After playing the Biogems game day in day out, hours and hours, month after month I finally got a top score of over 81.000. A couple of hours later the score is disappeared from the high scores list.

If you want to grind for high score, take Pixel and max out everything defensive. Hold your money back and do not buy anything that increases damage. This ensures the enemy lives long enough for you to hyper mega ultimate point combo.

If you want to play a game that you feel like is rigged or your opponent is cheating then this is the game for you. The board is stacked against you, and the 1 or 2 options you have set up the computer for their unbelievable plays.

The boss becomes super easy if you make sure you leave no attack moves for him to use, for he'll always go for attack first. Always go for 4x combo. Collect rage when it won't leave you open to getting attacked on the bosses turn. Don't bother with healing (unless it's a 4x combo), it heals far too little to counter the damage taken at this point. Let the timer run out when; you can't shield and counter (prioritizing shield if you have a choice between the two and can't do both), or you can't attack, this leaves the boss with crappy tiles and in the position to shuffle the board pieces around for your turn.

BTW, it is possible to beat every fight without even 1 upgrade, except for the final boss (though I have gotten somewhat close) Often enough, the best move to make in the game is to not move. (let the timer run out)

The final boss counts too much on luck. Basically, I can grind until I get the right combination of drops, or just get on with my life.

you know a game a good when you can't beat the boss with maxed gear. Also when the boss animation gets in the way of the board. Think the dev isn't this impotent, he is just a troll.

Yeah - the boss is too damn hard. I had to repeat an earlier baddie or two, but I've been plugging away at the boss for the better part of an hour, with everything maxed. 5/5 before I hit the boss, 3/5 now.

For the final boss, I found that concentrating only on defense is a good (though slower) way to win. Heal, shield, and counter attack only whenever possible. Print screen and look at it for more time to find a match for when the game hasn't reshuffled yet and there's only one left. If you need more money for upgrades without grinding too much, just start a match and leave it open in the background, they all give you some amount of money for completion even if you die.

This game very badly needed more playtesting time. The pacing is boringly slow, there is too much healing, and the enemies have nothing unique about them.

It's weird to see so many comments about the difficulty of the final boss, or saying that there isn't any strategy, or that the game is all luck. I mean, of course luck is going to be a factor, but I think the game is actually really forgiving when it comes to that. I usually beat the final boss well before I get all the upgrades (just beat it with Bit with 75%). If you have everything maxed but still have trouble, then either there's some aspect of the strategy you haven't discovered yet, or you just need to get better at match-3 games in general, like looking harder for combos you can do on purpose, rather than just picking a match and hoping the right stuff falls in.

not much of a story line to much grinding and it doesnt seem to matter which character you play as. I give it 2 out of 5

Save got erased two times so I beat the game in one sitting after that with the dog. No skill at all. The fights were incredibly reliant on RNG and it usually felt like I got unlucky too many times in a row. (Those damn 4x combos coming out of literally nowhere as 3 purple blocks fall down already aligned is one example) Besides that and the save issue it's a solid game.

Beat final boss on my first try. Max defense makes a regular defense match block 100% of damage. Boss goes from insane to not a huge deal.

This game is too luck-based then it was skill based, even after maxing out all the upgrades. I had to surrender and retry too many times on the Final boss until some decent combos would appear.

If the player loses, he or she should get a chance to switch between the cat and the dog and the third animal for the next attempt.

An easy way to beat the final boss is just to make sure you use up all the attack gems. That way, the final boss can't even attack you.

I got really lucky on the last boss. It took only 2 tries. When he had the rage I had a 100 shield and counter bonus so he dealt 200 damage to himself and 0 to me. Then the battle went on and he raged while I had a counter and killed both of us, I still won though for some reason.

With the Octopus boss on 2nd stage, having 0 hp left. Me over 50% hp left. Can't seem to make more combos to get him below 0, he kills me 2 turns later.

Great game and all. It has an interesting take on match-3 puzzle games. But, please explain the purpose of adding a timer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Meh. On a brand new game, please replace the card that says "each gem does something different" with the card that states the same thing, but also says under each gem what it does.
This will help people not loose the very first turn due to the timer, just because they wanted to figure out what the gems would do in the first place.

Because powers are one turn, there is strategy involved. If enemy has counter, heal. Fill your rage early, always try to grab counters first, and look ahead one move and make sure you are not giving the boss a match, basically block his good moves. Luck helps, too.

what's with the whining? literally less then 30 minutes to finish the entire thing and no more then 2 tries on each fight (including last boss). just go for def and return every turn and its super easy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
too much luck based...I can see pattern and make obvious 2x or 3x combos, but then the CPU makes 6x with gems spawning...can't beat that...

RIP MochiGames ;_; oh how I wish someone would take this over and maybe make an online vs mode to go with it. Be like those mario puzzle games on SNES, yoshi's cookie and wario's woods and the like.
