Anyone else shit a brick when it first went ''LEGENDARY'' ?
Really enjoying this game so far. The only criticisms I could add are ones that have already been mentioned, the sorting cards needs sorting out, and all the to-ing and fro-ing with menus.
Otherwise, you deliver your usual addictiveness with this game. I'm pretty sure I'll rate this a 5/5 when I've progressed a bit more. Although yes it does need work, as I've noticed with your other games you take on board and fix virtually everything that people mention, and you keep going. I can see the effort you have put into this as well. Not just all the 'behind the scenes' stuff, but the graphics are a VAST difference in quality, yet you still manage to keep your style. Best of luck with future games, I'll be playing them, lol :-D

for those who are frustated and wants to get a good deck, without buying any cards (or maybe just want to get the badge): http://www.kongregate.com/forums/3-general-gaming/topics/149879-how-to-win-at-cardian?page=1 . the deck over there is very good. after you get the hard badge, just buy the 20 cards pack and you'll get medium badge easily. if you still hasn't get the easy badge just buy the 8 cards pack.

There should be a place on the card that tells you how much damage each unit does to the enemy portal. I noticed that most units take 1 or 2 from the enemy's portal but others take away like 5 or 6. It would help when planning out decks if you knew how much portal damage they can do.

So... Dark Merchant, a common card, costs 15 souls, and increases gold production by 2, while an uncommon card, blood pact, also raises gold production by 2, but costs 20 souls? What's up with that?

How about some sort of in-game manual? And tool-tips when you mouse over things would great -- especially units you have "played" in your 5 summoning slots. Once you play them you lose visibility to their stats. The playing experience is very mushy, touchy-feely. I would like more explanation and definition of what is going on. What do all the symbols on the cards mean, for example? Some are intuitive to me but others are not. What's the deal with the global enchantments? Is only one allowed at a time, do they overwrite each other (last played stands?), is there any other way to remove them other than playing a new one? A manual (in addition to the in-game tutorial) would have been welcome here.

If only 10 cards can be drawn at any given time and only 5 units for summon, why not have keyboard shortcuts? numbers 1 through 0 for the cards, enter for drawing a card, and qwerty for the summon.

Ultimate tactics: set a card that will get the enemy portal damaged every time your unit dies, and then zerg rush them with your low-level units. Finish off the enemy portal with direct damage card if necessary.

Would be interested in working with you to improve-finish the game.
These are the things i´d help you with
Player vs player
with ranking system: top ranked players get prizes weekly (keeps them active), ranking resets monthly or weekly
Card interface
Stacking and sorting of cards, shred multiple, buy mulitple cards / packs. Unpack bought cards instantly.
Auctioning of cards,
- currency gold for every thing non-legendary and kreds for everything legendary (with a 1 kred cost to list, which is given to developper)
Resource fix
default cost of drawing cards should be lower, decreasing the need for a good starting hand.
In the end it doesn't matter, but it's the fresh players who decide to stick around or not.
Alternate ways of winning
I really like how some cards have an effect on the battlefield, damaging portals if X happens, but spells need to be a bit deeper. For example being able to persuade an enemy unit.

good game, but no developer response to any of the 2k+ rated comments, which I also plussed. I would really like to see cards stacked, and more balanced resource usage. Also, it would be nice to see more information on your opponent, like in other CCG types.

once you get the cards to manage the gold income this game is very nice... the cardbrowser and deckmanager needs a lot of tweaking and ...cmon, 18 opponents... and when you defeated them, alotta money and no other challenges? could be more

First of all, I wanna say a big CONGRATZ to Undefined! U got me totally hooked on the game man! ^^ What people are saying about the need for better card sorting is true to be honest, but I still think this game rocks.
Also, to everyone who hasn't yet figured out how to calculate the damage a unit will do to a portal, it's very simple guys: Attack Power / 10 (the result rounded up to the nearest whole number). For example, a unit with an attack power of 40 would deal 40/10 = 4 damage to the portal. As regards the rounding up, just to explain it clearly: a unit with an Attack Power of 24 has a Portal Damage of 24/10 = 2.4, which is rounded DOWN to 2, while one with an Attack Power of 25, has a Portal Damage of 25/10 = 2.5, which is rounded UP to 3. Any ability which increases a unit's Attack Power, like the "Warlord"'s "Inspiration" for instance, will factor into it BEFORE the calculation.
Hope this helped guys! CIAO! ;D

Just right click to change qualities. It helps with lags and crashes. Only problem is that on low it's really hard to read, so you would have to change it if you want to read stuff.

Once you get "Parting Gift" (grey, while in effect any unit killed deals 1 point of damage to its enemy's portal) you can pretty much build an unbeatable deck only made out of gold mines, two or three crystal mines, parting gift and cheap units to send against the enemy to be killed. You can also put in instant soul givers and as many "Siege Engines" (grey, deals 10 points of damage to enemy portal) as you have/want. Game pretty much becomes trivial that way.

I've spent the last hour tearing up cards to clear out my inventory so I could make a decent deck without scrolling through 100 pages of cards... Please, add stacking so we don't have to see each individual copy of a card. And also add an option to tear up multiple cards at one so I can clear out a whole stack.

Heres some advise, Dont waste your money on 1 legendary card, spend 300 gold more to get the massive booster pack with 20 cards, you have a good chance to get a legendary in that pack and you get tons of other great cards

You should definitely, on the card browser, have a way of telling which cards are in a deck and which aren't. I'm tired of tearing up cards, only to find out it was in a deck, while I have a perfectly idle duplicate eager for the tearing.

So are you just supposed to fail until you gather enough gold to try to get good cards? All of my summons are killed instantly by the enemy even though they are the same type and I have more of them out at once, so I can never damage their portals.

Strategy for people having trouble: While playing, I prioritize things like this: 1st: build up income as much as possible, especially gold. 2: draw lots of cards. Emptying your hand by playing as many resource-makers as possible and playing some of the cheap dudes (not actually summoning, just get them onto your "summoning bar". 3: keep building up your income. Once your gold income is over 10 (or more, if you have a lot of expensive dudes), wait until you've got a healthy buffer of gold already collected (200 or so) and then summon as many dudes as possible as quickly as possible. Then play more of your creature cards and summon them too, until you're broke again. Spend any damage dealing spells you've got to hinder your opponent's counter attack, then draw cards and repeat.

An easy way to get the hard badge.
First select the Holy Paladin Pack.
After the tutorial go and build a deck. Which should include: All gold mines, 2 crystal and 2 iron mines. All peasants. And the global enchantment card "Parting Gift"
Global Enchantment: Parting Gift- Damages the enemy's portal for every one of your units killed.
Strategy: Use all of the gold/crystal/iron mines as soon as you get them. Build up some gold, then play the Global Enchantment card. Once this is played you need to send 100 peasants to their deaths. Each Peasant killed will damage the enemy portal by 1. With this strategy the better the enemy is the easier it is to defeat them.
Special Note: Level 2 and 3 enemies (The second and third time you play someone) They also have a global enchantment card. Only play your card AFTER they have played theirs.

I was having a lot of fun. Things were a breeze, I was getting good draws, my warriors were warring mightily and with great vigor... until I ran across Captain "Pulls Beholder Swarms Out Of His Ass" Tribal Elder guy. Then it went downhill from there. I managed to beat him, but... yeah. It's problematic when hordes of beholders come rushing at you and one-shotting even your Barbarians and Iron Golems like they're fresh skeletons. Still, I enjoyed it as I do all Arkandia-based games, so... 5/5 :)

ultimate deck?: 7 Dwarven boon's (+150 gold each) and 5 mud golems (12 each x 5= 60 golems total after summoning). each golem dose 4 damage to the portal, so only 25 out of 60 need to make it, and wth the dwarvaen boon's, you can summon all 60 in the first 20 seconds of the game.
this deck will win all 18 battles, i know because thats how i did it.

1 parting gift card (when a unit killed, enemy portal take 1 damage) ... 1 decker card (drawing cost decrease) ... 2 portal growth ( +10 hp ) ... 10 gold mine ... 12 peasant ... 3 crytal ... thats all ... ... If you don't have at least two gold mines and 1 crystal mine in your opening hand, you should instantly surrender... use parting gift card and start summon peasant. Every dead peasant mean 1 damage to enemy portal. I finish game with this deck.

i had peasants right next to the enemy portal with 4 points to win when the game crashed.guess i had too many peasants and the enemy spawned one

You can easily go undefeated with just peasants, parting gifts, gold mines, crystal mines. Kinda makes all those shiney legendary cards feel a bit less shiney :(

Nifty game. Division between browse/deck is awkward. Can't see what is in deck on page where you sell cards. Also, fail states are possible so an end/quit battle is needed. More generally, there's not a huge amount of synergy in cards so decks boil down to spamming; needs a little tightening up.

easyest way 2 win is just get a crap load of gold max ur summonings and then summon all at once then pause wait 10 seconds and repeat
