The gears aren't shown with a proper meshing, which is both wrong from an engineering standpoint and also makes it harder to visually guess which size will fit properly in a particular spot. Also, the only complexity seems to come from having a confusing array of holes to choose from. Not terribly enjoyable practically or intellectually.

So does anyone else see the slight tones of pro drilling propaganda in this game? Wind is gone, so now we need to connect to a magical underground source?

I'm super impressed with this. The artwork is amazing and the puzzles feels so natural and logical. The music is beautiful and relaxing and doesn't make you feel frustrated when you don't get how you're supposed to solve a puzzle. Just brilliant. My favorite puzzle game on Kong at the moment.

The powered cogs are a metaphor for oil. Wind has failed the little liberal commune, so they must power their grain mills from reliable, underground oil and natural gas deposits.

It is a fun enough puzzle game, but it is backwards! The original spinning cog should be the one attached to the windmill. The whole point of a windmill is to create movement in a cog in order to power something else. This game depicts a mini-golf hole windmill that is powered by electricity or something.

wind is created due to an unequal heating of the Earth's surface. I'm glad we finally have equal heat dispersion worldwide

so what is the point of a windmill if you are powering it from underground and not from the wind? they could just make a energy plant

Is it even possible to beat the second level? Looks clearly misplaced. And Windmills don't even work like that, unless it's like for water or some sort. 2/5.

The gears don't mesh. Kind of sloppy considering that's the main game mech... OH NOES IT'S CRITICISM OMG (-10)!!!... um, yeah.

just when i was thinking to myself "ok, now the game starts for real, wow that was a long tutorial..." i beat the game. 4/5 for lack of length and difficulty

I want to like this game. But it is way too hard to judge the distance.
If you press delete it will put a cog back to the panel, and it will delete the spoke you can place cogs on.

It's the wrong way round. And so? It's a game, and a nicely written one. Only obvious bug is that the DEL key will delete *everything*, which is trivial.
I've got to level 12 and haven't cracked it yet. The first 11 levels got a little harder each time, exactly as they should.
A very nicely written game, good graphics, good music, one (very minor) bug. Well done authors! 4/5 :)

nice game! and I dont know why people bother about "this is not how windmills work" IT'S A GAME! it doesn't need to be realistic!

I this it's very well put together. The art style is beautiful, and the concept is fun. However, it's difficult for me to tell that the gears are meshing when I place them, or if they are just really close. There is an OCD part of me that wishes they really meshed well together, it would be much more satisfying for me.

This is a poorly disguised attack on wind power generation by the big-oil tycoons! Of course they'd have you think the only real source of energy has to be dug up.... I'm on to you!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good concept, poor execution. It's very hard to whether gears will move each other in certain locations or not fit at all without actually trying different combinations. Making this more of a trial and error exercise than a thinking game.

A nice game! What's cool and kind of funny is that my Physical Science class is reviewing on simple machines, and we're on gears right now! lol

This is completely reversed. The windmills should be the gears which are turning, and the one which starts turning should be the goal. Apart from that really jarring mistake, it's not a bad puzzle.
