I think the controls are fine. The only real problem I had with it was the double shot popping up while using the tanks. Otherwise it's a great trip off Space Invaders.

The design is pretty clean, but I'm not very convinced by the gameplay. It's really hard to get what's going on, the controls are too complicated, not user-friendly at all.
Must be simplified a little bit.

If you die, there's too many bldgs. being obliterated...intercept as many of those bombs as possible that come down at u, u have to track back and forth all the time, kill all the squids so they dont infect ur bldgs. and when the squid comes on lvl 7 or 8, u have to go back and forth between tanks, using the powerups..thats wut theyre for....the mothership...just try killing only 1-2 ufos, then focus on her with everything u got.

Draco, there's a way to turn off the help in the game controls menu. Great game Indie, I like the unique and easy to grasp concept. I'm not particularly a "pink" man, but it works well in this game :). I like the colors and graphics a lot. 5 stars.

I finally did it...i had to try more than ten times! and i repeat: indie your game is good (i gave 3 stars), but there is that bug that may ruin the gaming experience. I don't know how i did it finally,but it was a fight against time :)
I don't agree with people that say that this game is awful...it's just a little slow, and maybe i wouldn't choose it for a challenge. But I'm sure that I wouldn't be able to create a game like this, the idea is good and it has good graphics and gameplay.

The gameplay is just too slow. 'Stun the beast' whats that supposed to mean? Let ME choose when I want the intructions for the tank and powerups gone not YOU.

you go half in sleep through 14 levels and die in 15. and it's little too boring to start over and over again.

This is a god awful game. It needs precision shooting, to destroy the bomb ships and the bombs, and it just doesn't have it. It gives game over when you still have buildings left. You need to be able to get power ups more often. This whole game sucks.

Indie, once the super canon is destroyed by the mother ship you should end the double shot upgrade since the tanks already shoot double. It's aggravating to have pointless upgrade after pointless upgrade especially against a boss.

i was on lv 15 and had owned the mothership with an s wen she came before and was positioned to win, my finger went for the "e" key and i accidentally hit "r" and it exited and said ur stats are posted, bad placement of quit key

Now that I beat the challenge, just thought I'd mention something, I kept getting more than 100% accuracy, I got like 117% on the first boss, then even more on the final, is that a glitch, or am I just godly? ;)

I have to agree, I'm just not a fan of this game. The pace is far too slow and combat is too loose for a game that requires exact targeting. The controls themselves are unwieldy and need to refined. Using D and S to select and use your power ups seems unnecessary. It's also difficult to keep track of how much damage is being done to your base.
Even with the promise of a challenge card, I'm not particularly compelled to keep playing.

Indie, me and sanCelluz have never said that your game is so bad...we only have done a comment about what we think it might be a bug. I find exceeding that you have to say that we are supposed to be gamers and not kids. I think that your game is very good, and enjoyable, but i only say that the fact that i arrive everytime to the last boss and lose in that way it's really frustrating,believe me... now i'll try again, and I only hope that one day I will succeed in completing the challenge :)

Ok, so I finally beat it, and i have some constructive comments to add. First, you really should remove the double-fire powerup after you get the tanks. Second, for bosses, it would be nice if you could actually do something to stop their onslaughts. Thirdly, i kept getting over 100% accuracy,i got like 170 or somthing on the boss, so...yeah... somthing to consider. To all the people who say the boss is unbeatable, just don't let so many buildings get destroyed. Oh, and to the guy who said there wasn't a pause button, yes there is, check the controls before complaining.

One word: dreadful. This is an awful game. For a start, the controls suck. Also, there is no pause button. Every game needs a pause button. Not only that, but the time that it says 'Game Over' Is almost completely random, I once had half the city left and it said Game Over! If I could vote 0 that is what it would get.

man.... like an hour and a half, spent losing on lvl 15, the boss wins no matter how many missles i hit it with or how many of its shield drones i kill

Oh, and Desktop Defense too about 1 hour to get the end level to find out you didn't get 5000 points... Much more frustrating of a challenge in my opinion, considering it takes only about 20 minutes max to make a try for P.O.D.

Despite all these haters below I still think Desktop Defense was much more boring of a defense game. It was such a yawn I never got the card. I'm sure it depends on who is playing, but I don't think I've ever lost on P.O.D, seems a bit easy really, then there are people that can't beat it?

I hate to say it, but this game sucks. It takes waaaaay to long to get to the boss. And then the boss takes you out like it's nothing. I played twice, won't be playing it anymore.

I love this game but after playing a long time, in the last level I alway lost.

As say before...i never found this game hard...all the times i have played it i have gained level 15..my problem was for the boss and the building that sometimes are more than one...anyway last time i died in the sametime of the boss...and naturally i have lost :P
And anyway.....im a gamer...not a kid...and i really think that this game need more work, its nice but surely not worthy for a challenge session...maybe next time......

the best way to beat the game is this.
1.make destroying the missiles first priority,they cause the most damage.2.those red dots not only help u kill squid,they are the things thats give u power ups,use them sparingly.(exept for boss level,use them like crazy then)3.constantly switch trucks to gain the advantage of accuraccy to easly destroy missiles,but dont switch too much becuz ull drain their power too fast.4.on the final boss level,just simply destroy all the red things u see while keepping a steady flow of bullets on the boss,also make destroying his minions first priority.use ALL power ups on boss tho.that is all...

oh wait a minute...ive just looked at the other posts and i am laughing at them all now.this game is dirt simple,BUT learning to beat it with ease was exremely tricky,im sure only a third of the ppl who played this game have found the ultimate strategy for beating it...thus i will tell you...(in my next post)

After reading these comments I want to put my 2 cents in....this was the least pressured of all the challenges so far. Yeah, it might have a few bugs here & there, but nothing serious. If ppl would go to the forums or be directed there, an understanding of the strategies can be found. Indie did a fine job here.

I liked some of the gameplay, the graphical style was good and retro, and the music wasn't bad. But, it's really hard to tell when you're dying, and the game itself is pretty darn tough. I also don't really like having to go back all the way to level 1 when you lose on 15, especially since it takes so long to get back.

Lol...after my complaints i just ended the game....but he didnt give me the card.....sigh...a problem with the flash plugin? I HATE THAT...and i will try again....
