The catapult use is one of the main point to go through this game. Sadly, it's a pain in the a** to use it either with mouse or keyboard. This game could have been fun, it's just a disapointment.

Cheap trick: Do not add archers. Upgrade your catapult and buy a knight and repairman (for wall or catapult is up to you). Kill all the enemies for 1 wave except for 1 (preferably an archer). Your repairman can repair faster than the archer can damage. Wait for time out without even meeting the bosses.

@FaustTheSad: For what Faust DIDN'T say, is that you can keep Wave 1 alive for each battle until the very end, allowing you to not have to fight the later harder waves in each stage.

The concept and artwork are fine and have loads of potential. But: 1) counters after level finish should finish on click, 2) the catapult is too sluggish, 3) AI of own units suggests serious mental incapacity issues and more of the sluggishness, 4) manually clicking on them to dig traps is less than ideal, 5) the holy spirit thing should be summonable at will after charging, 6) the tank should be summonable at will or at least allow control to send it in as FIRST IN ROW , 7) the stone and crystal resources need better balance in acquiring and costs, 8) pandora's box is only really worth it once every 5 times or so and should be closer to 1 in 2.5, 9) needs more defensive buildings (moat to slow enemies when they are close, hot oil to throw over the wall at will with a recharge time when there is a horde banging against it)

Easy way to win battles, max wall, have one repair guy, leave one enemy archer alive in the first wave, kill everything else in wave, summon repair guy as needed, let timer run out.

seriously like half the game the enemy is just coming at me and my catapult won't shoot. Also immediately upgrade your catapult and only focus on your catapult like the guy in the top comments says. It won't work, you can't even get past the first boss level with just your catapult.

I've read the comment about how to save the game. Took special care about that. Came back after a reboot, save game is gone. :C

I think there's a bug with amount of defenders sent to battle. I lower it to zero except, say tank, and when I hit "Send Army", it sends all the troops I said it needn't to. This and the monologues were too fast for me (English is merely a third language to me).

@zzzzTim: THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the strategy for defeating hard levels. Not having an elf archer and having one enemy alive on the field to stop the 4th boss from being summoned was the only way I was able to defeat Stage 4-3. Also, I agree with Lowgim that the 5th boss was way easier than the 4th one. That one I was able to win by defeating the boss instead of waiting for the timer to expire.

What's the point of Pandora's Box in the market? The best thing I ever got from it is 700 gold. But that was rare to get (usually got something like 100 gold), and barely better than buying the gold straight. Does Pandora ever give Crystal or Iron?

Commander, the giant boss is attacking the wall. We have a repair guy and a bunch of guys who the boss will just mow down. Should we send the repair guy out first? No, let the boss destroy the wall then send the repair guy out. He'll be so scared, we'll lose and have to start over again...

The fourth boss is difficult because of poor game mechanics. This is the mark of a poor game. Your strongest units inexplicably choose to walk past the boss rather than battle him, he destroys traps with his attacks, and your units walk in slow single file, weakest first. Sure, you can eventually beat him. But it takes multiple tries because you don't expect the game to actively hinder you.

Me: Servants, build me a chair with our stone. Servants: But Sir, we don't have any stone. (In battle)- Me: This is hopeless, we don't have any soldiers or stone for the catapult. Servants: Umm... Sir, we do have stone for the catapult. In fact, we actually have unlimited stone for the catapult. Me: But you said we didn't have any stone! Off with your heads!

I'm a little annoyed that because of what I built in my city, I can now not make it past the first boss wave. My wall isn't strong enough and my catapult doesn't do enough damage. So I built the market instead of the barracks, I was hoping for long term resource gain rather then units to only spend money on.

could you let multiple units of different types deploy at once? i hate having to wait for the 20 for soldiers to deploy while waiting for my worker to fi my wall...

it would be nice to be able to edit the order that your units come out so your foot soldiers who you deploy to dig traps don't rush out and get killed

nevermind you can either click on the two white flags to open build options and send options. A= Build army menu S= auto send all units D= opens the army window so you can choose what you want to send out (also have to come here to send the tank)

why wouldnt the golden knights just deploy every fight before the rest of the army? minimizes casualties and brings certain victory

Also forgot to mention that the mine should produce more stone, or battles should award more. Almost every unit costs stone, and I almost always have more Crystal than stone. Maybe make some of the units require only Gold and Crystal to build rather than all 3?

Would be nice if the send troop amounts started at zero instead of full. It's kinda annoying to -15 my elite melee dudes every time I send out a repair man or knight. Then have a "send all" option for each troop (really only necessary for the 2 melee classes), for when I do want to spam troops.
Even worse is when I want to have my god smite everyone but I can't call on them because my 15 swordmen are walking out of a door when I accidentally send them in addition to a wall repair man, also delaying the repair.

to people who might have trouble with boss
Know that the knight is invulnerable, and every time you click d he stops for a moment to charge.
When he stops, the boss will try to kill him which is impossible.
so press d, space bar, d, space bar, although it will take time, it will finish the bosses

More upgrades for buildings, army, hero. More heroes and maybe some spells? I liked the game but it was a little bit repetitive so maybe put in some other kind of game-mode. I was thinking of seige-mode against cities occupied by evil. Maybe some sidequests?

From what I've seen the only time the holy spirit would be useful is in the first few levels, where you couldn't get it, unless you tried to die and replay levels for about 30 minutes or more.

Single worker vs. single archer to win by running out the clock. Kill all enemies but the last archer, your single worker can repair the wall faster than the archer can damage it (if wall is upgraded enough to handle it). No new enemies or waves will appear as long as that archer is alive.

market was the last thing i got fully upgraded, and oh, how i regret that- maxed out market buys and sells gold at a 1-1 basis, and obviously over that for crystal and stone- its so good!

Has potential, but too many failings
1) Forced to fail levels repeatedly to build a strong army is NOT 'good gameplay', it's 'forced grindan' and nobody likes it.
2) Limiting 1-2 of the best units is just stupid, especially when they die too easily anyway. If you're going to limit Hero class units, make them as strong as Hero class should be, they should be able to solo tens of mobs before dying.
3) Resource gain is too slow and not rewarding enough.

You should get the resources back for any men you've built that survive. I just built like 10 guys, hit go and then I won before the 2nd one left the gate!

Man this game is awesome. What about The Great Siege 2. Include a multiplayer, Survival, No units, etc. Keep up the great game!

Are you guys trippin balls, wtf, 4 badges on a game that does not even have an autosave?! Not to mention buggy controls, boring gameplay, lame graphics.
