very fun for quite a while, yet i got bored after killing 100 planes. i think that it would be better (if less historically accuratw) if it was one of those " no win " games, try to survive as long as possible. also, has some small balance issuses. Ie, spitfighters take twice as long to build, but dont seem to be twice as powerful. it could be a tiny bit harder. after the month and 100 planes, all cites were at 100%. good game, however!

Very fun game. My only complaint would be that the 'random' events seem like they come up in relation to how well you performed during the day - I was closing in on a really good win with all cities 100 %, before being hit by negative event after negative event. After about five of these in a row, I was down to just six planes with five different raids. Four raids got through and, lo and behold, positive event. It's just very irritating if you're productions are on a very fine line. That said, it's a minor complaint and I really enjoyed the game.

ok nvm what just happened was ridiculus a spitfire shot down 3 bombers which left a single fighter. what was next on the screen was that 3 bombers blew up the city. didnt i just destroy them?

They kinda overpowered the messers and the hurricane was roughly equal to the spit in real life, other than that great game 4/5

I dont like how unconstant the combat is, ive had a spitfire that took out 4 bombers and i had 8 spitfirest that got took out by 2 bombers, what do i do?

I love the concept behind the game, and it's got great potential, but... seeing my numerically superior squadron of Spitfires get shot down in droves by a few Ju-87s is... disheartening, to say the least. As has been said, the airplane ability advantage should be clearly in the favour of the British, as even the stellar Bf-109 did poorly in the actual Battle of Britain due to lack of fuel for dogfighting. Not that I'd necessarily agree that the Bf-109 (or the under appreciated Fw-190) was better than a Spitfire or Hurricane even on equal ground, to say nothing of Spitfires and Hurricanes being shot down in large numbers by bombers, particularly Ju-87s (It would be like said Bf-109s or Fw-190s being slaughtered by Fairey Battles).
So, to sum up: British planes should be stronger, but pretty well outnumbered. I want a sense of my brave pilots and civilians struggling on heroically in the face of grim odds, not the sense of "Wow, my planes are terrible."
In the meantime, Achtung Spitfire!

i like the concept, still difficult, once you get farther and you have a devistating loss it is very difficult to recover from, try and balance it out some, very good start 4/5

i hate how when you hit the skip button right as the enemy planes shoot you lose the majority of your planes; as in the 50 that i just sent out i now have 5

for people who say the game is to hard: ITS SUPPOSED TO BE the luftwaffe had the definite advantage over Britain Allied victory was a miracle

Cool, original game that probably deserves a better rating. Although how 3 of their slow clunky bombers would destroy 10 Spitfires is beyond me -rather annoying. Also late on in the game I'm finding it lags so much it's completely unplayable (but that might just be my browser)

I would like a kind of encyclopedia feature which tells you the stats of both your planes (difference between Hurricanes and Spitfires) and the germans (difference between Stukka, Heinkels, Messerschmitts and Junkers). A 100% accurate report doesn't tell you much if you don't comprehend the level of enemy planes.

Too historically innacurate for me - the 'bombers' all look like the BF110, which was not a bomber. Perhaps modelling the actual planes claimed to be bombing, or, since it doesn't seem to matter what type is bombing, just have JU87's or 111's. And reduce the power of the bombers, too. Spitfires would rip any of them to shreds, which is why they needed fighter escorts. Also needs an increasing recruitment cap, as later in the game even the max of 20 won't cover your losses in the slightest. Last thing: Fix the dying builders or firemen glitch. I don't like losing more people than I assign to an area, which hurts my available manpower next turn. Good concept as a resource management game, but needs work. 3/5.

Doesn't always give out medals. Several times I've sent out 50 or more airplanes and gotten no medals and just got done taking out twice as many planes as I've sent and still no medal. Please fix? =(

The guys on here sometimes forget they are playing well developed games with tons of input for absolutely free. If I did this game I'd be telling some people here to shut the fxxx up. Stop whinging and enjoy.

hmmm, 2 bombers kill 8 spitfires, while 2 spitfires take down 8 planes, wow i must be in a unique situation here, oh look every single other comment is the EXACT SAME

It's a brilliant game that gives you a feel for real life strategic decisions. It shows how easily the battle of Britain could have been lost.

There is some sort of glitch that when the Germans attack my fireman count on one city had -1 also another glitch I found was that a destroyed city could be attacked again thus leading to 2 cities "destroyed".

This game is pretty cool, and I'd like to see it developed more. My problem is that the game seems to be larger than the viewscreen. Is there any way to fix that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You shouldn't be able to shoot down your own planes. Even after the fight is over and the enemy is all dead, your planes keep shooting and you lose to friendly fire. Giving it a 2 until it is fixed. Then it will be a firm 4. Good job

Wow...apparently their bombers are so awesome that when it's 5 spitfires on 1 german bomber, one of my planes die along with the pilot...Exactly how am I supposed to be having fun with the game with the numbers so heavily rigged against me. Such as I lost 6 spitfires in one turn, to them loosing 2 fighters and 5 bombers. 2/5 till game is fixed.

If you would tweak this a bit it would be a fun game. For instance, having morale hit an all time low on the day the Germans surrendered suggests something is off. Winning without any city dropping to 50% or even close suggests its too easy. Firemen are never needed. Etc. Still, fun game.

The random events feel planned... One turn morale is low, so no new recruits so I have to convert some of my extra workers into pilots so that I have fighters for the net turn. But on the next turn My workers come down with some strange illness that makes it so I have no new planes! This happened twice. You know what's awesome? Attempting to fend off the Germans with only 3 spitfires.
Had a turn where I trained German spies as double agents (+10 spies). The very next turn the Germans broke up one of my spy rings (-10 spies) in addition to the 10% spies they usually catch for a net of -13 spies that turn. Coincidence? I think not!
