Maybe in order to beat the last levels on Hard you should be able to buy an addon that gives you a permanent turbo shot. Available at 170 Stars or so and let it cost 500k, doesn't matter. BTW two of the same addons do stack.

Hello there game, I choose you as been a BoTD, this week. Followed by, this game -> http://www.kongregate.com/games/nicotuason/desert-moon

As with all of these games, it just thrusts you into the shooting. And that is great! Sometimes there is no point being bogged down by a story. But it does make me wonder WHY we are fighting. Why my little plane has to face TONS of foes alone. So far, I've been going with the notion that these other lands have discovered the ability to turn their women into catgirls, and won't share with me because I'm a geek.... it really gives me incentive.

When I finish level 7, it says I killed 92/92 with three stars. But if I go back to that level, it says 92/93. Small bug or is there an in-level kill that I keep missing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the fact that you can play levels on an higher difficulty and get more stars by destroying more enemies. Nice improvements from your 2 earlier games.

Great game! Maybe it's been said already, but it seems like this game really needs a "lost focus" feature. It's really frustrating when my plane stops moving and gets pummeled while I figure out what happened to my cursor.

Last levels impossible to get 3 stars with current fire power - perhaps if played 100's of times and luck enough to get extra bomb drops... but no thanks too boring to replay same levels over and over for chance... How about you either make high level weapons do more damage or add extra bomb slots.

TIP: You can crash an armored plane to kill high HP enemies and quickly grind cash for upgrades.
Also, does Frenetic mode count for the hard achievement?

Hi,
awesome game, really funny!
I think there is an error in the level 7. The number of enemies is 92, and at the end of level is 92/92, but on the map is 92/93...I missed something?
Thank you for the game, I hope you'll make the 4th! :)

The game has rapidly increasing enemies' stats, as well as their money drop and stats of weapons and ships you can buy with this money. This means you and enemies are in arms race if you don't specifically grind earlier stages. It is ok, until at latest stages you realize you are getting tons of money but already got the best stuff in the shop - and enemies are inadequately strong for that best stuff. Perhaps adding some kind of elite shop that opens once you beat final boss (with any star rating) would help. After my hundred attempts to merely survive stage 20 (3 starts are impossible there without finding at least 3-4 extra bombs and firepower bonuses) I have million and half, I would gladly spend it onto super aircraft, or super damage module (- magnet, - money drop, +++firepower), or perks like "start with 2 bombs", or even one-use bonuses "for 30K money you have +50% attack this attemp"

The hitbox is just too large to dodge effectively, the key to good bullet hell game is to allow the player to weave in between the bullets. The weapons are too weak in later levels to help either, and there's no moment of invincibility when you get hit to help out either. These combined make it almost impossible to beat.

Good game. Here are some tips on how to get the badges.
1. Dont spend to much money on low lvl weapons and don't care about the dps. The dps is misleading.
2. Get a cheap ship with 3 guns, eg the on to 4300 gold.
3. Save money by playing the highest lvl you find easy on frentic mode.
4. Get the homing missiles.
5. Grind until you can buy the best ship and fully upgrade the homing missiles.
6. Kill the last boss easy.
This is not a recipe for getting all stars but for getting all the badges.
Good luck.

I bought the biggest ship, upgraded the biggest weapon and installed 2 damage amplifier and it's still impossible to kill enough enemies in the later levels.

when you get to the point where completing a new level or a recent level on normal nets u 2000- 3500 bucks invest in fragmentation bombs

Please increase the rate of cash gain early on. The game seems solid enough, but grinding really should be kept to a minimum.

The last few levels are EXTREME; I have plasma bombs that do 4,375 damage, WAY more than the triplane's health itself, either the INSANE health of the last ships have to be lowered, or we need better planes...
I bet you can do it' after all, you just made the most extreme version of Notebook Wars! Peace ;3

an over kill bullet should turn into a pierceing bullet and carry damage to the next ship in sight and should you still be a over kill do the same thing and so forth
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There should def be an impossible badge for getting all the stars since beating the game on normal is considered hard.

Is it just me, or is the laser absolutely worthless? It's supposed to do more damage than the sonic gun (both at lvl 25) but it can barely kill anything...

Oh hey look, there are the little planes from the beginning again, this should be easy.... WAIT WHAT? DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIaaawh I'm dead

I found a nice setup: Get a ship with three shots, and get Ice Cannon in the middle, and the rest is whatever you want. Works really well, even in the early game (Two Fire + Ice Cannon = rock!) The ultimate sqetup for this is Ice Cannon + Gauss Gun + Meteor Gatling. Ice will slow everything, Gauss will stop these who get in column, and well Meteor Gatling for the rest :P

don't know about other weapons, but the homing missile and plasma bomb stop displaying damage on the hangar screen after a few upgrades, once the accuracy of dps is addressed, this is next...

Getting 3-stars on that last level is impossible without getting SUPER LUCKY and finding a bunch of power-ups and/or smart bombs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You may want to look at the dps #s for your weapons. I have Frag Bombs at lvl 25 showing 1575 dps while the Meteor Gatling lvl 3 shows only 557 dps handles the same level much more easily.

Hard badge is easy, it just needs patience. So basically to get it you will have to buy guns, ships that will help you survive in the mid-levels, however once you reach to the mid-levels, replace both add-ons with the Cash add-ons and continuously replay a later level where you can easily mow down enemies and still get alot of gold. Continue that and buy a meteour gun and possibly one of the most expensive ships, from then it becomes way too easy. Awesome game! 5/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there is something very wrong with the DPS stats on the weapons. Meteros (which really shouldn't be that expensive AT ALL) say the DPS is like 8k, while the plasma bombs DPS is not even half that... yet the meteor seems to do roughly half the damage that the plasmas are doing! somethings really wrong there

i think that the items in the shop need to be more organized, like i see the next plane and assume it's the next best till i look at it and that plane was worse than the others before it... i just think it needs to be organized by value cause it's sorta annoying to me.

Posting a few tips for anyone who needs them. -1. You can equip more then one of the same gun. -2. Three Gauss guns rock. -3. buy a Northdrop till you can afford the "Flying Fort" the "Triplane" is to big. -4. When you can afford it buy and max out the homing missle, three of them make the last boss a joke as you stand to the side and watch him die. -5. And the last tip "Missile,Ice Gun,Missile" is a great combo for getting 100% on all levels, freeze and dodge enemies while the missiles kill them.

Oct17 Damage is still incorrect on weapons. For example Frag Bomb says 3150 maxed but could barely pass level. Equipped Napalm bomb at lvl 16 with only 437 damage and decimated everything on screen. It's a shot in the dark at what the real damage is. Good luck!
