to get three stars in your levels, here is the basic strategy: build up your resource production and recycling, build an attack force that does enough damage to the enemy base so that they go into accelerated production mode. Build up all the remainder of your upgrades and cannons, while maintaining a defensive deterrent. Once your base is maxed, max out your attack force and go for the win. The game rewards you for beating it more quickly. As your score per kill goes down over time, you need to get the enemy base to go into their accelerated production mode as quickly as possible (by damaging their base a good bit) in order to get the higher score. If you just play defense until your base is maxed out, then your score ratio will probably almost always have dropped too far to ever get three stars.

the air units are underpowerd the enamies have an unlimited amout of millions of bullets at there base when air units get close, and later the enamies get missles that attack air units also. aair units need to be alot powerful, or the base needs less anti air machine guns

I love this game but you should be able to make some of your units stationary and be able to buy your own units that you want and stuff like that or maybe you can have units on stand by so you can attack in a great number (planes most likely-Dive bomers-)...but i still love this game....first one kicks....a$$.....

How to beat levels:
Upgrade resources, storage, etc.
SPAM carriers, submarines, destroyers, hovercrafts, patrol boats, and anything else you want
then use a full battery of turrets to fire a continuosus barrage of mortar shells in front of their base.
Then rape their flagship
Rinse and Repeat several Times

You need to make the player able to order their units to attack, defend, or hold position. The charging takes away from it.

You need to allow your army to die just before the flagship appears because otherwise they build up too many subs. I'm not sure this is good for gameplay.

also aircraft carriers are only useful on the middlish part of sea because enemy base renders any nonbomber flight useless.

this game is great, 4/5 however i think his other game, platoon wars which i dont think is as well known is better. got some great war games from this developer. good work on the games.

great improvements:
1.make the Yamato weaker
2.make the bosses come AFTER the base is destroyed
3.auto-build button
4.more resource upgrades
5.more torpedo battery slots
6.allow aircraft carriers to build bombers but also nerf their production of air units

here is a simple guide that should help: start with upgrading supply line twice then recyling,deploy 2-4 torp bombers to hold off the attacking ships, then warehouse supply and recycle till supply line and recycling are at 5. now build subs and cruisers to attack and upgrade factory to five and start building artillery batteries and upgrading your base. upgrade repair to 1 to get your base up to full health. when the enemy base is at ~20% health stop producing cruisers so the boss can come out faster then build whatever you want to kill the boss when your artillery can hit it.

this game is awesome. I love this and the first one. I am forced to agree with the subject of many other comments though. It really needs an auto-build option and a tactical withdrawal button.
