I with overwhelming difficulty completed Hard Campaign. My deck was entirely based on quick resource gains and destroying the enemy as fast as possible. And possibly getting super powerful cards (dragon) with magic weapons to 1-hit kill the enemy. Doing a long battle will inevitably result in my resources being murdered. 90% of the difficulty are those sacrifice cards.... the resources are key to your success.

The decks are seriously bugged. The only way to stop depending severely on luck in this game is to balance your deck well, but they don't save. It's very aggravating.

An obvious issue is when the AI (even on hard mode) uses sacrifice cards even when the player only has one of that worker. It's a ridiculously stupid thing for the AI to do. Maybe on easy mode. But definitely not on hard mode.

The easy badge doesn't work for me. Even though I got the medium badge for completing the campaign, I don't get the badge for a single win ... ?? And Kongregate is not willing to give it to me, even with a screenshot with alle the requirements! What's wrong with this site? ...

Me: .....Yeah.... that.. .that's good, I'm glad I finally get to play a game that really focuses on the players skill level and not just the luck of the draw, good game... close match..

The game cheating by spamming the sacrifice cards when it has 1 to sacrifice (something you cannot do) as well as it using resources it does not have... makes it frustrating and not a fun play. 5 years and still broken?

playing campaign...computer is "cheating".... He had no crystals and 2 mages....and played a 5 crystal card. Too glitchy to be much fun

Also easy badge is broken, Trojan doesn't unlock in easy/medium campaign (which is needed for hard mode). Basically impossible without reloading a million times. Bad balancing.

Badge information is misleading - it is VERY heavily reliant on luck. Basically tune your deck is the easy part - hard part is keep restarting till you have the perfect hand + enemy has crap.

An advantage of using a Magic Weapons + Trojan Horse deck over a Castle to 100 deck is that you win or lose earlier on, so you don't waste as much time getting your castle to 75 or whatever just to get screwed over by the AI later on. With both decks you should be restarting first turn if your starting hand sucks or in the first few turns if AI plays a killer card, but a Trojan Horse win is just faster than Castle to 100...you only need 15 Brick + 20 Weapons + 15 Crystals for the whole combo...often you won't even want to play Builders/Knights/Mage cards if you are close to getting the combo.

I took a different approach than others for the hard campaign. I used an all out assault deck for the early levels, then adjusted it to a deck focused on getting the Magic Weapons + Trojan Horse combo off. Of course it sometimes failed miserably but you only need it to work once for each battle. Didn't take too long to complete Hard Campaign, but now I see I need to go back to an easier level to get the 15 point badge!

Hard mode is blind luck. I seriously spend well over half the turns throwing away cards, waiting for resources to build. During that time, the opponent always has cards to destroy my resources, making it take even longer. Challenge is one thing, but this is "pull the arm and hope the wheels come up 7 7 7". I can't endorse something that hasn't been properly play tested.

I agree. Should be count win when opponent quit But not count if multiple time quit on the some opponent and very early on the game

2 turns from winning hardmode, and my computer has discarded all of its cards, and no longer will make take its turn.
Even the damn computer quiting doesn't give you a win! MY GOD!

Best way to win the campaign is having 5x sacrifice cards, mages, recruits and builders. You can play them at your first turn and then you both have only 1 builder and recruit. Only other thing you need is luck, cause it's hard to win if you die before your 2nd turn xd.

I want this for iOS. The "AI" is silly sometimes - sacrificing builders etc when I only have 1 left anyway, or throwing a Magic Weapon Comet at me when I have a Magic Shield up makes no sense, but these fun moments are great to take advantage of in the last few levels. It can help turn the tide in my favor if the enemy keeps sacrificing his production away until he's only got 1 left of each! Despite the difficulties and seemingly unfairness of those levels, I've been coming back to play this game religiously for several years. It would be nice if someone picked it up, made some improvements, and released on mobile. 4/5.
