I miss the fact that there's not an actual game here. There's no real progression of maps from easy to hard, there's no significant new gameplay features. The new map a day idea is good, but you do it and that's that. They don't really have a theme, so it's just whatevs.

14th is probably the most fun level the game's ever produced... definitely the most difficult. I'd love more like that.

142 emitters detected. We're continuing to hold the line. This horribly named 'Wall of doom'. Obviously the higher ups haven't learnt from the Maginot line.
192 emitters. Line is still holding. What? the higher ups are chickening out? They have ordered the powering of the totems? Bollocks, we're doing fine here!

drogon091: There are hotkeys in this game: 1 through 9 for units, x to delete the selected unit, and spacebar to cancel.

@LaBaDa-Suddenly, you glance down and notice that your starvation level is 100. You barely manage to utter a cry of "OH SHI-" before you get flooded. Happy Mortar Spamming.

A big thing to pay attention is than the maximum amount energy you expend is 30 so if you have arsenals that uses more than this total amount, some of them won't get ammunition fast enough even if you have abundance of energy production. Please vote this up so people can see.

"Sir, we have pushed the creeper back and can can now keep it contained on less than .000001% of the planet's surface." "Great job, lets leave" "but we could just live here" "no lets leave" "Wont all our defenses be destroyed when we leave?" "Yes, lets go" "Um, yes sir"

@ whateverguy360- the games object is really simple...protect Odin city until you can get the green totems powered to create the portal through which Odin city must escape the Creeper.

Note for 2017-01-25:
The third rift token is UNDER the orange deposit (the bonus marker) in the top center of the map.

I play this game every day. Instead of having a new map every day, why not have a generate new map button, so we can play more than one new map every day.

Firtly nice idea with having a new map everyday, but i think we need bigger maps now. Still the Creeper we love, but on a massive scale!!!!!

If you're having a hard time surviving early, move your base to high ground away from the creep spawners asap. Makes building up early easy. Use blasters to shoot thin waves near your collectors, use mortars to take out deeper waves or to shoot uphill. Blasters can't shoot up.

Getting tired of all the people complaining about automatic survival mode. It takes AN HOUR for that to kick in, and you can still win after it starts. If you were fighting a real creeper, it'd probably start sending out more minions after a while. And seriously, if you don't have that creeper securely pinned to the wall within an hours time, you're doing something horribly, horribly, wrong. Rethink what you're doing, obviously your strategy isn't a good one.

Love this game, and I really like the idea of a new one everyday, but I would like it even more if there were different difficulties each day, easy, medium, and hard for example.

When you've finally truly beaten the level by having blasters at every emitter so the creeper stays controlled forever, and then you scroll down and read the top rated moment...you realize that it's true, and you almost can't help but feel sorry for destroying the creeper. And then survival mode kicks in, and all of that goes away as you make one desperate attempt to slow it all down. I hadn't read the description at first, so I had no idea that survival kicked in automatically. That knowledge would have drastically changed my strategy. I like the addition, now that I know how it works. This has always been one of my favorite game series, and even though I haven't followed it as closely as I could have, I'm definitely looking forward to the third installment.

ok, now that I've expanded my network as far as it can go in this direction...no! *spore strike destroys only connection*

The map for 2012-Jan-17 is a good challenge. Took me a few tries to get the right start where I wasn't overwhelmed right away. I wasn't able to control the emitters before the 60-minute mission timer elapsed and it went into Survival Mode. Pity this map cannot be saved.

you should be able to build a transformer of some sot, so that when you get too much energy for your city to give out, the energy will be dispersed out from another location (like the solar stations in space game)

@Palmer: Your energy is at 0 because you are using all that you are producing. The response is to build more collectors, (if you have room), or reactors, (if you don't). You might want to restrict yourself to adding one more at a time, (or building a chain), so as not to draw too much away from your weapons.

Suggestion: Confirming Survival Mode requires that you activate all totems to begin, so that the mission is marked as having been completed when you die. Don't make me choose, you're tearing this family apart!

Would it be possible to not just have a bunch of random crap maps? Having, say, a turkey shaped map yesterday would have been epic. Also kind of annoyed that all the creeper spawns always seem to just line one side of the map. That's not as much fun.

Has anyone found a good strategy for survival mode that doesn't require a ton of micro? So far I've just been building a wall of turrets in front of a wall of mortars and pumping in as much energy as I can. Then around 300 or so once the guns get depleted faster than they can be refilled I cover the area with air strikes and swap them out with fresh guns from the back. With as many extra drones as possible so I can destroy them afterwards rather than waste energy on reloading. It just seems like there has to be a better way.

After half an hour, I have successfully contained the creeper at its spawn. I then spend another half an hour filling the map with weapons, energy storage, speed daemons, and reactors. Once i finish with that, I hit the survival button. Twenty minutes later, the creeper is still contained at spawn. Is that supposed to happen?

New maps every day? My office productivity just went into the toilet. Now if they ever release a sequel to 5x Man I am really screwed.

@W0lfl0ver: Um, I don't think there are any survivors in this game. This game is solely to activate totems to beat the map. Also, collectors are much more efficient than reactors, as they grant the same amount of energy but collectors are 1/4 the cost of reactors. They also are needed for your energy packets unless you want to use relays.
