@elmotinak, @Ebircs: For "Path to Shoreview":
1. spend your skill points on Mage, Poison. (then it doesn't matter unless you have enough to get the Inflictor upgrades)
2. Put a mage right in the middle of the map, then one at the end of the back branches.
3. Try to upgrade in the order the mages see the enemies, upgrading the one furthest in the back
4. Focus all of your upgrades towards Poison, inflict, and specialists. Choose Inflictor.
With just the three mages, I was able to beat the level. I had 8 skill points at the time

IT's funny how this weeks badges of the day were all games from 5 or more years ago that I had already earned the badges for.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wait. You can get the poison badge without even having a poison mage?!?! I got it with a energy mage which had the inflict infect ._.

This is one of those tower defense games where time just flies by even though it felt like 2 minutes of playing. 4/5 since I can sell stuff ;D

Is it just me, or does anybody else think that the mages and warriors have don't have shoe soles, and that they have some foot disease? Because, seriously, who can't stand on grass?

What if all the badges were already turned into Badge of the Day then we wouldnt have new kongpanions and extra xp anymore o.o

Not "map", but "area". A map is composed of several areas, if you do all the areas, you complete a map.. Completely irrelevant to the game, just saying.

Instead of using the phrase "Playing Time" or "Time Played", it's "Time Wasted". Thanks for reminding me how much of my life I wasted getting the Hard Badge. :|

Anyone looking for the badge of the day: Step 1: Play a few waves. Step 2: Upgrade mage of choice by click him then click the the +. Step 3: Click the poison path (skull and cross bones) Step 4: Play some more if you need. Step 5: Level up again, but with infect instead of poison (which will have disappeared). Step 6: Play a round. Step 7: Profit!

Hmmm... An all damage/speed quickspell with holy light has 106 attack (with my current bonuses, which are coniderable, but apply to both mages here) and attacks just under once a second... And the all damage destructor with holy light has 535 damage and attacks just under once every one and a half seconds... 94.22 repeating dps for quickspell (not counting buff effects, which are tiny) vs. 319.403 dps (Again, not counting buffs)... So... Inflictor for effects, otherwise, destructor. Just go destructor.

1/5, you should be able to sell units mid wave, a wave should be supposed to end after a certain number of units and not last forever if you're unable to harm it and a easy badge requesting poison to finish enemies shouldn't be requested when in an early wave you meet enemies resistent to poison

I knew there was a reason why I bypassed the game that started it all. The original Protector is ruthless and unforgiving when it comes to skills, elements, upgrades, and even positioning. Everything comes to an exact science. It is definitely the type of game for anyone looking for a challenge.

The only thing I hate about this series is how hard Undefined has tried to make warriors irrelevant. Mages are vastly more powerful than warriors and not only because they can hit flying and are ranged.

I don't know why, but I just started reading the tutorials in Claptrap's voice. It was just amusing enough to go through the whole tutorial again.

@serash1 mages have more range but lower damage, warriors have low range but make a lot more damage. at least the basic units.
@JDcompy thanks for the hint, i didnt considered using consecrate before reading your hint. still a little tricky but I got the badge now.

What's my favourite part of the game? The last baddie who gives me 250,000 gold and 100,000,000 XP. Shame after I kill him, the level ends and I can't use any of it...

So I don't know if anyone actually cared to look at the randomized names or not, but I hired a mage named "Greg, Yes that Greg."
