dont ever use the red hordes catylsm thing, because it almost wiped out my squads that where sitting in my strong hold then the enemy had maybe 1/3 of their hp gone but mine lost 2/3 and my strongholds also lost alot to and it says in the description that it does more dmg to enemy

I agree with everything everyone else said.
1) When I say attack the ogre, I MEAN attack the ogre, NOT the enemy castle beside it!
2) -waiting impatiently- Do I have enough gold yet?! Why is everything so darn expensive?!
3) Ooh~ I hope I can be the undead guys next! -disappointed-
4) -playing Crimson Horde- Why the heck is level eight so darn hard?!?!
5) Is the trebuchet there yet?!?! ARGH!!!
6) If you've defeated the enemy, just freaking capture the castle already! You don't have to dance around outside first! The precious seconds, I tell you! THE SECONDS!!!
7) Darn these commands- retreat, I say, RETREAT!!!
Oh, and might I suggest rewards for achieving the badges? Like extra gold/supply/mana at the start of each level?
Overall, awesome game! Can't wait for the sequel! I'll be sure to be on the lookout. =]

There's a lot to like about this flavor of strategy game- the polish, mechanics and upgrade tree all seem to jibe but the implementation is, frankly, awful. Units don't obey orders, blindly attack even when they are on completely different order tracks and because the enemy can start with the most powerful spells frequently decimates your resources at will. It's luck, really, if you manage to beat some levels, let alone in under some time limit. This isn't version 1.0; more like 0.6. Great effort, but nobody play tested this before it was released.

Other than the chain-fighting problem that pongo experienced, I would also like if they didn't just default to battling. If there's an open treasure chest, and I'm getting killed, one troop listening to me and getting the treasure chest so I could train new troops would be very helpful.

The most frustrating thing about this game is when your troops don't do as you command. They won't let me stop attacking when I want to retreat and recover. I am speaking specifically about range troops when they are near an enemy tower.

Honestly, has anyone got the hard badge without cheating? All strategies go down the drain, because those little fellas have a mind on their own and do not listen to my commands. You should fix this or add a firing squad for insubordinates...

What's wrong with badges? I have a save with over 30k exp and all campaigns completed, and do last stage three times more - both XP and capture strongholds badges empty and have nothing at "best so far"

Extremely frustrating when you are just about to get your three stars score, but your army walks around for an extra 5 seconds before occupying the tower...

I get very irritated when I'm set to get a perfect, but my troops for whatever reason need to walk away from the building after destruction only to return and capture it causing those few extra seconds to tick off and leave me at "great". Maybe I'm unlucky, but this is the third time it's happened and I'm still on the first campaign.

there have been a few instances where i have gone to attack an ogre with a chest and my guys automatically started attack enemy fots and getting wiped out cause i didnt have enough money to reinforce them, i would enjoy if you could change the ai so that when you send them off you can select a unit to attack instead of just having them go to the general area and attacking whatever, also i dont like that you have to hold the "button" for each soldier for like 5 seconds in order to move them, if you could make it so you just have to click on them that would make it alot more enjoyable and less frustrating, other than that great game!

My units should follow my orders. I told my units to attack one town but as soon as they passed a tower they attacked it and I couldn't do anything to get them away from it :(

Not much strategy involved. You can hardly control your armies, adn especially for the horde the upgrades are complete garbage since you start most of the maps with your first 2 units aviable, and once you have conquered a castle to build the other 2 the round is already won anyway.

Something I didn't see was what was the time limit I had to get the Great rating. It would be nice to see how much time I have left to achieve the top rating instead of finding out just as I'm about to beat the level.

Call to the grave is definitely BS. What is that garbage? You take my forces for what reason? I like strategy games, and this feature takes strategy out of the equation. I originally liked this game.

Brilliant, I totally enjoyed that :) I found the red team the hardest to work with. It's very satisfying in the later levels, when the boot is on the other foot. Ohhhh! Keep sending one garrison of archers so that my building is never quite operable, and my soldiers inside getting no R&R? Let's see how you like it! lol! Great stuff. Yess, revenge was sweet. Loved the ice team. This feels fresh to me, this game. You know, elements remeniscent of things here and there. I felt I had to complete in one sitting, which is a great sign for a game. And as well, left wanting more - I can imagine this with a huuuuge campaign map, you know, like Gemcraft. That would be awesome.

1 star. such a pitty I can see that incredebily talanted people worked on this game. Just rushing the enemy is probably the worst game breaking mecchanism ever, to encourage it is folly.

I'm sure that I am just missing something, but it would be nice to be able to see all of my squads HP when there clumped up (say at the top of the screen) and in addition to the be able to select and retreat my squads so they can heal

I may have over reacted a touch, it was just really frustrating to have call of the grave screw me over on one or two levels. game is still great. haha, just dont make it so horrible when they do it. i started to avoid it by using mainly cavalry, faster anyways, but it still like almost kills them. stoked for sequel

Is it even possible to beat the final level in 5:30? I can take a few bases but it seems travel time alone for the map means 5:30 will never happen.

I'm really liking this game. Would love it if the conditions for ratings were more balanced rather than just being fast. (I know this has been said and I have read the replies, just wanted to reiterate it as it's important this s for satisfactory game play). Looking forward to more from you.

Feature missing (more detailled in the 3 following post):
- a hard mode with a more counter cycle coming from the CPU + bigger map with empty castle.
- upping the value of upgrading a castle (with is a lost of gold to build unit)
- a multiplayer mode with all 4 clan
- More units needed to bring down castle
