Really, hard isn't that hard if you get through the first couple of rounds with a good deck. Abuse magic weapons and thief. Magic weapons + trojan horse = lol. 4/5 for the game.

I have one problem with this game. It really doesn't make much sense for the "Add crystals" card to cost you 5 crystals and give you 8, so basically you only gain 3 whereas the other "Add" cards will give you much more of a benefit.

Honestly, except for the achievement pain in the rump, the game is simple and solid. It is basic, but fun at the same time. Multiplayer is good too, allowing you to chat and keep decks.

Tips for hard mode: play on easy and medium first to unlock Trojan, then select 75 card with 5 trojan, 5 ambush and add crystal/weapon and brick. Try to earn components for trojan and kill them as fast as you can, until he upgrade his castle. If you got wrong card - restart. The hardest game in final battle - 35hp so you should use trojan and ambush or double attack card. Good luck!

You should not be playing against other players that have cards like Curse or Trojan Horse when you don't have them. Every single time I play against a person who has that card, I curse. So it should tell you that they have these cards.

I HATE the Trojan Horse card. It's too cheap to make, and it does too much damage for the point of the match that you can use it. It can be used before you even have a chance to build up your castle. Rant over.

I actually really enjoy this, it's too bad the Hard is nearly impossible just because you only get horrible cards. I love how Kong says "There is some luck involved here, but nothing that can't be overcome with a bit of patience and a finely tuned deck". Some luck my ass..it's pure luck and even then it's hard. Plus the PvP tie thing, that's if anyone even plays anymore.

As others have said, there's just way too much luck involved here. Almost everything depends on whether you get your builders/mages/recruits early, or not. And since you can't put more than 5 each in a deck, it's basically a crap shoot.

This gets a 3/5 for the multiplayer ragequit problem, the lack of charm from the original, some bad card choices, and why does the castle look really cool when destroyed, but when it is 100% is looks like a... castle?

I love Castle Wars, the reason I made a Kongregate account back then was to multiplayer with the first game of the series. Gave this a 1/5 for the punishingly frustrating hard capaign.
