The game is pretty easy. Your tactic should include at least 80% intelligence effectiveness, with decent plane production and metal gathering. All damages should be repaired right after it was done and get at least 2 recruiters per turn until you hit 20.
More tips:
- If you have a lot of pilots and not enough metal build Hurricanes and if the other way build Spitfires.
-Never lose more then 40% per raid.Use firefighters to cover the difference.
-Always outnumber your opponent. It will cut down your losses.
-You dont have to defend all of your attacked provinces.
-Avoid attacking to large force. It is better to use firefighters to minimize damages.
-Protect South East first and then other provinces if your numbers can stretch to cover more provinces (depends on attacking forces)
Good luck and have fun!

Say again? SAY AGAIN? I DIDN'T HEAR YOU! WHERE ARE THEY ATTACKING? DAMNIT!

i feel like a vs mode could work well, where there's a worker phase, and a plane phase, where you send planes to defend attacks or go accross the chanel and hit germany in three or more lanes for planes to intercept each other across the channel. Also, random events are too often and too bad some times (-10% inteligence means you need 10 more spies, and that means 1 more spies dies a day, which means 10% less men per day, assuming you get 10 men a day),and having a numerical advantage doesn't seem to help enough (i had 41 planes to their 20, they still shot down 22 of my planes). Good game, but it's a little too unbalanced, as out of the 4 games i've played, i've won all four, even though the events have screwed my strategy up a few times per game.

Victory ! After 48 days , i ends up with 94 functional planes ( 36 Hurricanes , 58 Spitfires ) 200 guys under my command . Still i will never forget when 20 of my planes intercept 8 Messerschmitt and 8 Dornier ............I lost 18 planes , 15 pilots yet only kill 5 Messerschmitt and 7 Dornier........Meh the kill to loss ratio is way OP in this game

i've learned there are two ways to play. creating a large force and protecting everything, or using spies and protecting the places where planes are approaching. tips for new people: 1. use all your people as recruiters and max them out ASAP. 2. its ok to have more workers than scavengers, as workers use 250kg a day and scavengers and collect 200-400kg a day. 3. only use spitfires, as lack of pilots, as opposed to lack of planes, will be your problem from day 1. 4. events will screw you over, and they appear to be more common in the later days, it's not the end of the world if you lose 5 pilots from an event. 5. try to stay on top of things, if you're repairing things every day, that's ok, but fix things after every day, and switch builders and workers to maximize effectivness. 6. never use firemen, as repairing afterwards is much more efficient and they could die doing their job and you should have enough planes to protect most areas anyway.

I BEAT THE GAME! with 301 german casualties and 164 british casualties. i got 19/24 medals. well a great game! and im still continuing the game. :)

good game, would love it if we saw net metal gain. instead of +4 planes and +4100 metal, it should show +4 planes +100 metal, because its hard to see if you need more/less collectors.

I'm not sure if it's actually built in, but I find that my spitfires perform best if they're just a bit outnumbered. I always get good kill ratios when I start off outnumbered, but if I overwhelmingly outnumber them they will smash my entire force

1 Hurricane beats 2 fighters and 2 bombers, leaving one through. However, 1 spitfire against 1 Messerschmidt and 1 Junker, yet they lose without downing any enemy aircraft... What?

Pilot:Sir i saw.. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx we're fucked!
Commander:What did u said?
Pilot:That they going to...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Commander:Damn russian scrap....*shoots the radio*

It's a surprisingly good game considering the simplicity of it.
There seems to be something wrong with the math regarding scrap metal though (I seemed to have more scrap metal than expected at all times).
Some suggestions:
* Rebuilding could be harder
* Firemen could be *slightly* more effective, or the cost of recruiting them should be lower

In the sequal, it can be about something like cold war, vietnam war afghanistan etc. where we not only defend but also attack enemy cities and we if we destroyed all their cities. And also different types of forces like paratroopers, tank and ships for coastal areas. It can also include more than 1 war/ country. Hope to see these in sequal. Hit + if you agree

"Sir, they keep shooting down our planes. What should we do?" "Surrender! Everyone surrender!!" "Sir, couldn't we just stop bombing them?" "No, we have to surrender!!" "LAST TIME I CHECKED, WE'RE GERMAN, NOT FRENCH."

Daaaaamn. 1 Spitfire against 4 fighters and 8 bombers and not only did he survive, he shot them all down! I think I have an ace on my hands!

Churchill: So, any news about the air raids?
Spy:*ahem* well, uhh, I know there will be Germans, and Probably, probably planes, oh, uhhh watch out cause they may have bombs.
Churchill:Where will they hit us?
Spy:...
Churchill:Really? I pay you for this?
(turns around, pulls out gun)
Spy(fast forward 50 years): And that, children is how we won the war.

@sukoi during the blitz the RAF had to let Coventry be bombed to pieces without doing anything about it, as they only knew about the impending attack because they had cracked the enigma code and protecting it would have given away the element of suprise.

Here's a tip, play Warfare 1944 after you are done with this one. It will feel like you're taking down the nazies you just owned in arial combat.

13. After you take 250 German planes, Put all of your Recruiters into Gathering and Working to load up on planes for the final push. Then put gatherers into building and pilots. This is to have massive numbers to match German massive numbers and put you over 300 faster.
These things get me to 300 in about 33 - 35 turns. But I got 32 turns only once. Can't figure how one gets less than that.

10. Better to send more planes at one wave and let one city get hit, than to send low numbers at all waves and lose all your planes.
11. Ratios:
Less than 8 planes: Send equal amount plus 1 or 2.
8-12 planes: send equal amount.
13 or more: send 2 - 5 less than incoming, as they will all likely be wiped out.
12. Set up Gatherers and Workers to supply 8 planes per round. Build up more metal than you build. Make more planes than you use, but not too many at one time. This is so you can suddenly divert gatherers to builders and build massive amounts of planes if (a) you lose massive amounts of planes in a round, or (b) you get hit by illness and build no planes. If a then b happen in quick succession, consider starting a new game.

Tips for beginners:
1. At the start, put all 4 planes in the South East and all 10 recruits into Recruiters.
2. Max out Recruiters asap.
3. Build Hurricanes at first, but don't build more than 10 before you switch all building to Spitfires.
4. Protect the South East at all costs! That is your base of intelligence gathering, and if it is hit, your intelligence suffers greatly. Rebuild asap!
5. Builders rebuild at about 6%+. More builders in one city increase the rate slightly. But they can die in bombing raids.
6. Don't use firemen. Waste of manpower.
7. You can let cities go unrepaired a little while, but don't lose any. Repair in big chunks at one time to make efficient use of builders.
8. Important: Let the first few rounds go, except to protect the South East, and build airplanes, then train pilots. You need large numbers of pilots and planes to win.
9. After you start fighting for real, build up your spies to target incoming more efficiently.

Anyone know how to get more good news out of this game than bad? Like, more POW's rescued that illness in the plane factories?
