I have an unhealthy obsession with creating a stable network that can suppress creepers at high emitter counts, then sabotaging the network and watching it slowly fail.

I think it would be cool if exploding Buildings (weapons, Collecters ETC.) left a crater in the creeper when they went off, like a small explosion, 'cause they do explode after all... anyone agree?

Just for reference, you base cannot send more then 32 packets worth of energy at a time. If you are producing more and trying to use more, you'll have surplus AND deficit.

I would love it if I were able to stick around after Odin City leaves so I can watch the creeper destroy my hard-built base. :)

@aronbon: The credit for ridiculously fast time goes to the few. So far iMiPi (no longer playing), hawk45 and a few others have been gracious enough to post both their times and screenshots. Many times I don't even realize that a killer time can be had until I see an extremely fast time. HINT: Usually these very fast times involve dropping Odin City into the creeper for the final connection to the last totem. Odin City can take a huge amount of damage and still be used to complete the level. For today's challenge, Odin City was hovering back and forth between a collector and the uppermost totem. You must use the Pause button to effectively use this method. While some argue that this is an abuse of the game, I prefer to think of it as merely one variation (fastest time), just like many like to cap all 5 wells. The beauty of this game is that it can be played i many different ways. They are all valid. But at 64 years old, I am happy to take any compliment you youngsters might offer. :-)

What is the highest survival score? The emitters with me are now over 200 and still "in control". Perhaps this could be added in the high score menu (since there are already so many different high scores).

Jan 5 easy way:
Park city on bottom right.
On the highground in the bottom right, build 3 collectors leading to a mortar on the left edge of that highground.
Now relax, you have all the time you need to build

Crikey - at least 40 starts before I did it with 7351. Method was pretty much what Plixus and gsklee did... put the city on the left of the terrace at the top/middle. build collectors, get the 20% faster upgrade, build a morter and a laser while you build a line of collectors out to the left. Fly the morter to the left once its got some ammo packets. Use the laser to protect the morter. Build another single laser on the tabletop near the city, but so that the big depression is out of range. You'll need two SAMs to survive the first spore attack. Around that time build a couple reactors because you'll be out of accessible land area. Then just work down the tabletop and consolidate.

Finally beat today's map (2013.01.05)! Strategy used is very similar to @Plixus' (don't think there's other viable strategy either), but after the first spore attack you need to have at least one Drone ready to make the real difference; Mortars alone can't prevent you from being overran!

@Cybagorilla: This is more a level pack than a traditional, full game - the original Creeper World game published on Kong (Creeper World Training Sim) featured a full tutorial, as do the download versions.

Apparently, staying in a level for an hour automatically puts you in survival mode, which is much, much harder. Beware!

WeirdJedi, Creeper World: Evermore is an expansion of it using algorithms to generate maps, giving a challenge and replay value to fans. If you want to learn, play Creeper World: Training Sim first, then the easier levels of Creeper World: User Space.

@ gidder - This map is indeed challenging, compliments to the creator! Here was my strategy for 5th January 2013: Fly the base to the nearest left plateau, get the upgrade (+20% building speed), build some Collectors along the upper rim and a Mortar to bomb the left pit. That buys you some time. Build a Blaster to keep the Creeper from Base, increase energy, build SAMs. After the first aerial attack, fight back Creeper in the pits with an airlifted Mortar or a Drone. Once the Mesa is clear, you can easily keep the creeper low with Mortars.

am I the only person that has a need to to eradicate the creeper completely off the map, running them back to their emitter setting up no less than 2 guns apiece so they can't come out.m mmuhahahaha.

This is one of the best games I've played. It made my childhood when I was about 8, now I'm glad to see it's still growing.

This game is awesome, since 3 years i´m coming here on a daily basis to play.
Even though i play it differently (only 2 mortars, 5 blasters, and these speedthings, no other buildings, and of course without moving the base, to cover everything)
I love looking at your comments to ensure myself that i´m not the only addicted!

Still playing this in 2017. I played all of them. Creeper world 3 :Arc ethernal and this one really are my favorite because they're the ones who makes you think the more.
