This could be fun but the UI is pretty terrible. Clicking through to see each gun is a chore and should have been laid out in a grid fashion. Also, the "stats" screen doesn't tell you if the gun is secondary or primary. I just found the menus to be cumbersome.

the tutorial is godawful "are you sure you want to place another primary gun on your fortress? you won't be able to use it" oh well thanks for telling me after I already placed it. Can I get a full refund? nooooope

Good game, I pretty much make 1 Tri-shot machine gun (you know, the one that shoot 3 bullet at once?) because the minigun's accuracy is meh. 1 Tri-shot machine gun with 5 damage booster for the last battle. Achieve up to 14 damage. Although you still need to press, it's quite cute when you see the enemy ship falling one by one even before the whole body come out yet (excluding the boss and super ultra tiny bug of course!). It's damage can easily beat Sniper Rifle. I mean, seriously, with that cooldown + 3 shot (14x3) what can beat it? Nothing. Oh, there's one, when the enemy get behind you, you are doomed! However, just put your gun behind and you should be fine.

A setup that I find very useful, especially in the later levels, is having a triple-barrel machine gun with double or triple damage, one decoy turret, and the rest of the slots filled with either a drone-producer, or a bunch of airships to get behind enemies, and to generally provide extra damage.

Here's a tip for getting that badge of the day: buy the machine gun and two auto airships to start, it makes it much easier. I bought a barrier decoy as well, but it really didn't seem to draw any fire, ever. Some decoy.

repairing a barrier decoy costs as much as repairing a solar cannon.you see,some scrap metal costs just as much as repairing the solar pannel,the massive battery,the nano-tech and all the good shiet found in a solar cannon.i was like *facepalm* when i noticed.but still awesome game.

Very good game but a little too easy - specially once you've finished the first 6 campaigns.
Get a dual machine gun, a sniper and a barrier to start with.
(For the harder campaigns get two snipers and two barriers)
As soon as you can afford it, replace the dual machine (and the sniper to make it harder) gun with the minigun. In the last two campaigns add a fire rate buffer.

There is a bug that occasionally puts your turrets off the top of the screen when you try to place them on a location where a turret was destroyed in the previous wave.

Seriously, does nobody use the disk launcher? I used it as soon as possible and then throughout the entire campaign. It goes through armor fairly well and shreds decoys while going though them. AND it's OK if they get behind you, just shoot them anyway. Anyone?

If you want to win this game you need a strategy. One of my favorite stategies is: Spread Machine Gun (or Disc Launcher), 1 Barrier Decoy in frond to absorb the bullets, 1 Artillery Tower to kill the big guys (not necessary in the beginning), 1 (or 2) Sky Minefield(s) to destroy every enemy. There are many sorts of stategies. One of the levels I couldn't win, so I used this one from that level and now i won the game. The Boss is really awesome! (Pwned with Solar Cannon and Solar Station.)

If you're using a machine gun and really don't feel like holding down the button the entire time, just click and hold, drag the mouse off screen, release the button, and no more button holding.. until the next wave where you must repeat the steps above..

This game is pretty awesome! I just love a good shoot em up game! Helpful hint: Buy the dual machine gun turret to start, then quickly switch over to the spread machine gun. Rack up enough points to up the damage of the machine gun, then drop a barrier decoy down. Hold down the mouse button and watch kills rain in faster than the gold count!! Pop in a damage buffer, and even the strongest ships will fall like putty at your supreme might!!

This game is too much work. Repair each turret after every wave? Only fire one turret at a time? Miss your enemies half the time? Have to hit a very small, semi quick enemy 2 times before it dies to finish the wave? Yeah, no thanks. This game had potential, if the the gameplay wasn't so annoying... I was amazed at how many towers there were to choose from in the beginning, only to realize that the gold income was horribly slow, and that waves are more frustrating than they are fun. Maybe it gets better later on in the game, but I won't be getting there. Failed to hold my attention, got the Badge of the Day, I'm out.

Yeay! I've beaten the last level using the Disc Launcher as primary weapen! Finally - after 1.3e+006 mouse clicks! ++won the hard badge --need a new mouse^^

for all those people who complain about"'how bad this game is because the turrets you don't use do nothing", that is ment to be this way! primary guns you use PRIMARILY, secondairy guns are strong extra weapons you use from time to time because they are SECONDAIRY, and passive weapons work by themselves and add a PASSIVE bonus, makes sense doesn't it :)

Small tip for getting the daily badge: don't use the starting cannon as your primary, buy the machine gun instead...much easier to aim.

the lack of a range indicator for the arcing guns make them hard to use. Also if all my damaging turrets are destroyed the round should auto end because there is no way for me to continue, instead I sit here waiting for my passive ones to be hit :/

For the trishot machine gun, upgrade the damage twice, then upgrade the firerate. The reason for this is upgrading damage first is (+100% damage) for 10 points. Upgrading damage again is (+50% damage) for 10 points. Then, if you upgrade firerate five times you get (+100% damage) for 15 points - as opposed to (+33% damage) for 10 points.

Geeze, the UI in this game stinks! Also, what's with the warning about primary weapons? As far as I could tell, there's no way to fire more than one weapon at a time no matter what type of weapon is equipped... so why offer a warning about it? I stuck it out and made 100 kills to earn the botd, but I won't bother with this game again. 2/5.

I have a Minigun that annihilates anything short of the final boss in 4 seconds or less. A time-machine that freezes all of my foes. An acid cannon that covers the entire sky in liquid death.... The story still says that I "lost." :/

1 e oying bug, when i repare some units, and then beguin the next wave, i cant klick and use my primary, why? i only have the spred machine gun and dronestation, but i cant use tha 3 spred -.-

So let me get this straight... this is the same country that has developed teleport technology but still relies on steam power and have yet to develop the jet engine? Clearly their R&D department had different priorities than ours... But in any event, great game!

1st round: tri machine gun. 2nd round: tri. 3rd round tri. 4th round: disk launcher, two barriers 5th round: disk, barriers. 6th round: tri. The extra slots should be buffs or a sniper cannon or minefield. Sky minefield is good against teleporters and/or annoying drones that appear in round 4-6. Put main gun in bottom-left and barriers in front.

I use triple sky minefield. Own every single campaign. (That's if you've finished it once, coz it's pretty costly, for the later upgrades - fire rate buffer and shields)

Here's a tip for future game dev's:
Don't make the tutorial to your game just a boring list of words like this one. The tutorial to this game was so boring that I just skipped right through it, because I would rather learn the game myself than read some long boring text. Make the tutorial more interactive. 2/10

Screw Armor Games for locking out in game achieves and the expansion content. I prefer Kong, it's community and it's convenience.
