strange-one of my heros has crosbowman for a normal unit and PALADIN for the advanced unit! also, all units belonging to a hero (hired from his sub-menu) have that hero's element! so the choice of which hero to use on each map is critical-you can't just choose the hero with the highest level!

So the game looks excellent, but if I may make one comment, it'd be nice if the element types showed you exactly what they were when you moused over them. Fire is quite obvious but for example, energy used to be purple in the older Protector games, however the purple cloud (fist?) emblem is physical here. It's quick to figure it out by trial and error, so this is just a minor complaint. The Protectopedia does not include a reference, which is also unfortunate.

I've encountered this bug a few times: My melee units seem to stop attacking on some rounds... Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm quite pleased with this game. The upgrade system is a nice improvement from the previous games in that you need to spend Experience and Gold in order to upgrade and you can choose from a variety of different skills, not every unit has the same generic level up. Overall a very impressive game and I, along with others have very high hopes for if you release a fifth Protector defense game. They just keep getting better and better and better. :)

What if you don't want any of the heros at base camp and its full? You can only get new ones if you buy and sell the ones you don't want. Please change this.

Gotta hand it to em, I rarely comment, but the protector series is one of the best flash games to ever be released, loads of fun, long, and near infinite replay value. Many different styles of play, and has always been the perfect twist on Tower Defense. Simply adore the UO tileset as well, having played UO for about 5 years of my life (sonoma shard), it's always a joy to play these titles. Keep up the good work. I can't way to get back home and play it more!
......... that being said, the game will consume the next month or two my existance....
Cheers freind. Cheers!

Very impressed so far. Everything seems a step up from the rest of the games, and goes a long way to restoring my faith in the Protector series after the relatively poor #3. Great depth and gameplay, and all the little things that contribute towards a top game. Easily the best Protector to date.

Great addition to the series. A few comments... I'd like to be able to click a wave number and bring up the incoming wave info window. That way I can see stuff like the armor of later waves. Also, when you make a new game, do the options affect the story or just starting player stats? I'd like to explicitly know what they do for my stats, so I don't need to make tons of new games to figure out what I want.

Ah thanks for clearing that up Undefined. I automatically assumed it added directly to the steal bonus instead of modifying it. There's a text bug with Piercers being called Crossbow on the hero page, not in battle though.

I rather enjoyed the first protecter but it seems as though every time he makes another game its almost the same as the last one and I have tried all the others but there all so similar.

ummm... not to be mean but there is a typo in the game. when you look at the mage talents, it says for "mental focus" tha instead of the.

Oh man, a new Protector game. Looks like I won't be leaving my room anytime soon. I enjoy how the games have evolved over time. :P
