good game, you created an excellent atmosphere with the music that changes from a chinese flute to something more grimdark when there is a battle, cynical dialogue and seeing the peaceful countryside turned into horror, the gameplay is a bit counter-intuitive, obviously in real life armies dont play on giant hexagons but I still think morale plays too big a role, one unit fails and the entire army is rendered ineffective? A limited number of moves?

That moment when ALL the other countries all try to gang up on you. I had to commit my army to my capital the entire game. Instead of a mission to conquer it was a mission to survive. It actually fun! I was beasting and taking out all their forces for awhile, funny as hell. But after 32 turns my fate was sealed. That was challenging yet fun! Even though after a few turns I knew I was guaranteed to lose.

Great game...really caries the theme of ww1ww2...mass battles on wide fronts that consume whole areas. Really cool and creative.

The easy level and the medium level were easeful to clear. However, the hard level was a bit difficult, since all the opponents attack you at once. I made a layout with the kingdoms. In the easy level, i used the map 000,000 to Bluegaria (my favorite color being blue), followed by 111,111 to Greenland, 222,222 to Redosia and 333,333 to Violetnam. In the medium level, i used the map 444,444 to Bluegaria, 555,555 to Greenland, 666,666 to Redosia and 777,777 to Violetnam. And finally on hard level, i used the map 888,888 to Bluegaria, 999,999 to Greenland, 250,000 to Redosia and 500,000 to Violetnam (while 25 and 50 are numbers that I like). In the easy level and normal level, i never used the speech, now hard, i used one time or another.

@stewstew22: in map 010011 violet will conquer red in 5 turns with them both as AI, and I was able to win as blue in 18 turns. Red does have an advantage, but it's not supreme.

sooooooo old. I mean, I love the game, but I played it to death two years ago. I'm just going to hope they brought it to kong as a teaser for the upcoming sequel... I can dream, right?

When a game works, the second part is always player vs player. Me personally, I prefer to play vs computer, mainly because in this type of games, the losing player always quits early so you can never win properly

I agree with Grandemperor15. Losing your main capitol should be game changing. But it shouldn't necessarily mean gameover. Losing your main capitol should wipe out all of your moral, or at least all most all of it. Your troop production should also be halved or something. A bit more realistic, but their way just ends the game faster.

Ok, I figured it out. Same thing, but it needs some luck. Annex cities to the north and delay the attacks on your capital for as long as you can, and try to flank the red capital from the east, through the water. The AI is stupid enough sometimes.

map 545896 was pretty good, all 4 empires meet in the middle and it forces u to be very careful who you ally with. even the towns are evenly placed for each empire so it's balanced.

Make sure not to spread yourself too thin. If you attack a lot of enemy towns and drive them back quickly, but dont have any cannons as reinforcements, the enemy can push back and take back their ground lost as well as push towards your capital.

The thing is, You get to control every town you just conquered. The 99 troop army is much of a big deal. It is the easier to barge in and take the capital than go to every province and slowly take each town. Taking over a province=nothing but a big empire. Taking over the empire's capital=Taking over every town with a feeble 99 army to worry about compared to the big armies you have. The 99 army will take over surrounding towns but its only 1 army.

its a little mean that on hard the ai ignore each other and just go after you. If your winning it'd make sense for them to do this but often they just commit suicide and let one of the other ai win.

very nice game, you do need to use good strategy to win, but once you figure it out it is extremely repetitive, needs some way to introduce more variety to make it truly great, as is 4/5

This game is brilliant in its simplicity. I'd love to see it expanded upon with team games, multiplayer, some new features. Otherwise, great.
