets badges sometime as its defintley worth of it ^_^

If bullets only hit one small of area, why do ships and walls kill you when they touch your ship (but are nowhere near the red dot)??

I like how you can't upgrade everything, thus making the game to easy and that you have to chose your upgrades wisely.

ive seen where some people are saying shield is the best way to go, i disagree. go offense, work on your secondary weapons... and your golden :) 5/5!

It would be better if we just got 3 lives at the beginning of each round, that way I don't have to hit retry at the menu screen to get the 3 starting lives if I had lost at least one in the round before.

A little more upgrade options would be nice like when theres only one option add another one that will let you go into the other tree. Otherwise great game.

This game is pretty awesome as it is. However, it was slightly bothersome having that status bars at the bottom blocking the view of my ship when down there.

wow this game, so much more challenging than Upgrade Complete. But its more of a challenge, the tree though, i think there is only 1 way to go (ps start with shield)
