Under rating threshold (show) This game is way too random. I really thought I was making progress until I realized leveling up only multiplied the score, which does nothing. It's a crapshoot on whether you make the right choices or not, but eventually you'll make the wrong one because you should've bought this or rested there about five screens back. Even attacking is random; the enemy can sometimes hit me three times before I get a hit in. If there was some way to strategize, I'd rate it much higher, but as it is, it's way too random for me to progress. 3/5

Under rating threshold (show) I like it, but I'd like to see more characters, more adventures, levelling up lets you level up starting perks to increase your base damage and health before each adventure, more characters and way more items and spells. Just more content without adding more button inputs.

Under rating threshold (show) Survival Tips: 1 - Every run starts with an elixir, don't waste it right away. 2 - Buy elixirs only when you have to. 3 - Buying armor restores your HP to full (it doubles as a heal). 4 - Don't buy Armor/Soulshrines when your HP/Lifespan are at full. 5 - You can beat a dragon without getting a Gold Ticket. You will need a Divine Edge to be able to 1-hit it before it kills you. 6 - Each run is random so just improve your play skill until you get a "good shot" at beating the game.

Under rating threshold (show) @Balbanes If you just read the top comments, you'll notice that its not the elixir that will help you beat a dragon, but divine edge.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is too roguelike. It's entirely random whether you'll make it far enough to even reach a dragon. Not controlling any of the combat in the game makes it dependent on the events that you get.

Under rating threshold (show) Dear Kongregate Team, you may want to reconsider the criteria by which you choose whether a badge is easy or medium or hard. I just earned easy and medium in one single run and it did't even take me half a cup of coffee to do it (and we're talking morning coffee here since I literally just got out of bed, it's not the kind of late night coffee to keep me awake and playing for another few hours...). On the other hand there are certain hard badges that I've been working on for months and months and I still don't have them, which makes me wonder whether an impossible badge would have been adequate...?

Under rating threshold (show) first goal to get is gold voucher instead of upgrades :3 also get ready for one elixir for survive and prepare to buy the gold voucher or upgrade your armor when your hp reach 200 or less depend the enemy dmg :3 also upgrade your weapon/armor when you have 500++ gold and 2 or more bladesmith/armorsmith in next move :3 also you must buy divine edge on day 10/11 to prepare fight the dragon or you can maximize your weapon and armor upgrade before meet the dragon and use elixir at good timing(elixir heal full health) :3 also you must restore your lifespan on soulshrine when ur lifespan meet 23% or less. you musn't restore when the lifespan still on 30% or more, the soulshrine will come again :3 that's all my suggestion for you all fella ~ :)

Under rating threshold (show) 4 enemies including 2 dragon with no place to heal, damn. Anyways great game, would be awesome if the character changes while it levels up, diffferent sword skins for example.

Under rating threshold (show) the problem is literally you cant grind it, level ups only affect score and each run starts with beginner gear, if u cant beat it the first few times, chances are you wont beat it at all

Under rating threshold (show) great concept, i had lots of fun. the lifespan this seems like a buzz kill, why do we need to keep spending our precious money on it? also i would love to be able to hold both elixir and divine edge. I hope to see a sequel!

Under rating threshold (show) An interesting game, but the whole lifespan aspect seems unnecessary. Just get rid of it and increase the cost of the other stuff to keep the coin aspect to where you need it by the ever increasing costs associated with lifespan. Also, why even bother with the experience if all it does is increase your final score? Have it affect future runs of the game like how much money you get for killing a mob or how much damage you do. I'll give it a 3.

Under rating threshold (show) Over 20 runs all ranging from Day 5-12. I've only ran into a dragon 1 time and that was ironically my very first game, which I didn't obtain a Divine Edge. You can't survive holding onto the DE the whole game without needing to buy elixirs in case you get screwed with upgrading armor/heals. Now normally I wouldn't mind grinding my way to a Hard Badge. However, I dare not try to attempt this hard badge. Your dragons crappy spawn rate+ crappy divine edge store spawn rate+needing to have some majorrrrrr luck to get both before dying to other fodder=badge??? Talk about banging one's own head against the wall.

Under rating threshold (show) Freud thought humans were endlessly manipulable, blindingly following rewards. Games are often using that reward mentally. But the current scientific view is broader than that. You can become conditioned (greed) to strive more for rewards but as long as our biological needs are met and the tasks require some cognitive action, it's excellence/mastery, autonomy and purpose that drives us. So a cognitive game doesn't need to feed a user's greed for motivation, it can just make the user feel like they're making progressive and becoming more competent. But I agree that the game developer didn't understand this at all.

Under rating threshold (show) the dragon is over powered i got lucky the first time and had a divine edge instead of elixr the first time i seen a dragon which was maybe my third play and i killed 2 more after that but it would be really helpful if maybe the dragon had its own icon at the top that way i could prepare in someway that may help idk i was a little disappointed that your armor/weapon didnt change when you upgraded them i really like that element in games and it really just keeps me interested for much much longer and its a little annoying when you get 5 places that upgrade armor in a row whatt i really want is a weapon upgrade if you could chose which to upgrade that would be nice but i kinda like the random facotor of it idk its up to you i guess

Under rating threshold (show) lifespan increase should be based on either your current lifespan, or how far apart they are, because of the random appearance they can appear close by eachother, or not close enough, and you can't afford NOT to pay, but at the same time you an't afford to pay.

Under rating threshold (show) The game is about as addictive as a slot machine. I feel, however, that the dragon is too much of an arbitrary pass/fail. Some runs, I'll have a ton of gold saved but not find a single divine edge to buy. And the divine edge is the only thing that can kill it; in dozens of runs, I only managed to get close to beating it in a straight up fight once. That is close, I never actually beat it. Worse, I've had the misfortune of beating the dragon only to find another dragon a few fights later, again without the option of buying another divine edge between the two fights. Given the impossibility of beating the dragon fairly, there should be a check that ensures a divine edge is available within a reasonable distance from the dragon. Or nerf the dragon so that a fighting with good armor, good sword, full hp and an elixir has a chance of beating it.
