this game is highly overrated and it has some serious gameplay design flaws. let me elaborate:
you get three attempts each level, but you have to play almost perfect at every attempt, otherwise you wont have enough money for the next level. and if you don't have enough money you can just as well restart because you have the same set of powerups on every three attempts. that means, asuming you always get the same cannon angle and power, you will have the same distance on every try. that defeats the idea of having three attempts.
also as said by other people, most of the time you spend waiting for the plane to reach the water and click on one powerup. and when you have a high vertical velocity (after using three thrusters) you only have a split second chance to click.
there are more but this edit box is too small and i am too lazy.
if you want to play a good cannon game then search for nanaca crash in google. too bad that game is not in kongregate.

Easiest way to get badge: when you hit water after the 2nd run right click and hit play. It will keep the cash you got and take you to the shop, and you can do the level again. keep doing this until you have a decent amount of cash. max your style points, and make sure you are staying on level 1. keep buying stuff (thrust most important) until you have over 1000$. Then buy everything. Get about a 30 degree angle and go for max power. as soon as you launch use all 3 thrust. the use a ski each time you hit water. after those run out use the fish when you hit the water. rate up to help others!

This game could have been pretty good, but there are so many problems that quickly make it a very unpleasant gaming experience. Even with the "cheat," it's difficult, and it comes down to the horrible launching power bar. My small addition to the cheat -- you don't have to right click exactly when you hit the water; you can right click in the end statistics screen or even in the next (3rd) launch sequence to take advantage of that glitch. I'm at 6,898 right now ... so close.

Thampton- this game came out several years before Learn to fly. They are called launch games and all are based on Kitten Cannon

7241 meters... got the badge, now goodbye forever... This is the first game on Kong that I have rated 1/5... Horrible game... bottom line. The things I do for badges... lol

What a sucky game... 1. If you don't have the cannon angle and power set right. You lose. 2. If you don't make enough money to get the needed upgrades to go further... You lose. 3 If you lose... You have to start over which makes this game highly frustrating.... ESPECIALLY trying to reach 7,000m for the hard badge... >.

Good concept, but having to restart the game if you lose? That's not good. If you really want to keep it, have to difficulties, medium where you don't have to start over, or hard where you do have to start over...

This game is extremely annoying. I can't seem to accumulate enough money to buy any upgrades. It keeps recycling back to zero. My patience is depleting rapidly.

Put a little persistence of upgrades in this game's design, for the love of god. Having to restart every time, and losing my items every time... I tried 3x and then I decided not to waste more of my life on this.

Awful. 2/5. Sacrificing enjoyment for the sake of a harder game is not a good idea. Also, it jumps from 200 to 600...wheres the 400? Add a save button for Pete's sake. Maybe it'll save your game.

Terrible, terrible game. The arrow moves far too quickly and in order to get the upgrades you need to have a perfect launch which is impossible when the arrow is moving so fast you can't even see it. The fact that you have to start from the beginning after you don't beat the distance is probably the worst of it all. I mean seriously 20m off and I lose 20 minutes of my time. TERRIBLE. Too bad there's no 0/5 because 1/5 is a compliment.

This is a good idea but you gotta be able to keep your money after you loose. I mean it's hard enough as it is. Don't get me wrong I like a challenge but it just isn't worth playing.

This game is terrible, it looks like one of those "Educational" games they let you play in primary school, and the voice acting sounds like it too.

Wow, even with ALL upgrades and almost 100% cannon power I barely managed to get the hard badge. Thanks, righclick-play-cheat.

Guys to get the hard badge get about 1.8k by right clicking then clicking play or forward once you have 1.8k buy everything try to the angle at about 30 and the power as much as you can then as soon as you fire activate all 3 boosters then before you hit the ground everytime use the skies then use freaky for the next 3 bounces i got 7426 doing this + if this helped

Its a good platform for a game but like many others have said, it has a few design flaws that really lower the playability factor of it.
1) The most common that seems to appear in the comment box is that with certain items (Ski's, Freaky etc) is that they are one use items), thus one mistake basically can cause you to start from square one again.
2) When getting mid way through the game, the arrow moves exponentitally fast making it extremely difficult to actually progress.
3) If you lose a level you go back to square one.
I font mind one use items but with certain upgrades they should be permanent and instead of starting at square one you should be able to reply the levels, for this I only give it a 3/5

Stupid amount of lag makes it pretty much impossible to get a predictable launch. This is coming with someone with a 3.3GHz EIGHT core system and 12 GIGS of RAM!

Actually I was maxed out completely and beat 7000m before the last round. I just followed Dedrood's advice... took about 5 attemps.

Dev: If you purchase something, it should stay the rest of the game.
Fellow kongers: If you want to get the hard badge, right click and select "play" to keep the money you earn in a round and restart the round. Just keep doing that on level 1 until you have over $800, then buy every single upgrade. I used my upgrades in this order: freaky, thrust, freaky, thrust, freaky, thrust, ski x3.

Fun game, and the easy badge was actually pretty easy for me. But the only way to get the hard badge without totally losing your mind is definitely to use the Right-Click, Play trick after 2 launches on the first level until you can buy everything.
The way I did it was to aim almost completely horizontally, fire with full power, and then use Freak-Thrust 3 times in a row and then the skis. Ended up at 7500 and am saying goodbye to this potentially fun, if all of the issues were fixed, game.
Good luck to everyone else.

Easily the second worst launch game ever (Shopping Kart Hero being the worst). This game basically requires you to purchase certain items at certain times, and there's a lot of experimenting to see which are the right ones to buy. If the author didn't have you lose after a bad round, this game might get more than one star. Maybe three or four. But that simple choice has doomed this game into the piles of unplayable crap games that litter the internet.
