Compare this game with Incursion and you realize how much fun a TDF game can be these days. BTTD is just endless grinding and repetition ...

I would easily give this 5 stars, without having to choose all the options from the level select screen every, single, time. Fix this minor bug, and I'll bump my rating from 4/5!

How to destroy all Fixed levels with one tower: build a mega-tower with a Sniper, a Fire Rate boost 3, an Area Burst 4, and a Machine Gun 3. Send all waves at the same time. Watch them die

Having played this game some more, I can't shake off the feeling that this game should be so much better. Discovering that the Area burst towers are so overpowered the only other tower you really need is any ghost tower, yet sometimes still fail to hit every target within range. Learning that you have to play every previous level on a difficulty to unlock them all for later levels, while the game even says that easy's meant to be too easy (Should be a choice of either normal/easy or all the "regular" modes, then unlock everything). And yet still more glitches and oversights. A shame.

I think the new experience features are pretty cool, but I miss the specific challenges and level selection design of the first BTTD. This just seems a little... eh. Being able to do everything doesn't really fix a good set goal in my mind to pursue, and I'm a player that needs a more organized goal to become engaged in a game.

You should be able to play modes on levels that you haven't beat on the previous one. They are not actually in perfect order of easiest to hardest, especially for some challenges, so it seems odd to limit our ability to play them. Sure, there should be some limit; you shouldn't be able to play the final map on insane before you beat the first on easy. But I don't see why the extra modes (all dodge, fixed mode, night watch, etc.) should be so limited.

I love the game, but there are so many bugs. I finish a level, it doesn't give me a star or an achievement for beating it. I finish it again, still no reward. I'm currently sitting on Big Cross All Splitters mode; all waves are sent, all enemies destroyed, nothing has happened. The level is just stuck. 3/5 for the bugs

I think it's quite ridiculous that there's 17 different types of upgraded towers, but most of them are utterly worthless and you actually just need 3 or 4 to waltz through the levels. It really is just artificial dificulty at its finest.

easy way to get hard badge... get decoy/dodge/splitter levels, build a simple maze(or use corners on closed path mazes). Launch all waves right at the start and upgrade a couple area effect towers to max. insanely easy to get 30 levels beaten this way.

Anyone else having problems with towers getting deleted randomly when you click an upgrade? Had it happen a few times, thought I accidentally clicked delete so I became very careful of where I'm clicking - NOPE, sometimes when clicking an upgrade, the tower gets deleted instead. I've only noticed this with heavy lag though (from calling waves early) - this is fairly annoying, don't know if there's a way to fix this (maybe a prompt, which can be enabled/disabled by the player, which pauses the game and asks the player to confirm they want to delete a tower?).

Great game. Kept me entertained all holiday week. But there are some bugs that should be fixed. In particular, several of the "items" are hit and miss: the Splitter Burst completely fails about 1/3 of the time (and I am careful with my aim), and the Range Boost Item fails about 95% of the time so I don't bother with it at all. Very frustrating! Also, I would like it better if there were more flexibility in choosing levels. I'd like to jump around more. Survival mode is fun - thanks for that.

Wow, it's just incredibly OP to have Area Burst towers combined with Range, Fire Rate, and Damage towers put together on it's sides. Add a slow area burst and a weaken area burst before hand and I think you are set for life. It makes some of the levels just WAY too easy. Don't bother merging them, just set up area-burst towers.

Please stop the targeting priority from resetting each time I upgrade a tower, also opening that menu is very slow, and also also clicking a target priority which has a tower beneath it moves the selection to that tower...

Wait wait, I got the acheivement for "Power Shortage, Code Orange" before I got "Power Shortage, Code Yellow". So I had 10 towers emp'ed, but not 5?? http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/1318/acheive.jpg

BUG REPORT: "Merging Towers Cost Lowered" upgrade is non functional.
DETAILS: While attempting new mega tower combinations in fixed mode, I attempted to craft one using; Charge Tower 4, Fire Rate Boost 3, Damage Boost 4, and Area Burst 4. I attempted this in the level "Open Split" but the merge would have cost 1187 of my remaining 1175. I did a couple alternate levels for XP and returned after purchasing the "Merging Towers Cost Lowered" upgrade. The merge still costs 1187.

Level select is also a broken. On a few of the maps it reverts to easy after you choose normal, even when you go through the level select screen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well, targeting doesn't really work. Losing levels because the sniper tower set to "closest to goal" ignores ghosts going past him, destroys every bit of fun.

Insane Mode on Open Split doesn't show I passed it...I have done it three times. This game is great but damn, there are a lot of bugs.

For some reason if you get a more advanced achievement first it won't give you the lower level ones.. e.g. save 1k bubbles, then you don't get save 500 bubbles... bad design...

Sure this game may have a few problems, such as the "Next Level" issue, but has everybody suddenly forgotten the hoard of issues BTTD 1/1.5 had that are fixed here? Such as Ghosts simply being untargettable for no reason.

My biggest issue with this game is the auto-pause if you leave the screen. it made sense with the shooters, but this is a TD with a pause button. we don't need to worry about dying horribly because we missed half a second of action.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
even on insane can easily be beaten by setting up a few towers and then immediately send all waves. Then you have enough cash to upgrade a few towers that will kill everything. Too easy

I suddenly remember why I hate tower defense games so much. Once you start losing, you KEEP losing. I don't have strong enough towers but I can't upgrade them because I don't have enough money because I can't kill the monsters because my towers aren't strong enough because I can't upgrade them because I don't have enough money because I can't kill the monsters because my towers aren't strong enough, etc etc...

One of the most broken games I've ever played on Kongregate. The area damage tower is the best tower in the game. In fact, its the only tower you need to build (other than anti ghost towers).

how to beat 'all dodge' mode in many map: make a small maze and a burst tower. call all waves immediately, upgrade burst tower to 4, add 3 boosters(damage, damage, fire rate). win!

My game broke at the 700th wave. My towers were firing and turning, but the bullets got stuck at point of origin, making for a cool blur effect, but quite ineffective against the creeps who wiped me out >:(

Right. So I'm pretty far into the game and i discovered a huge bug (in my opinion) which was also a huge letdown. This has happened so far in two levels in fixed path levels 1 and 2 in survival mode:
I wanted to make a mega mega tower, so i selected a survival mode in a relatively easy level with no ghosts (well, only cursed enemies). My first mega tower was area burst + 3 boosts (rate, dmg, range). 2nd mega was splash+machinegun+ghost tower+boost (i don't remember which boost). 3rd tower was slow+weaken+firerate+range boosts i think, and last mega was stun+beam+range+firerate. When i completed my last mega it all bugged out (that's on level 2) and the enemies lost their fixed paths (just ran straight to the exit) and also my towers stopped firing, along with a failed script problem (firefox asked my to stop the script, i picked continue, it asked me again, etc.)

For the hard badge:
1. Get Fixed Mode
2. Pick any open level
3. Place them in a square in the middle of the level.
4. Make 1 fully upgraded Sniper Tower, Area Burst Tower, + Power Tower, + Fire Rate Tower.
5. Make a Super Tower.
6. Send all waves at once.

@Dark_Shuyin I know I'm doing something wrong: otherwise, I'd be winning all the levels! Obviously, I'm not as good at this kind of game as you are but I'm not a noob, either. I can normally get far beyond level four of a tower defence game. Either I'm missing something obvious or the game just gets too hard, too fast. With a more gentle difficulty curve, players would have more chance to learn how the towers work together, for example, before getting hit with levels that they lose again and again. As it is, I finally managed to get the fifth level for the challenge but I doubt I'll be playing again.

so, i was about to quit, so i decided to just spam all of the waves at once and upgrade every thing to aoe towers and won xD

I addition to all the other bugs people have listed, I just discovered the "merging towers cost lowered" upgrade doesn't even do anything (merge cost is the same). The Bubble Tank series has always been so good; I don't understand how they could slack off so much for this game. Kittens are crying everywhere :-(
